We had a kumquat tree in our yard growing up. The more orange, the sweeter they are. Usually ones the sun hits. The sour ones are lighter. We didn't eat the seeds. These fruits are in our regular store. You are looking for trees for the yard. We had those, fig bushes, pecan trees, berry vines, wild onions, and mint growing up. Prickly pears were there but I was an adult before I knew it was edible.
Congratulations Kim!🎉 We are in the process of final touches in the yard for our pool build and the pool build itself started March 1st and Finished 7/11 due to many rain delays here in Georgia. We signed our contract at the end of September and it took them about 5 months for the permits to go through and HOA approval. Typically with good weather and no hiccups during the build process our builder finishes in 8 to 12 weeks. So just trying to give you an idea of timelines. Some builders go well over a year on just the build, but I know we have a few things in common or so it seems when it comes to picking the right crew for the job! As someone who grills a lot it's definitely going to be more chill and convenient for you! I have to constantly go back and forth in the house and you shouldn't have to do that as much. I'm not really a gas grill person but it looks sleek and will be efficient grilling have fun!
The star fruit...you need to get it ripe...when it's yellow....that's when it is sweet....we have them in the Caribbean....you should give it a second try but when it's ripe...the one you got was green

Lovely video. Inspired to remodel my backyard similar to yours. In Grenada (caribbean), there are two types of starfruit: tart and sweet. The tart is for juicing/pruning and the sweet one is for drinking.
Love the backyard plans and outdoor kitchen. Starfruit when yellow is sweeter. The green isn't ripe, but u can add salt and seasonings to the green ones and try it that way too.

Hi Kim, I love your floor plan of the backyard great oasis look and feel when it's completed👍🏽. As far as the fruits is concerned, the star fruit can be cooked or grilled I've seen that done on the food network incorporated in dishes you can probably look it up so you don't waste it lol. The other fruits that doesn't taste that great you can put it through a juicer and sweetend it or make a smoothie. Please find ways to utilize those exotic fruits. You definitely know how to research and pull your house together the way you want it. I'm so inspired and I wish you the best on all your endeavors. It looks great. I'm glad you persisted and had them remove the outlet. It definitely would've messed up the total look. I used to eat kumquats as a kid in Southern California. I think my neighbor had a tree. They also had a pomegranate tree. I've had all but the rambutan. it looks too weird to me.

Don't give up on the starfruit just yet. They weren't fully ripe. They're actually pretty good when completely ripe in which they turn a yellow almost orange color. They also make an amazing drink!

Only suggest hot tub be on the same side as fire pit. During winter people can be in hot tub or next to fire pit and still be together.
