Super powered goddess class priestess (with bad luck and intelligence stats), an arch mage with an OP single use single type spell, and a peverse paladin that can't hit anything but loves to take damage and will charge towards any dangerous....
Kazuma's party: A goddess who got taken by force into this world. A wizard who forced herself into the party And a knight who wants to be taken by force.
Yes, D&D wise we have Kazuma the Rogue, Aqua the Cleric, Megumin the Wizard, and Darkness the Paladin. That's a great party, and they don't have any flaws...right? 😂 Looks good to me 😊 Also it is great that you guys are now pausing the video to have your discussions, this way you won't miss dialogue.
Ah so for ages it really depends on version for the anime and Light novel. Kazuma is 16, Megumin is 13/14, Darkness is 19 and Aqua is complicated but she claims to be around the same age as Kazuma due to her perception of time and how goddess age. As for the web novel, the "prototype" (best way to phrase it) they're all slightly older. So Kazuma is 20, Megumin is 17 and Darkness is 22. I think it was changed because while Kazuma is a shut-in, he's very outgoing to be a complete shut in so I think the creator wanted him nearer the start of being a shut in rather than 4 or 5 years deep into it. I also think the others being less old also helps sell their quirks betters.
Kazuma is more useful than just the "carry". Theres a part in the novels that was never animated where he trades teams with another guy cuz hes so jealous of Kazuma's team. Kazuma's new team treats him as the carry at first but soon realizes hes damn useful while the other guy goes thru hell dealing with Aqua, Megumin and Darkness.
A well balanced party could survive having one of theses characters, but the four of them together is a party dancing on the cliffs of disaster. Like watching a comedic tightrope performance with your heart in your throat every moment. In the LNs it is said that the thief started wearing an extra pair of shorts in case she runs into Kazuma again. Yep Kazuma stole the wings so it was easy to grab them.
I don't think it is really spoilers to say, "Just don't worry about the Demon King right now." In WoW terms, the group won't be leaving Goldshire for a long, long time.
Their dynamic is pure genius, you could have an episode of them watching paint dry and it would still be funny af if they stay true to their character. Kazuma being the straight man of the group most of the time is hilarious as he's pretty weird himself but compared to the rest of them he's a high functioning member of society
Honestly getting steal and lurk right off the bat kind of shows how smart Kazuma is about selecting skills. Like his only good stat is luck so steal is perfect and being sneaky just makes that better. Really if you think about it in DnD terms, he's kind of the skill monkey.
I wished they added the short story as an ova where Kazuma and Dust switch parties. It really highlights how despite Kazuma being arguably the weakest in the team - his smarts paired with his diversity in skills and relatively tame quirks(compared to the rest of his party) makes him the mvp. They all go out on an one-off adventure and while Dust with Kazuma's party returns in defeat and humiliated (as is the norm); Kazuma with Dust's party comes with great success.
Weirdly enough, Kazuma's eventual build is extremely suited to being carried; he'll pretty much never be able to "fight fairly" due to lacking all sorts of class intrinsics needed to make more straightforward combat abilities effective. However, as long as other people are doing most of the real work he can focus entirely on flaw exploitation... and in the meantime learn all the little things designed to make his personal life more comfortable. His luck is in fact doing serious duty here (most relevant to this topic, luck is the main reason he never runs into a real enemy who is actually prepared for him), but it's also having to overcome his continually accumulating more bad karma.
I was thinking about that! Idk if I want to try an episode of dub since I started in sub or leave that offscreen, but enough people mentioned that for me to be curious 🤣

Yeah I'm excited! We weren't able to do that before because my software wasn't working 😅 But I figured it out!!

You know when the team members are bad when the weakest of the team is the one doing most of the work
You'd be surprised how deathly their stupidity is
Most generals of the big bad would rather die than suffer being near impossibly stupid people
0:00 Perfect shot of cuteness.

Okay, I played ESO, but I still think I get the terminology 🤣
So looks like Daggerfall, Auridon or Stonefalls might be your equivalent.
This show is gold!
You two are so cute! ill be waiting for the Crimson Legend!

I'm glad you noticed how aqua wasted 5 skill points on nature's beauty
To be fair she auto maxed out as a priest, being a goddess.
@maxpower2430 I'm not sure but I think only her stats are maxed out, they never said anything about her skill points

this is the best girl in anime
The expression of the kitten in the beginning XD

Important question: who has the best outfit?
Hmm...so far I like Megumin's outfit the best, although Darkness got some drip too
love darkness, such a crazy girl followed by aqua for her comedy and idiocy. though wiz might be my personal favorite
Kazuma won’t steal Aqua’s panties. Can’t steal what isn’t there. 🤔
❤❤❤❤❤
More cat! Also pls react to Delicious in Dungeon
Even if you prefer sub, you should definitely check out some of Darkness's dubbed clips once you finish the season. Her English VA is even more WILD
I was thinking about that! Idk if I want to try an episode of dub since I started in sub or leave that offscreen, but enough people mentioned that for me to be curious 🤣
Darkness is a tank so the joke is she's a masochist Tank who like getting hit. lol It's actually smart joke of MMORPG.
Twins?
Nope, we're 8 years apart actually! 😅
Theres something wrong with her, no. Wait something is wrong with her, I knew it.
ah yes the best worst girls, which is why they're the best. absolute girl fails, lol
