    That Picasso head looks like a great one for the Ned rig. Aaron Martens was a bassin machine and anything he touched got improved. Thanks Matt for spotlighting it.

    I've been fishing EWG Ned rigs through vegetation quite a bit in place of a traditional Texas rig with great success

    I have a few, never used them for neds, but i can definitely see why the hook keeper style is preferable to the screwlock with shaky heads. I've gone the other way on the z'man longer shank ned hooks as good shaky head hooks. That picasso and the weight sizes for a ned with the keeper it should work well on a variety of plastics. Good use of that, will have to try it out. These kind of versatility hacks really help when you are space limited (i am here on my kayak) or budget limited, (i should be more careful, but cheat)

    Picasso has slowly been taking over my terminal and jig box. Started with their tungsten knocker vibrating jig and have slowly expanded. Now I’ll have another rig to try. So far I love the little spotty and the hog snatcher jigs you recommended.

    🍺Thanks Matt. I have been using the Picasso Ned even before they were one of your sponsors. Solid bait in my opinion. 🤠

    I have a ton of success with a traditional open style Ned head in moderate weed cover. I’ll definitely try this out now. It’s a great looking bait!

    Great video!! A few years back a friend of mine introduced this rig to me. I was using the ZMan’s TRD’s and they seemed to me they were the wrong style bait to use on that jig head. Watching this video seems like the “General “ and other baits that aren’t elaztech like ZMan would be the ticket. Will now give it another try. Stay safe & God Bless!! 🤠👍🏻

    Howdy MS, hope all is well. Man, this gets me so jazzed for my trip this week. Heading to Boulder Junction area for some camping and kayak fishing, always have a Ned tied on 😊. Making a run to BPS today. I'll see if they have a few of these jigs. Always sincerely appreciate the education. Cheers, JJ

    Great video Matt and I love weedless ned rigs. I have been using a mushroom EWG 1/0 and 2/0 hooks and picked up the Zman Nedlocks EWG and will be using soon once back from vaca. That Picasso head is awesome and would be great up here in Ontario too.

    Hey Matt! I'm currently fishing Lake Vermilion for the first time and am really struggling as there's a huge bug hatch that I think is affecting the bite. Do you have any tips to have more success here?

    Love the content. Had a local bait shop show early Icast releases and it looks like DoIt Molds is undercutting Core Tackles hover rig design. I'm not a fan of them doing that.

      not at all. i prefer a wire weedguard over the bristle style weedguard

    If you go extra small, it automatically becomes weedless.

    Tried these side by side with the Zman weedless ned head; Z man worked much better.

    • @MattStefanFishing

      In what way?

    • @ComeOnPelican91
      @ComeOnPelican91 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MattStefanFishing With the ZMan weedless ned heads, the fish would set the hook themselves. A bite meant the fish was hooked. Using the Picasso Rhino Neds, the hook would never penetrate no matter what I did after feeling a bite. If I had to guess, either the gap was too narrow due to the rhino design, or the titanium weedguards were too stiff.
      I've had good luck with the Picasso regular shaky heads and rhino shaky heads, just not the rhino ned jigs.
