You need to plant tree against a stack of three stone or wood blocks. It's faster than the loid rocket spam and forces Steve further in the corner. Loid as tree is falling. Then you know they want to minecart to get center or to the other side and can catch those panick options. Using tree in neutral is super viable against Steve. They're used to wiff punishing everything because theyre tilting you while mining. Steve's also fall for tree shield break set ups because they want those out of shield combos on you super hard. Probably less viable for competitive but yolo it'd be funny.
He was a Donkey Kong main for about two and half years since this game came out, and then more Roy mains started getting success and he have tried to pick it up, got some wins against Zackray shiek. He still played DK last month in a 3v3 tournament

Matchup inexperience and Hikaru hasn't played much Steve. Don't get me wrong, the character definitely isn't anywhere close to banworthy, but he is broken, like many other characters.

Kept has played Villager and Isabelle for the last 3-4 years vs this guy's Steve for maybe a year or so. Big difference in character mastery
