- Yet again a battle between me and the Lotus 7. Had more power on the straights with similar braking but lacked the cornering speed compared to the Lotus 7 which was like a slingshot out the corners!
Was sucessfully blocking him where he had an advantage but with my tyres completely overheating is ended in a massive spin at the first corner.
Lived to fight another day.
An amazing year getting Class Champion and 3rd overall in the championship.

Well done, its been very enjoyable following you all season. That dice should be used as a 'how to race' piece for other clubs. Neat tidy respectful of each other and still hammer and tonges at it rather than just beating the doors off each other. Heres to next year.
Thanks! I’ve really enjoyed making the videos for everyone. Respectful racing is the only way to go in my opinion. I may not of won but having a great scrap with someone and then being able to share a beer with them afterwards is so much more rewarding 👍
Well done! Great result for the season and I'm glad to see you flying the flag for TVR. I also like the way you edited the composite shots so that the picture from the rear view camera (good addition!) appeared to be "pushed" by centrifugal force towards the outside of each corner. Good luck, and hopefully more power, for next year!

Lighting start ! But those Europa's and Elan's are quick on the straights . TVR sounds healthy and really looking planted in the corners , you need to come up with a plan to narrow the aforementioned lotuses advantage on the straight ! You catch them in the Twisties but from watching it could save your tyres a little if you didn't have to go so deep on the brakes maybe ? Easy for us armchair racers to comment I know , we ain't the ones sweating in the cockpit 😂. Think you need more mirrors for that 7 , man it was coming at you from every angle , great spectator racing . Been out of the loop with house move but Donnington and Oulton still localish so hopefully get out to see you next season 👍
Yeah the engines great and the balance is beautiful. I completely overcooked the fronts in the first couple of laps. I should of been a bit calmer. Now they are ruined I’ll switch to Yokohama next year if I can get hold of any. I’m currently using Toyo R888R. The elans have a touch more power but their main advantage is weight. I’m overweight though. After the race I was 776kg and I’m allowed 730kg so the biggest performance improvement will be loosing weight I think. 👍
@@Tomkitek so some gains losing weight will definitely help against those pesky Elan's 👍.. they are a neat competitive package though ,Diana Rigg drove one in the series the Avengers (before your time! ) Then Linda Thorson had the Europa a few episodes into series 6 .. now there's some Nerd statistics!!

They are a very good circuit car. A little fragile for my liking but when they work they are very quick
Only place I can loose it is the bonnet and doors. How much that will give me I don’t know 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah. Standard bore 1600cc 👍

@@Tomkitek Thanks again, I thought there was a v6 as well as the v8, but i thought it had a name like the others, but it was 50 years ago so i'll bow to your knowledge.
@@MrHarleyoldfart So in the 70s the did the Vixen and Tuscan, then the 3000m with the V6, and also a V8 version but very rare. A 3000m v6 won the race in this video 👍
