I still get teary eyed thinking about Ann-Margret and what she did for our troops during the unpleasantness in SE asia in the 60's, when almost none of the so-called "stars" wanted to give up months of their lives for hot, wet weather and a chance to bring a little life to us over there. As usual Bob Hope was there spending his own money (and he was English born). There will always be a soft spot in my heart for Ann-Margret, not as an entertainer, but as our Angel from home.

"She has won five Golden Globe Awards and been nominated for two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and six Emmy Awards, winning in 2010 for a guest role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." And that's a partial list. She did a guest spot on "The Kominsky Method" just a few years ago. Her list of TV and movie credits is quite long, and that's not including her innumerable Vegas and Vegas-type shows. She also had a 50-year marriage (husband passed away). She did just fine (still alive, btw).
