Following on from yesterday's comment, as a Dutch Australian shipping photographer and ex international model who lived all over the world in the 70's and 80's, I am totally with you Ben on this one! Wow! My brain was exploding from the awesomeness of this absolutely wondrous experience. You asked a question about wanting more knowledge about glaciers etc. As you are a Londoner you may know of the publisher DK. Look for a book simply called "Earth". It is amazing and will teach you much of how this beautiful planet was formed. I studied it after many of my worldly travels and enabled me to understand the magnificent geology and formation of earth's spectacular nature. By the way, you are the kind of person who I would appreciate as a true friend. You have a wonderful attitude. So anytime you want to come to Australia, please contact me. Cheers and please keep them coming. Awesome! Awesome! AWESOME!
eblalgen yes I saw his vlog this morning swimming at Bondi Beach. Unfortunately, I live by the beach in Adelaide and I don't think Adelaide is on his schedule. Thank you for answering. I don't think Ben replied to this comment but he did reply to a previous positive comment I made. He is one of several daily travel vlogs who I watch. It makes me wish that I had all this amazing technology when I was travelling around the world in the 70's and 80's.
!!!!!! You captured my absolute speechlessness after my first helicopter ride ever. Haha!!! Awesome. Ben, you rock. Thank you for documenting the ridiculous surreality of this adventure. I miss not having internet and having long profound conversations with all of you. Can't wait to see the rest of the vlogs :)
As each child smiled to the camera I giggled with delight. I dont think I have smiled so much through a vlog. Im so looking forward to the next installment. Your feelings of amazement are contagious.
I'm speechless, Ben. This Vlog was truly beautiful. The drone shot's were breathtaking, as was the helicopter ride. One of the best things I've ever witnessed. Hope you're keeping well mate.
at 12:34 - Ben pointing at the helicopter and telling Mr. Chris Hadfield that being a helicopter pilot is the second best job, and of course being an astronaut is the best job. Kinda reminds me, humans have already conquered space, walked on the moon, planning to get to Mars, but the earth has still vast unexplored aquatic and terrestrial areas.
we're not even sure how the earth's mantle, the outer core, and the inner core look like. we may be able to reach Oort cloud in the future, but I don't think we can ever reach at least the earth's outer core, or even the mantle and explore them.
Seriously… my favorite blog of yours so far Ben. Also, I felt quite emotional at the end, when you spoke of feeling better for being off the internet and the connections you've made because of it. You looked emensly well when describing your feelings. It must be truely Awesome there :-)
Showed my 82 year old Grandma your vlog today and she was smiling the entire time. She thought it was spectacular. Keep up the amazing job! SOOO looking forward to the Arctic Vlogs.
This is amazing. Ben you have experienced so much in your life already... much more than most do in a lifetime. You are living the life. Keep up with the great content.
The time-lapse from the bridge is the most awesome timelapse I've ever seen. The water is so smooth.. ..its jaw dropping Ben. Just absolutely beautiful!!
This is honestly a beautiful vlog. You can see the excitement on the faces of everyone on the ship. That right there is my favorite part of traveling, being able to meet people who are just as passionate as you are, and I'm glad you've been able to capture that Ben! Used to think I'd never want to go on an arctic cruise but these vlogs are really opening my eyes.
I love how the buildings & homes in that small town are painted in such bright happy colors. Very neat. As per usual, drone footage is on point. Fantastic vlog Ben. Appreciate all the TLC you put into these.
Ben, I am LOVING your videos.... your enthusiasm and joy are infectious. Having been on all four legs, the entire circumnavigation of the Arctic Ocean, I wish you guys had all been with us all the way. You are incredibly talented and have the gift of being able to share your experience...Well done!
Wow, wow, wow incredible videos. You can't help watching them with a smile on your face. What an amazing planet we live on and thank you for sharing your experiences Ben.
That part with the children made my heart melt!! ❤️ such a beautiful moment! And they actually talked about which way would be the shortcut to the boat
These vlogs are sick. Well done Mr. Brown. Greenland has officially been bumped up the travel bucket list. Just curious, did you have any issues with Mr. Zoomy in the extreme cold?
no issues! Outstanding performance! Note that your phone/ipad won't do well in the cold though, get a lifeproof case to fix that issue then you're golden :)
I got worried for you when you took the drone behind the ice burg from where you were standing once line of sight gets broken with mine things get sketchy and ive had RTH activate haha
I have yet to trust the sensors on the RTH. I just have my hight set pretty high. I had it activate twice on me on my last trip. I was chasing a boat down the intracoastal but my position not ideal. the second time i knew it was going to activate i was flying in between 2 condo buildings...... The most best part about that flight was the landing my drone was attacked by a swarm of bees
Not only the footage amazed me, but I think the way you treated those kids and trusted them was equally as amazing. You sure have made their day! Stay as cool and friendly Ben! Love from Austria!
My favourite vlog until today was the Isle of Mull one, but this was just something else. The boat time-lapse through the water, the drone shots, all of it together was sheer perfection. Well done Mr Ben Brown.
I'm glad you said your fav part of the day was the kids. I thought it showed your human side. So many people would not have let the kids try and you were SO chill about it and let them really have fun. I am sure that you did spark something in them!
Those drone shots got me really really excited to get back to our boat and film. Though we'll be in the tropics, none of this cold weather stuff for us! haha
So rad. Thanks for sharing the gorgeous views and Arctic vibes Ben. Just got back from a week of canoeing and portaging off the grid... being away from the internet and reconnecting with nature for several days is so incredibly refreshing in ways that words can't fully describe. I think most of us have a natural affinity for the outdoors that you can't quite feel or understand until you've experienced for yourself. Life's too short... get out there! :)
That red headed girl is literally me. I've been catching up with Ben's vlogs and watching this entire arctic series and I had just gone downstairs and was telling my mom about it and how it's always been my dream to go on an arctic adventure and film it! All of my friends are obsessed with the beach and tropical vacations & I'm over here like "well I like ice... lol" I'd take an arctic expedition over a tropical cruise any day!
Ben, I had to stop the vlog for a second to say: they are absolutely, unbelievably beautiful! I'm so glad you took this opportunity to show us this incredible landscape and scenery! Thank you! xx from Germany!
The time lapse off the front of the ship is AWESOME! holy cow that perspective and focus was definitely my favourite part of this adventure so far! Whales are a close 2nd.
hey ben brown, I am born and raised in Greenland for 16 years (Nuuk, capital of Greenland), but the last 14 years I've been living in Denmark. I am so envious that you've been places/towns that I have never been before in my 16 years of my life in Greenland. Such an adventure you have been.
Breathtaking. I was going to ask if this trip met your expectations, then I heard you say "top 10 day of my life". Most of us will never see this. Thanks for sharing
Very sweet moment with those kids. The audio from the ground combined with the drone footage made for some of the most entertaining drone footage I've seen!
The Arctic footage is EPIC, bro! Absolutely loved the timelapse of the boat deck passing through the icy waters. I was a bit worried for your drone with the kids for a while, but in the end it was a beautiful moment. Thank you for sharing this, ben. Keep up the good work!
These vlogs are some of the best vlogs I've ever seen. This arctic series is out of control and I am really looking forward to every episode. Your visual vibes is going to go viral for sure! I am so proud to be a brownie and I am loving the content you produce if you are at home in London or out doing adventures in the arctic.
he did a video a little while back on how he has his work flow set up. For me I set up a folder for each day then have subfolders for each camera then I import the footage. If im shooting in 4k ill set up proxy files to make it easy to edit.
Thanks The Coffee Guy Vlogs, interesting. Do you also tag them to make it easy to do a more detailed search for when you try to dig up old footage? And eblalgen I realised he had external HD, I was just wondering if he just store them in daily folders or by topic and so on ;)
I don't tag things at this point but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea. My only issue with the method I'm using right now is when Import to premiere it tends to put my files all out of order so it kind of kills workflow. I'm sure his There's an easy fix I just haven't found them yet
Also extremely interesting was how you talked about "getting off the internet." We struggle with the same idea, especially when we're documenting our travels as well, even if it's for ourselves, but just knowing that a piece of technology is interfering with our full on, genuine enjoyment of the moment. Some of the best moments of our 1 year sailing trip were when we forgot the camera or ran out of space/memory!
I love how genuinely ecstatic your boat/helicopter mates were. Sometimes bloggers can can be a little too cool for school. Loved seeing the awe on their faces. What a sweet bunch :)
What language do those Greenlandic children speak? Greenlandish? Or is it some kind of regional/tribal language? Really interesting, I didn't know they looked like this.
Definitely one of your best videos, Ben. I really enjoyed the 'people side' of this one, with the kids playing with your drone. Already looking forward to the next update! Cheers, Chris.
The kids with drone was awesome, the helicopter (crazy Russians..) epic, and the little monologue about being entirely removed from the online world just struck a chord - such a quality vlog!
The way you interacted with those kids kept a constant smile on my face, hope you really enjoyed this trip Ben because I am really enjoying these vlogs, keep up the good work!
Getting off the internet is one of the things I love about the way my family spends NewYears. The house we go to doesn't have service 'cause of how far out in the country it is. So having 30ish of us getting to hang out is so great.
In one of the last scenes, where you two reflect on your day, the window frame in the background looks surreal! like a friggin' picture. The contrast of that blue look out of the window to your yellow-lit room is rad! I gotta say, just discovered you blog and I'm blown away by your cinematography and photography! You're doing a pretty awesome job and I know the amount of work that's behind all that, being a photographer myself! Carry on! Your work speaks for itself!
Well Ben I've been watching your videos for quite some time now and my god, you never fail to amaze me! The time lapse with the clouds on the mountain top was so simple and beautiful! The little segment with the kids was so charming :) ALSO Tim is one of the move gorgeous men I've ever seen to be honest..
*I personally think that bringing joy to people, especially children, is maybe the most important thing one can do.* The reason is that they will have more than enough of suffering through their lives, and while there is not much can be done about that, trying to balance it with at least a little bit of happiness is a truly noble thing.
Amazing trip and footage! It was really cool of you to include the local kids in what you were doing and being so calm about them flying the drone! Nice work all around!
I have thought very highly of you, because of your vlogs, for some time now. After watching you with the children my respect and admiration for you is off the charts. You are one of the great people of the world.
I love that Tom Scott is in these vlogs. It just makes me happy.
LOVE those timelapse shots of the boat moving through like at 11:45, amazing ben
That was epic
Insane
Literally 😍
So good!!
so amazing! this channel is right up there with sv delos! its blowing my mind, its so good. way better than tv any day!
Chris Hadfield. What a stellar dude 👌🏻
I see what you did there
Haha I swear that wasn't even intentional 😂. I'll take it tho!
I can completely recommend his book its very interesting
Yep, i really enjoyed it as well
Name of the book?

haha you were SO STOKED!! It was amazing, you're addicted to Helicopters now right ;)
Seriously. I am in helicopter withdrawal currently. Need to find a pilot stat. :)
Never been! Really want to visit though :). And thanks!
As each child smiled to the camera I giggled with delight. I dont think I have smiled so much through a vlog.

Creative North Nobody can go to space!
I'm beyond hooked on this series
That shot in top of the ship as it traversed through the icy waters was the coolest thing ever. Hands down
Seriously… my favorite blog of yours so far Ben. Also, I felt quite emotional at the end, when you spoke of feeling better for being off the internet and the connections you've made because of it. You looked emensly well when describing your feelings. It must be truely Awesome there :-)

that time lapse of the boat navigating the ice field was the coolest thing I've ever seen!! I could seriously sit here and rewatch that all day
This is amazing. Ben you have experienced so much in your life already... much more than most do in a lifetime. You are living the life. Keep up with the great content.
That timelapse from the top of the boat looking forward is one of the greatest things ive ever seen Ben!

Love how you connect with the kids along the way! Noticed that yesterday too. Great little smiles. Great reflection of your personality as well :)
I love how the buildings & homes in that small town are painted in such bright happy colors. Very neat. As per usual, drone footage is on point. Fantastic vlog Ben. Appreciate all the TLC you put into these.
that city under the mountain in the beginning is just insane 🔥
and there's Chris from Space Expeditions :D
I agree with the lady, I also dream of going to the Arctic. Tropical beaches are fun and all but glaciers and icebergs are just mesmerizing to me.
Incredible footage my friend, greatest vlog I have ever seen. Greenland is nuts :-)
love your vlogs too!!
You have some great content dude.
You're the one with the incredible footage! very nice.
The visual vibes for this trip will be unreal
Awesome story Ben. That drone footage of the town, the icebergs, and the ship... basically all of it is just amazing.
Wow, wow, wow incredible videos. You can't help watching them with a smile on your face. What an amazing planet we live on and thank you for sharing your experiences Ben.

oh yeah man that's why I cut that shot because RTH kicked it haha! Just set the height and you'll be golden :)
I have yet to trust the sensors on the RTH. I just have my hight set pretty high. I had it activate twice on me on my last trip. I was chasing a boat down the intracoastal but my position not ideal. the second time i knew it was going to activate i was flying in between 2 condo buildings...... I'm pretty sure 95% of Ben's audience can't afford to visit the Arctic.
Not only the footage amazed me, but I think the way you treated those kids and trusted them was equally as amazing. You sure have made their day!
Stay as cool and friendly Ben! Love from Austria!
awesome, awesome, just awesome. It's amazing that you actually got to go there. The footage looks beautiful.
amazing job Ben!
My favourite vlog until today was the Isle of Mull one, but this was just something else. The boat time-lapse through the water, the drone shots, all of it together was sheer perfection. Well done Mr Ben Brown.
Awesome - Just Awesome! Everything travel should be

That time-lapse from on top of the ship, navigating through the ice is one of the sickest shots I've ever seen. Loved it.
11:33 - 11:48 bro that must be the coolest time-lapse I have ever seen
no doubt
Was literally just gonna comment the same thing!
really wish he added that to the visual vibes, but the visual vibes was top-notch nonetheless
Those children were adorable. And how sweet that you chose that as your highlight of the day!
When I went to Ecuador for a month I had no internet and it felt amazing ;)
I went there in July, it was great!
Wow did you go with Camps International???
I went to Galapagos, Amazon rainforest, Quito and Mountains :)
Well I live in Ecuador! Glad you liked it, we have a huge amount of biodiversity!
+Jose Guadamud Nice! I loved my time in Ecuador and yes you do have a lot of biodiversity it's amazing! I made 4 vlogs of my trip
So rad. Thanks for sharing the gorgeous views and Arctic vibes Ben. Respect
Ha! Sounds like an SP-ism.

You get Grade A Plus....the way you handled those kids.... Great job.
Ben, I had to stop the vlog for a second to say: they are absolutely, unbelievably beautiful! I'm so glad you took this opportunity to show us this incredible landscape and scenery! Thank you!
xx from Germany!
Dude in the red beanie F'N loves Glaciers!!!!!!
The one at 13:58? That's Tom Scott, and his expression is indeed one of awe.
Gotta love tom scott
The time lapse off the front of the ship is AWESOME! holy cow that perspective and focus was definitely my favourite part of this adventure so far! Whales are a close 2nd.
You're definitely THE BEST youtuber!
I Love how you let the kids actually try out your drone! A lot of people wouldn't let them in the fear of them breaking it! You are so sweet Ben!
7:01 My name is Ben br....
hey ben brown, I am born and raised in Greenland for 16 years (Nuuk, capital of Greenland), but the last 14 years I've been living in Denmark. I am so envious that you've been places/towns that I have never been before in my 16 years of my life in Greenland. Such an adventure you have been.
HOW THE F BEN DOESNT HAVE AT LEAST 5 MILION SUBS HE WOULD DESERVE EVERY ONE OF THEM AND MORE!!!
That Time lapse looking down on to the front of the boat is amazing! Possibly one of the coolest time lapses Ive seen
*Yay more Chris Hadfield! :D*
i loved how patient you were with the boys. They just look so excited to help you out with the drone!
Dude. That. Freaking. Hyper-lapse. Holy crap 😱️
Breathtaking. I was going to ask if this trip met your expectations, then I heard you say "top 10 day of my life". Most of us will never see this. Thanks for sharing
The love for Tom Scott is real.
Very sweet moment with those kids. The audio from the ground combined with the drone footage made for some of the most entertaining drone footage I've seen!
please do a Q&A with Chris Hadfield, he is such an interesting guy! Like if you agree!!
just realised its probably a bit too late
+LUGA lmao
The Arctic footage is EPIC, bro! Absolutely loved the timelapse of the boat deck passing through the icy waters. I was a bit worried for your drone with the kids for a while, but in the end it was a beautiful moment. Thank you for sharing this, ben. Keep up the good work!
The glacier reminds me of toasted marshmallows
That helicopter slow-mo was on point, and the glacier footage was breathtaking!
the crazy thing is 90% of an icebergs mass is underwater... so imagine that big one you were pointing out underwater :O
Thumbs up before i watch !!
me too
I am actually amazed at the amount of tourists at such a small village! I must have seen atleast 10 cruise ships during the drone shots.
it was just us and one other ship, the local economy is helped a lot by the limited tourism :)
Those were just ice burgs in a distance that looks like ships
Ben, how do you keep all your previous footage from the vlogs organised?
Amazing content as always! Keep it up
I really want to know how you do this to ? :-)
He said somewhere (here or on Twitter) that he kept up with the edits everyday. He also brought a lot of external hard drives.
he did a video a little while back on how he has his work flow set up.

Some of the best moments of our 1 year sailing trip were when we forgot the camera or ran out of space/memory!
Wonder how much this expedition trip costs ?
Near $9000 I think
Enough that a discount code was worth £2000.
I literally looked up Quark Expeditions. Their website is amazing.
Alice Banaszewski Entering a discount code gave you £2000 off, which tells us something about the full price.
I found a trip for 14 days with the same company. It costs 27.995 USD + flight 1795 USD. Bingo I think just take my 14 days i Thailand for 2000 bucks.
Most likely *Kalaallisut*, or *West Greenlandic* as it's also called.
Thank you :) Very cool!
Definitely one of your best videos, Ben. I really enjoyed the 'people side' of this one, with the kids playing with your drone. Already looking forward to the next update! Cheers, Chris.
notification squad, what up!!!
+Kappi did I, Whoops 😂
Whaddup!!!!
Living for these vlogs, icy cold locations are so much more beautiful
Those kids were sooo amazing! So stocked that you have the chance to share moments like that with incredible people!
Ben, that timelapse from the bridge gave me goosebumps. Thanks for bringing us with you and sharing your experience!
Arctic vlogs are crazy beautiful, so far... Love those time lapses so much.
Getting off the internet is one of the things I love about the way my family spends NewYears. The house we go to doesn't have service 'cause of how far out in the country it is. So having 30ish of us getting to hang out is so great.
You're amazing!! You're so kind to let the kids have a go with your drone, and to claim that that was the highlight of your day!!
The bit with the boys and the drone was just so adorable! Incredible footage as usual!
That scene with the kids and the drone shows how great of a person you are Ben! Not hard to support such an amazing person.
That timelapse from the top of the boat through the ice was amazing
I think that shot at 11:45 is quite possibly the most satisfying shot you have ever featured in one of your vlogs!
That zoom out SHOT with drone, ben with kids was insanely BRILLIANT! LOVED IT😊
In one of the last scenes, where you two reflect on your day, the window frame in the background looks surreal! like a friggin' picture.
The timelapse from the highest point of the boat was something else. Great job Ben.
Well Ben I've been watching your videos for quite some time now and my god, you never fail to amaze me! The time lapse with the clouds on the mountain top was so simple and beautiful! The little segment with the kids was so charming :)
ALSO Tim is one of the move gorgeous men I've ever seen to be honest..

Gonna be watching all your Arctic vlogs on my tv. Everything is beautifully shot! This needs to be on TH-cam's homepage.
Amazing trip and footage! It was really cool of you to include the local kids in what you were doing and being so calm about them flying the drone! Nice work all around!
that time lapse where you could see the deck of the boat was absolutely stunning
that POV ship timelapse moving through the ice field was unbelievable. potentially best vlog yet
This deserves an OSCAR, every single episode!
You're so talented Ben!!!!!!!
Thank You-we honestly don't take it for granted 🙌🏽❄️
...how lucky am I to grow up in a generation with people like you Ben Brown!
The land and water are beautiful, but I especially love seeing the people! The kids are so cute!
Everyday just gets better and better, amazing, beautiful footage. LOVE the drone shots of town, breath-taking
I have thought very highly of you, because of your vlogs, for some time now. After watching you with the children my respect and admiration for you is off the charts. You are one of the great people of the world.
What a sweet little town Ben. Never seen anyone travel here before and document it. Enjoyed seeing this.
Really loving the arctic vlogs! Moved 'go on an arctic cruise' up towards the top of my bucket list...
