My skull was my reward for winning the marathon world championships in 2010, my triangle on my hand reminds me to keep moving forward and make progress, and my turtle/Pura Vida tattoo on my leg is a reminder of my amazing time in Costa Rica. New tattoos - mountains on my arm & VV on my wrist because I didn't know what I wanted until 5 mins before I got them!

- Why aren't you training for kayaking anymore? - I see new opportunities everyday, I'm just grabbing them as they appear and keep working hard, right now that's TH-cam & Film. I'm happy I made the change!
- How long do your vlogs take to edit? - They vary massively, sometimes 1 hour sometimes 6+

About the icebergs (which I love) - they always turn around, that's why you see some of them being all smooth and shiny on top (the ones that have already turned at least once) and some of them are more rough and spikey (the ones that have more recently broken off of the glacier)
Most people know that you literally only see the top of the iceberg, and it's way bigger under water. But the water being slightly warmer than the ice slowly melts away the iceberg from the bottom, until the top is too heavy and the balance is off. That's why they tip over, sometimes only half way at first and sometimes fully... It's so fascinating!
It creates huge waves though, which can be pretty damaging if the turn happens close to where people live...
This is so interesting! I spent many hours reading about icebergs and glaciers because of Ben's vlogs. Very fascinating. The footage is also unreal. Look at the colors when he flies the drone near the glacier!

Just goes to show how great the world is when left untouched by us humans.
6.00 am here in wintry Adelaide SA, morning brewed coffee in hand, starting the day watching another epic Arctic vlog. I spent three years driving a VW campervan as a photojournalist to the top of Alaska then to the bottom of South America and then on a car carrier across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe. Stolen in Seville, Spain! Devastated! Wrote a photo illustrated book. I therefore understand your 'oneness' with nature in such environments. Man, living in huge congested cities, have lost the connection. Loving your vlogs. By the way, please check out Perito Moreno Glacier in southern Argentine. It is also stunning and amazing. Well worth a trip, combined with other adventures for daily vlogging.

You probably already know this and have been told on thousands of comments before mine. You are so, so, so lucky to be doing what you do.. and at your age man. Big up to the adventures! Drone footage is MAJESTIC!
A while ago I asked for more wildlife photography and you told me to stay tuned. You delivered tenfold :) Africa, Rio, New York, London and now the Arctic.. It's like that show with Ewan Mcgregor in it.. Long Way Down? But with a new setting every other month! I am not a big fan of daily vlogs for the sake of daily vlogs (except for The Defranco Fam because of Trey because he is adorable) but this content I wouldn't want to miss out on ever. Have you thought about stopping daily vlogs and just uploading this type of content? Your adventures (and filmatogaprhyfnsj,kd) are what make your videos so amazing.

I noticed that too. Kind of like when I go to the UK with my British husband and keep having to switch between to-mat-o and to-mate-o. But when in Rome.... I've trained my husband to pronounce them gl-ace-iers , not gl-ass-iers because after all, how many are in the UK, compared to northern Canada where we live, so we must know how to pronounce them properly...right? Also, Ben, you know there are two c's in Arctic right? All the above in jest...your videos are spectacular and remind me of how lucky I am to live in Canada's north. You should do a trip up the Dempster Highway in the Yukon with Mr. Zoomie. You'd be blown away with the landscape scenery there.
