I've never had a relationship. I'm a 25 year old university student, finishing my degree this December. Falling in love is a part of life I've wanted to experience for years. Five years I'd say. Waiting on God to lead me to the woman he has for me, and I'll be the best man I can be for her. I need to enjoy staying single until the time God says He's ready for me to start something new.

Girl, I feel ya-many times I’ve felt like something is wrong with me and I’m alone in that ( especially since I just turned 30 and I haven’t had a relationship either). It’s been a struggle-but God is good and will sustain us 💜 hang in there, sisters!
Yeah I’m 30 going on 31. I don’t think I’m ever getting married but it’s all good man. I suggest you stop trying to “be a man your perfect spouse would want.” That’s garbage. If you ever improve or better yourself it should be for very selfish reasons. Be really good to your friends. Always bring food or beer when they invite you over. Trust me being content being single will come soon with age and when that happens you’ll be glad you’re still single. You just need to tell your parents to stop pestering you about why you’re a disappointment to them.

I've never been called beautiful, and even though these guys have never met me and cannot see me, for some reason I feel as though they really mean it, and I believe them. I will never be beautiful in the eyes of the world, but for God, who accepts us the way we are, I am fine.
I am a child of God. Daughter of the King. I shouldn't be seeking validation from the world on how I look- the only One I need to look to is God who looks to the heart.
I think one of the first steps in becoming more sociable is to accept who you are and stop trying to be someone else... someone you will never and can never be.
I'm not sure exactly how to go about accepting my image, because every day I get more discouraged as the media shoves another model in your face. I don't think I've ever been myself around *anyone.* Not even my family... the only time I have been myself is with God, or on my own. Sounds ridiculous. But I really struggle with expressing myself.
I'm always trying to be someone better, trying to dress as others do, speak like others... I'm tired of wasting time. I need to show everyone who God wants me to be.

I love what the guy said about how you are valuable, highly valuable that God has invested so much in you that you should value yourself. I also love what James said about how some times we feel like we should be at a certain point by a certain age relationship wise. I have felt that so many times. I also love that guy at the end that said "If he wants breasts and thighs tell him to go to KFC and order a number 5". I might have to use that one.

I really appreciated this video. I feel like I’m only beginning to work on my self worth with the Lord and I feel He is so hard on me as are people. It’s always been that way.
I really appreciated hearing these things from men because I rarely receive this kind of behaviour from them. I deeply appreciated the Father that spoke, that gentleman that spoke about his own low esteem and the amazing man that rapped at the end! That made me cry!
Ty men if God for this. You don’t know how much this girl and so many need to hear this from their brothers in the Lord, when we often feel, we’re doing the heavy lifting and left on our own.

Thanks I randomly came across this listening to worship music, but wow God knew what I needed. Confirmed some things He's told me or showed me. I needed this reminder nursing a hurt rejected heart asking for his healing and help to let go. A man who saw me as a maybe one day if I don't find any one better option not the good and beautiful thing I am. I was a side dish while he was looking for the main course. Yes, everyone is awesome, except people do at times need to work on themselves and there is nothing wrong with some self reflection and constructive criticism, not just "everything about you is always awesome".
Thank you. I was looking for this comment. You can be a good woman and still have issues that you need to work on. You can also still be single because there are things that are hindering you from being a good date and eventually a good spouse.
Sure, thats true, however, And this is important: We actually get a lot further working on the things that “need work” when you start from a place of acceptance and love for yourself as you are.
I know this seems counterintuitive.
But think about a little baby who can’t walk yet and can’t do anything for themselves.
And now think about that baby’s parents. Do you think that baby with develop properly if the parent continually upbraided them and yelled at them “ugh! you stupid baby! you can’t even walk you can’t even change your diapers you’re so dumb! why can’t you get better?”
Or do you think that baby will develop better with loving parents who just delight in that baby as she is, encouraging the baby to grow by their nurturing love that says “you are enough for us now! We love you.”
We need to say that to ourselves and to others. We need to accept others now where they are, and especially to accept ourselves now where we are. Without condemnation, shame, yelling, blame, withholding love…
Because love is what causes us to grow, not berating and shame.

44 i hear you but looking back I see the reason's people of my past was not right. I also see why meeting someone young would have caused issues. Still single and dating. But let me explain.... the man i loved in my late teens is a cheat, the man in my 20's needed to be a dad he is awesome DAD. I didn't know it then but I shouldn't/can't have kid's he'd be devastated. I ended up to sick in my 30s to date. Better now and whomever I date now will have to accept all of me and be willing to deal with and love me sick.
The child in photo os my beloved niece. My heart and eyes still cry due to I'll probably never be a mom. Honestly that is what hurt's me most more than all my years single. I have have always loved any child in my life as my own... it helps the sadness of not being a mother. I still gave hope to be a wife.

*side note: One of the men in this video said something that was really similar to what my father once told me, which is that guys look for ladies that emulate/ are similar to their mother in the the love that they show the world. That is such an interesting thing and connection between people and generations.
