Amazing video, I followed this and was able to replace a gungy seal on my Samsung machine. Couple tiny differences with the hoses that connected to the actual boot, but everything else was spot on with my model. Took about 90 mins. Hardest part was getting the new boot into the groove and clamping it down. Everything else was no big deal. Thanks!
Thanks! This was a great video. My washer must've been a slightly different model because it had electronic plugs behind the area where you open the door (and there was only two plastic pieces on the boot on mine), but other than that everything worked great after following these instructions.
Just finished replacing the door seal, this video was very helpful. Minor difference with my Samsung washer, my model did not have the screws on the bottom but rather two screws inside the drain door (found this out after removing the hardware to the pedestal)
Good tip I think I needed two of those out. Mine had screw holes on the bottom with no screws in them (2), which were accessible with the pedestal door open. No need to take the pedestal off I found out later lol...
I guess this is some kind of genetic replacement part in the video since for mine wf407anw/xaa I couldn't lift the front up and out, it has little nubs at the bottom that grab the front to prevent it from going "up", even with the screws removed. I think I had to pull a few screws from the filter area as well as underneath. Only thing that worked was to use a screwdriver to get it off the tabs at the top, then start to tilt it "out" towards the ground then eventually it popped free as it was lowered...
