The only time we actually see him speak that isn't in a flashback is in _The Ancient Gods Part Two,_ right after he kills the Dark Lord. The Dark Lord asks if he has anything to say before killing him, and the Slayer replies simply "No" after stabbing him in the chest. Both the "huge guts" and "rip and tear" are references to the ridiculous and completely over-the-top _Doom_ comic, which I encourage any _Doom_ fan to read, as it's a hilarious wild ride. (EDIT: Fixed 'before' to 'after' on the Slayer's 'no' line)
"Rip and Tear" is the obvious thing to shout out here, but I got something else that fits too... DEMONS ON DECK! HELL TO REPEL! (Mantra of the Hullbuster Marines, Galaxy's Edge books)

I love how all this bloodshed of demons started with the death of his pet rabbit by demons.
Doom guy is if a writer thought "what if a gun had a soul, and it wanted to be a gun."
The lore also makes all of the mods for classic Doom canon as well.
In Halo Infinite's first campaign mission Chief tells someone something he wants to do requires a hack.
When the other person asks whether he can do that he just says NO and immediately smashes the terminal.
There was literally no reason for him to do that, but he did it anyway.
It felt like such a Doom Slayer moment :P
Master Chief is just Doom Guy with tech support.
@@ThePhengophobe Nah, I love Chief but the guy WISHES he could be Doomguy
Like, he already struggles with common enemies while Doomguy fuckin kills Tyrants like they're ants
@@tragedyplustime8271 In canon he's seen pretty much the same way, as an unstoppable demon. I'll grant he's not quite as unstoppable, but he's still an absolute beast. My comment was also part joke, they're not exactly the same level but still very comparable characters for the most part.
@@ThePhengophobe yeah they serve the same role, and do the same things, its just that master chief is basically the baby cousin of doom slayer, that one is just on a different magnitude. i mean fuck people literally pray to doomslayer in lore.
@@Otgel TBH, I can see Marines praying to Spartans in Halo, especially earlier on in the Covenant war.
They do seem abit apart, but they're still similar enough for me, even if MC is weaker in comparison. I had sortof forgotten Doom Slayer killed that titan think you find the skeleton of solo, Cheif would likely struggle with an analouge, though I think he'd still make it through.
A great thing I heard is that apparently they have killed him once. The issue is that dying just sent him even deeper into hell
They didn’t, he probably went deeper after he cleared out the current level
no hes never died he cant die no one has hurt him since he gor GODS powers not ever trying to erase him from existance works
The slayer wasn't satisfied with exterminating the demonic scourge in his world, so he hopped from dimension to dimension, annihilating the presence of demonic hold with furious hatred, no longer a man but a God incarnate
My favorite doom slayer theory is that the first imp you see that screams at you isn't screaming to intimate its basically yelling oh fuck my life it's you
Demons: "No way, dude! That guy in green killed you, too?! Seriously, he killed me before, as a Human, then I came back as a Demon... And he killed me again, dude. Like WTF?!"
Other Demon: "Well, at least we're safe here in Hell... OH SHI-"
Doom Guy: *kicks in gates of Hell, guns a'blazing*
Talks about doom demons and metal while sipping tea(most likely) in a pink hello kitty mug
The mug represents daisy 🤣
Karl Doomwood
So, you got his speaking lines in _Doom Eternal_ a bit wrong. His lines in the flashback are "Guts... Huge guts! Kill them... Must kill them all!" and then the iconic "Rip... and... Tear!" The only time we actually see him speak that isn't in a flashback is in _The Ancient Gods Part Two,_ right after he kills the Dark Lord.
Actually the "no" was after he stabbed Davoth.
@@mr.p215 You're right. It's been a few weeks since my last run, must have got it mixed up.
The comics and novels are bizarrely good
"Rip and Tear" is the obvious thing to shout out here, but I got something else that fits too...
DEMONS ON DECK! HELL TO REPEL!
(Mantra of the Hullbuster Marines, Galaxy's Edge books)
Favorite facet of his personality: when he picks up a new weapon he grins with malicious intent. he is like a kid in a candy store but it's a gun shop
the fact that Hell needed signs posted all over Kadingir Sanctum telling all who approach that what lies inside must never be released is awesome
"He hates demons so much he will never stop fighting"
Sounds like a curse from Satan to cull the ranks of hell
The bit where he grabs a keycard from around a scientist's neck without removing it, and gently leads him over to the lock on his office chair.
I'd say some of the interesting moments for doom imo was when he'd literally just slam a corpse at a door using the card key but in such a visceral way
Well he is above a king but he stopped being sentinel royalty after killing a hell priest on sentinel holy ground
You didn’t hear it from me but I’m pretty sure he could just bitch king Novik is he really wanted to
Dlc makes him royalty again though kinda or something with the torch of kings
@@TheCopyNinja733 doomslayer cant really bitch an already dead dude, but he has an respect for leaders it seems, since he listens to novik when he speaks
Also, when doomguy was found by the UAC before doom 2016, the entire temple was full of warnings in demon language basically saying “FOR THE LOVE OF FUCK DONT GO IN HERE DONT OPEN THE COFFIN IT TOOK US SO MUCH EFFORT TO GET HIM IN THERE DO NOT OPEN IT PLEASE”
Doom Guy's recklessness and absolute rampages could be due, in part, to the fact that he's fought these exact same demons before and beaten them
I knew this was going to be a good vid and I wasn't disappointed.
I was hoping they'd mention how Doom Slayer literally can't lose, he will always win no matter the odds
Glad to see another doom video on the channel. Great stuff as always
*Demons kill bunny*
Doom Slayer: You have chosen death.
''Pretty metal''
*sips from a hello kitty mug*
Comedy gold I say.
It turns out that the Doom Slayer is truly Earth’s Mightiest Hero
As a rabbit owner, I get the rage.
I feel like every time karl tries to guess if it's a weekend or a wednesday, the editor puts it on the other one to fuck with him lol
not sure if it's still true, but he is a celibate Catholic, meaning he's eligible to become Pope
Ohmygod Pope Doomslayer
Pope?
He is Jesus my dude. He is gun Jesus.
But he has a kid? Unless he adopted...
@@Powerman293 he never had one, the one they were talking about was the Betrayer's son
@@reggienullator No no, he had a family. Secret burned photo is hidden in the game. Wife and daughter, both kia.
Omg that "like a kid on Christmas morning" line got me good bro.
fun fact, doom slayer is qualified to be the pope, he's celibate catholic and in some way shape or form he has been baptized, he is a prime candidate to be head of the church
In Doom 3 you do see the Doom guy you just don't play at him and don't worry he survives throughout the whole events of Doom 3
This is one of my favorite channels! Keep on doin what y’all do best!!
Imagine the Doom soundtrack played by the Doof Warrior
The personification of the phrase "I'm not locked in here with you, YOU'RE LOCKED IN HERE WITH ME"!
You're Doom videos kick ass I f****** love it
🤣 “wake me up when Bethesda needs some good will”
Gold
Finally doom stuff
I love in doom eternal when DoomSlayer is about to fire the BFG 10k but the button has to be activated by Vega so he just spams the button until it works and FUCKING BLOWS A HOLE INTO THE SURFACE OF MARS
Thank you Karl, your choice of Beverage-Containment for this video is inspired.
Doom (2016) is phenomenal for how Doomslayer is so dismissive of Samuel Hayden's desires. Doomslayer just keeps breaking argent energy technology, making Samuel upset quite a few times.
Now I realized that Goblin Slayer is kinda like a Doomguy. He is so absorbed by killing goblins that he cannot even be normal anymore.
Speaking of Halo, I'm not familiar if it was confirmed at all, but I think Master Chief is based on Doom Slayer to some extent, and maybe the first Halo game might be a soft reboot of Doom. Just a theory of mine, might seem obvious, but I haven't heard it brought up anywhere. Just thought it was an interesting idea.
Demon: Why did I become a demon in the first place?
Against all evil hell can conjure, Against wickedness mankind can produce, we send onto them only you. Rip and Tear until it is done.
I love how Lucas' sword is the Master Sword in you two's thumbnail
"pretty metal" *sips from hello kitty cup*
This man KNOWS what's metal.
never forget that he does this all for his beloved rabbit, daisy
To top it all off, he doesn’t need to use guns, he just finds it fun. The berserk power up is just him being so mad that he puts away his guns
that, and id say the other reason why he uses guns is because it reminds him of when he was a marine, also they have lots of little buttons he finds fun. thats the whole reason he has a wrist blade too, it looks cool and also makes him better looking.
@@Otgel Exactly, you need to have fun while you mercilessly slaughter the armies of hell for eons!
My favorite part is:
Hayden: "you cant shoot a hole in to the surface of mars"
Slayer: *does exactly that with beautifully hilarious results*
It's a crime one more line was not mentioned in the video. In DLC to Eternal, facing his arch-nemesis and main antagonist of the series Doom Slayer is asked "Is there anything you wish to say to your creator before you strike him down?"
Doomguy first stabs him in the heart and only after that blatantly answers: "No".
A funny thing about that last statement is all modded games of doom are cannon as well, including H-DOOM where he bangs the demons.
4:15
"You cannot stop the procession."
...
"How 'bout I do anywaaaay?~"
Doom guy one of best wiki weekends 👍
"You can't shoot a hole through Mars."
Objective: Shoot a hole through Mars
2:13 vegeta tried that, then immediately got bitched by legendary super saiyan broly
I enjoy a good wiki Sunday :) its basically my Wednesday because of my work schedule
You and your love for DOOM is why I bought Eternal
The Demons who killed his rabbit must be dead but in that moment they probably feel it was a big mistake
UNF *THE DESTROYER they forgot that one.*
He's not trapped with demons in hell, demons are trapped in hell with HIM.
"You cannot just shoot a hole in the surface of Mars."
Objective: Shoot a hole in the surface of Mars.
Nah the best part about Doom 2016s opening with the coffin hes in is that is wasnt that they didnt know how to kill him. They literally tried everything, 99% sure he was unconscious and they still couldnt hurt the fucking mad man
My favorite doom meme is; the fact that he uses guns is actually a way of *nerfing* him 😂
