God this was so much fun to watch. The little stinger at the end, the extremely upbeat battle track, the complete misinterpretation of a very simple letter, it's a joy. Love that Villager put up so much of a fight in the animation too, especially the use of the bugs was pretty creative. Very much looking forward to that next time, it's definitely been a long time coming.

I would think that the alternative ending would involve the psycho villager meme and some decapitation, similar to how brutal Isabelle’s alternate ending was. But considering how the axe broke, yeah, fair enough. Maybe he could craft another one, idk. Maybe it would be a bit more poetic if he kills a Minecraft character via crafting.

Great episode and I loved the fact that instead of Alex even telling Villager about the team she decides to go and beat him up instead while Villager is confused the entire time. Not that I i’m not excited for it’s just the memories of last time that have me worried though I assume Sonic does get some sort of boost in somewhere. Also I do have a question what happened to the Hand Drawn Episodes? It would be really cool to see more like them unless y’all are not able to.
Just discovered this series and fucking loving it, and this is a standout for me. You did a good job showing such a weird matchup, and as always you show a lot of respect to the characters. Even though this was heavily in Alex's favor, Villager having the strength advantage is really noteworthy, and he gets a few moments where he shows it off in the fight which are both awesome and funny. The KK Slider soundtrack also slaps.

Yeah. Though Sonic presents a huge problem. We have no idea how strong Hyper Sonic is, but by now even base form is probably stronger than Hyper was in Sonic 3. Yet, theoretically nothing's stopping him from using it again. This means we don't actually know Sonic's stats at full potential.
OH MY GOSH, that was amazing! I really liked both of the analyses and the animation was super fluid and funny. I loved the Mr Blue Sky reference at the beginning, that's one of my favorite songs ever. Great episode, was not expecting Sonic vs Fox 2 to happen soon, but I'm super excited given how amazing the first one was. Just know that most of your fanbase is not pressuring you to make Sonic win, a Fox win would make sense. Plus Fox is just cooler.

Oh my gosh that was amazing! As a HUGE minecraft fan, this episode made me really happy. You guys really dug deep with your research and included Alex's potions, totems, utility items, elytra, and even firework bows! Also love how you accounted for the "minecraft: the island" books and the fact that minecraft items are compressed when picked up. 10/10 episode. Funny, accurate, and completely true to smash bracket's goals as a series.

Man this episode was awesome you really did both characters justice. The fact you made villager look amazing and had him actually pick up a fight was incredible
Damn, they really did a good job at making Alex seem so intimidating and imposing, she beat the hell out of Villager and treated them like a ragdoll, though Villager didn't go down easy, they put up one hell of a fight, even making Alex use a totem of undying at one point, though once they started getting a real upper hand, Alex ended the fight immediately, showing that even if Villager can match if not even surpass her in power, they simply get outclassed in battle skill.
I'm a bit nervous that Kirby's durability will be determined to be low moving forward. It might be hard to find a feat of durability, but it would be underwhelming if he couldn't take a hit.
Yeah kirby has a respectable durability but we gotta hope they count the black hole and other feats. Kirby can hit hard but he sure can't take it. I wonder how strong sonic is now
Yeah...i don't think they are going to realize that kirby has as much durability as strenght And before anyone asks why, well is because of the third law of Newton, every action has a reaction, or, simply put, if kirby couldn't resist the same amount of power that he used on his (for example) baseball feat, he would be OBLITERATED (or at least, hurted) but, when the mode ends, kirby is show normal, without any sort of damage or something diferent, yeah...

15:45 This is arguably my single biggest problem with other versus series(Mostly DB and CFC). Due partially to the specific matchups they pick and partially due to scaling getting more and more out of control and absurd, most matchups tend to be stat stomps so things like experience, intelligence, training don't matter, despite losers (Sam Fisher, Bane) often being better in those categories. The weaker both characters are, the more and more all those 'minor' factors matter since having a stat advantage is less useful

This one was going to be a stomp match, but it is a lot of fun. The editing was great, I thought, and I loved the K.K. Slider soundtrack. Was the Nookphone considered as part of Villager's kit, out of curiosity? It wouldn't be particularly relevant (outside of a ruleset that calcs creation feats as equivalent to destruction feats, which I wouldn't do) (being able to make or destroy dirt pillars is of limited use, and the rescue service isn't a useful anti BFR if the battle is on neutral territory). But it is one of the more unique things Villager has access to.
Great fight and analysis! 6:22 It could be theoretical infinity cause a cow can be milked for infinite amounts of milk and she can pull a cow with infinite mb worth of milk with a fishing rod and hold it in air with a lead without any sort of reaction.
She can lift 2 by 1 meter objects like doors, plants, and beds not just 1 by 1 meter cubes she can also lift any animal with a lead or fishing rod. You also forgot the super powerful golden tools for villager

I don't know. I feel like Villager could've taken that one at the end. Using his balloons to lead up into the air or he could use his signature Pocket ability to pocket the missiles and send them back.
I love the fight and the custom sprites, my favorite moment is when Villager stops Alex with one hand and hits her with a tree. Villager’s analysis was too short they should of mentioned the golden tools, the slingshot hitting a UFO out of the sky and more items like the jet pack, the moon or sun. But other then that fantastic fight.

But you still need a shovel to pick up the tree. You can’t just grab it. Also his strength will go down after he blocks Alex attack there. The fruit only give you 1 straight pound, you lose it after you shovel up the tree. You would need to eat more fruit to use more strength, and he can only eat 10 fruit,
One thing he never brings up but I guess he doesn't need to is that Alex can make stage hazards like the wither (or the wither storm thing from story mode but I don't know about that one)

The difference here I think is that the different laws of physics are noted in canon in the books rather than something just existing because its a video game

READ UNTIL THE END I know ur gonna say things about the novel but how do you know the game and the novel is the same ? If they were the same then Steve and Alex will have some sort of personality difference , also she should be able to hold at least a full set of gold armor and 2 gold blocks which is about 44 tons . For her durability , you can use the feat when she survives the nether with no problem , and the nether can evaporate water .
That was a pretty good watch. Oh boy. Fox vs Sonic. Okay, I hope Smash Bracket doesn't listen to everyone who says "Sonic at base level is uni or multi" cause that is not true at all. Sonic should still win, but still. Sonic fans can be god awful so hoping when its done, its done right, and more importantly, well made (Animation is what I really care about) and not JUST to please a bunch of whiny babies cause they think Sonic is "downplayed"
From purely a gameplay perspective Alex is technically stronger than Steve because she can do all the same stuff while having thinner arms which make her have a slightly smaller hitbox, allowing her to dodge more hits(even if the difference is unsubstantial).

In the many manga adaptions of Animal Crossing, Villager HAS: Become a giant muscular version of himself and punched with enough force to uproot trees and houses. Had his legs somehow become wheels as he ends up stuck in the water unable to breathe. He lived. Became a toaster I think? Ran across water. Has a shirt that makes him buff. Became a doghouse that a dog lives in. Had a swordfish nose up his butt. Pretty deep in too. Became Toilet Paper??? Has what I can only describe as a skeleton of a quadrupedal Japanese man. Made his Eye stretch very far. Only one of his eyes though. Fished up a fish that looks like it would be a fish version of him. It looks disgusting and it tried to eat him too. Impersonated a Gorilla I think. Has a third arm made out of snot that he can control at will. Wore a crown and had a firey aura around him. Got stomped on by a giant 3DSXL with hairy legs and feet. Shed his skin. (It is disgusting) Has once rapidly aged and de aged in a moment. Got attacked by the moon itself. He has a firework cannon which shot him to the moon in a mere instant. (Is related to the previous sentence) Gave a porcupine a back massage. He hurt his hands very much. Had a shark bite his head. An octopus shot a ton of ink on him. Became Half Human Half Plant?? Thats the best way I think I can describe it. His fingers can stretch extremely long, taking up most of the comic panel. Became a Flamingo??? Has access to a doll who's face stretches out far beyond where it should. Has a lot of chest hair. (He doesn't like it I think) Became a water hose in a Fire Hydrant??? Rode a monster bouncy castle??? Had fishes eat his legs. Lifted a giant barbell with nothing but his naked butt cheeks. While soaking wet and naked, used his butt cheeks to swing the Master Sword up and down.
I really don't like the way you are calculating Alex's strength, isn't in your rules that games come before any other media. So why are you using these novels to discount obvious shows of strength in the game? I agree that carrying so many blocks is not a sign of strength because it is clearly shown in the game that when blocks break they turn into item which are light enough to float. However breaking blocks is obviously a strength feat, there is a reason why certain blocks take longer than other, that pickaxes help, that blocks break slower under water, that different blocks break easier with explosives, etc. I have never read those books but I can't imagine that by your rules they can really be primary cannon to the extent they completely nerf the character where it is clear and obvious in the actual game that the player is not meant to be displaying magic powers but is actually breaking the material.

"However breaking blocks is obviously a strength feat" Except with items like Strength Potions increasing is strength, the results stay the same.

Its Team Friendship. I assume they want to make a base to do stuff with later. They are all together in a strange new world so may as well set up a base.
Not sure how this was missed, but in Minecraft you can carry over 2,000 blocks, the heaviest is gold. So 2,000 cubic meters of gold is roughly 40,000 tons. And the characters run while holding that weight. I don't think villager strength even comes close to that, and that's rounding down and ignoring shulker boxes.
It seems you missed the part of Alex's analysis where they explain how all blocks are weightless when they are put into an inventory. A Minecraft Novel explained it.

Due partially to the specific matchups they pick and partially due to scaling getting more and more out of control and absurd, most matchups tend to be stat stomps so things like experience, intelligence, training don't matter, despite losers (Sam Fisher, Bane) often being better in those categories. The weaker both characters are, the more and more all those 'minor' factors matter since having a stat advantage is less useful
I would argue Sam having better training and experience than Snake, though. Sam doesn't really do "boss fights".

This one was going to be a stomp match, but it is a lot of fun. The editing was great, I thought, and I loved the K.K. Slider soundtrack.
Was the Nookphone considered as part of Villager's kit, out of curiosity? It wouldn't be particularly relevant (outside of a ruleset that calcs creation feats as equivalent to destruction feats, which I wouldn't do) (being able to make or destroy dirt pillars is of limited use, and the rescue service isn't a useful anti BFR if the battle is on neutral territory). But it is one of the more unique things Villager has access to.

She can lift 2 by 1 meter objects like doors, plants, and beds not just 1 by 1 meter cubes she can also lift any animal with a lead or fishing rod. You also forgot the super powerful golden tools for villager

I love the fight and the custom sprites, my favorite moment is when Villager stops Alex with one hand and hits her with a tree. Villager’s analysis was too short they should of mentioned the golden tools, the slingshot hitting a UFO out of the sky and more items like the jet pack, the moon or sun. But other then that fantastic fight.

You can eat fruit to give you more strength. But you still need a shovel to pick up the tree. You can’t just grab it. Also his strength will go down after he blocks Alex attack there. The fruit only give you 1 straight pound, you lose it after you shovel up the tree. You would need to eat more fruit to use more strength, and he can only eat 10 fruit,

I know ur gonna say things about the novel but how do you know the game and the novel is the same ? If they were the same then Steve and Alex will have some sort of personality difference , also she should be able to hold at least a full set of gold armor and 2 gold blocks which is about 44 tons .
For her durability , you can use the feat when she survives the nether with no problem , and the nether can evaporate water .

From purely a gameplay perspective Alex is technically stronger than Steve because she can do all the same stuff while having thinner arms which make her have a slightly smaller hitbox, allowing her to dodge more hits(even if the difference is unsubstantial).

I really don't like the way you are calculating Alex's strength, isn't in your rules that games come before any other media. So why are you using these novels to discount obvious shows of strength in the game? I agree that carrying so many blocks is not a sign of strength because it is clearly shown in the game that when blocks break they turn into item which are light enough to float. However breaking blocks is obviously a strength feat, there is a reason why certain blocks take longer than other, that pickaxes help, that blocks break slower under water, that different blocks break easier with explosives, etc. I have never read those books but I can't imagine that by your rules they can really be primary cannon to the extent they completely nerf the character where it is clear and obvious in the actual game that the player is not meant to be displaying magic powers but is actually breaking the material.

Its Team Friendship. I assume they want to make a base to do stuff with later. They are all together in a strange new world so may as well set up a base.
Team friendship is a group of fighters teamed up “for the lore” to make some story similar to how the fighting game characters are teamed up.

Not sure how this was missed, but in Minecraft you can carry over 2,000 blocks, the heaviest is gold. So 2,000 cubic meters of gold is roughly 40,000 tons. And the characters run while holding that weight.
I don't think villager strength even comes close to that, and that's rounding down and ignoring shulker boxes.
It seems you missed the part of Alex's analysis where they explain how all blocks are weightless when they are put into an inventory. A Minecraft Novel explained it.
