- In the year 2000, Donovan traveled around the country and saw Tina Turner on her 24/7 tour 21 times.
After Tina seeing him in the audience doing all the steps, singing all the words to every song, she one day surprised everyone and invited him to perform Proud Mary with her in front of a sold out crowd in Dallas, TX at the Reunion Arena on October 28, 2000. To this very day, it is the best day of Donovan's life! Donovan is the only fan that she has invited on stage with her to perform!

I laugh, because I couldn't wear my heels anymore by the time I hit 30, so forget about my even being able to move across the stage the way Tina did at 60, holy cow. Like she said, "What set me apart from other girl singers is that I can DANCE", & dance she did. What a Power House.

Fantastic! Tina kept a tight eye on Donovon at the beginning. She looked a little tense a few bars into Proud Mary, as if she was thinking, 'What have I done?' Then she saw him fall right in, hit every move perfectly, and relaxed to concentrate on the song--and having a little dance fun with Donovon! Love it. Be Blessed, Tina. It's May 25, 2023 and the terribly sad news of Tina Turner's passing is being felt around the entire planet. I've watched this video more than 5 times and enjoyed it each and every time. I thought about Donovan Marcelle upon hearing the news of Tina's death. No I don't know him, but watching this fantastic video of him being invited up to the stage from his idol had to be the top of the toppest for him. I am sending him my deepest sympathy. You were right there Donovan and we all enjoyed seeing you enjoying it.
I had to watch that several times, Donovan got every step of that routine DOWN - WOW! TINA IS A DREAM talent out of this world, and she was so gracious to allow her stage to be shared with one of her biggest fans. AMAZING!!!!

I was so fortunate to catch Tina Turner in LA in the 70s when her hubs was playing. It is amazing to see that she never lost that song, it just gets better and better, and Donovan was indeed, killing it and looking so fine.
So much fun to watch one of the worlds greatest performers do something purely for the of someone else. Her dancers were so glad she did that. One of the nicest, most generous moments I have ever witnessed. I though the chemistry of the dancers and Donovan was so fun.

I was there that evening and i have to say the audience went NUTS when he got up there and was so good. I was about 20th row back on the floor and the energy in the place was though the roof. Still one of the best concerts i've ever seen.

This truly brightened my day. I had tears afterwards, knowing this man experienced a dream of his. 17 shows, wow that's commitment and love! Donovan didn't miss a step! WOW Donovan OMG! You were awesome. The first amazing thing was when she said she had noticed him down in the audience for 20 shows! Then to let him come up on stage was absolutely beautiful...now that's a real S T A R! Both of them were lovely!
This never gets old!!!! I love this concert so much, but Donovan was Fantastic and flawless. He was also the icing on the cake for me. A huge joy to watch. I had the privilege of seeing the Ike and Tina Turner Revue at Ravinia in Highland Park, Illinois.
This was awesome and so beautiful that Miss Tina allowed Donovan to dance with her. He really got down and this showed me what a beautiful person she is both inside and out. What a lot of energy from all the performers.

Donovan missed his calling if he isn't a dancer. He did a fantastic job! I just love Tina Turner. She's an amazing singer and a real class act. I'm sure Donovan will never forget her kindness.
