- I was in the metro and I saw one of the stops was called "Little India" in Singapore and I realized I must go and visit to find some delicious food. I decided to see how far I could stretch out $20 to give you an idea of what prices are like in Little India vs. what you saw the costs were like in my India series when I was visiting. It was a great time exploring this area.

most of the Indian People in Singapore are from Southern state of Tamil Nadu in India. Tamilnadu is most authentic state in India as it is least amount invaded/ruled by outsiders. if you visit there it will be culturally enriching. you will find lots of great architecture thousands of years old made by carving granite rocks.
The most "authentic" state? Based on your own criteria? WOW Really? China was invaded by so many invaders, that would make China not authentic to you, by your own logic and lets forget all the fact that "Mamak" food itself is Tamil Muslim (but no invasion), Got it.
@KINAN💞 are you offering sex services!!?? Shit!
True
Southern india saved Hinduism.
I plan to visit Tamil Nadu my next time in India! It looks like a beautiful place
@@worldnomac please try to visit north east also.
the biryani seller probably don't know "bahut achcha" or "dhanywaad" as he speaks Tamil not hindi. Tamil people in Singapore and Malaysia are living for 100's of years
Well...Mac! You definitely walking aimlessly in Little India! I wished I was there to guide you through creeks and cronies of that area! There's lots of hidden gems where you can find better and cheaper food and things!
We are heading there soon! What would you recommend? We will be 6 adults and 2 children!
@@rhiwilliams4482One thing for sure, Little India Singapore does not only comprises of that market/hawker center named Tekka Market! Former t is actually a big area . For food wise...along the main road, there are lots of eating places and also affordable things to buy. But a major shopping store named "Mustaffa Center" is a must to visit to shops, eats or just to majorly mingling with the Locals and foreign Indian peoples! Do reminder to avoid the weekends unless you love crowds and bumping around people! Best to Google first for better vision and understanding!.
Next time I will need you as a guide!
@@humanbeing8338 Mustafa Center is epic!! I stayed close by on my last trip there before Covid and spent lots of time and money😄 at Mustafa. You will find anything you might want there.
@@rhiwilliams4482 Tekka Mall as in this video. But there's more better and cheaper options stalls in the center. Azmi Restaurant at Norris Road very famous for its chapati (charcoaled Indian flat bread) and curry mutton. Mustafa Center a shopping center/hypermarket at affordable stuffs.
There are some Indian immigrants there, which should be one of the few countries where you can eat orthodox Indian food;
If you see a small packet of tissue paper on the table, it means that the seat is occupied, that is the culture of Singapore!
I see that shirt is perfect for you, looks comfortable and cool!

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate you keeping up with the videos since then! After Turkey we will be back in Lebanon with more content. Morocco is definitely on my list soon too. I went once when I was younger, but need to go back and make videos
I had to go to "little India" every weekend to have good Indian cuisine. Then move to Clarke Quay for some good music and fun.
Have good memories.
Thanks @Mac for this vlog. #awesome
Dude, U just speaks Hindi ( Northern dialect/ lang) to most likely A Tamil-speaking Southerner *!*
Fish Curry Briyani, by the way, tastes slightly sour AND... . . *better !* 😳🤤
This content is so cool . Having no preplan and just go along with the day .
When I was there, I missed the steps upon descending the concrete stairs. Fell down very hard, good Indian people assisted me to get up. They even offered to take me to the hospital. Luckily, I just suffered skin scratches. Beautiful, super clean Singapore
Happy advanced 300 k ...love ya brooo
You sort of wonder why Americans and some Europeans use their forks to scoop up rice in Asian dishes, whereas the locals will use the spoon (or their hands!). A spoon scoops up anything at all much better than a fork.
I kind of think it could be because at western tables the weapons you're given are usually a knife and a fork. And the fork would of course be better than the knife for rice-scooping, in the absence of a spoon.
Sounds reasonable to me.
Cutlery. It's cutlery you are trying to say. Other than that, westerns always eat with a fork and spoons are only for the soup. For western cutlery, the fork is the only thing you can put in your mouth. Obviously you don't put the knife in your mouth and the spoon is only for the soup and you should only sip from the edge of the spoon.
Welcome to Singapore! There’s loads more of places to see around & some other nearby islands here in Singapore! Hope you had a great short trip here & ‘twas fun! ✨☺️
GOOOD G triple O D🙏🏻❤ i remembered your style
Bro, our tap water is drinkable! When you finish your mineral water, you can refill your bottle with the water from any tap in Singapore.
That is incredible, I will definitely drink the tap the next time I am in Singapore
Where are you now
Ah, u should have toured the Singapore Airport. There's the newly build Changi Airport Jewel, which houses a gigantic indoor waterfall as well.
Consistent with the content ! I’m lovin’ it🥵💯🔥
Do you have any plans to come India again we are waiting for you ❤🇮🇳
Hopefully towards the end of this year otherwise definitely for at least a month in 2023
@@worldnomac do visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands if you visit India again.

You should have turned left at 14:19 and walked down that street where you will see a part of Singapore's history in a very colorful heritage building that used to be a sweet factory. If you walked down Serangoon Road, you'll find another national monuments in the Sri Srinivasa Temple. At the end of that road is the well known Mustaffa Centre where you can find almost everything cheaply under one roof.
Oh wow, next time I am back I will make sure to visit there!
He got stuck in the neighborhood complex and didn’t make it to the Little India streets 😅😅😅
Next time when you come to India do include "Maharashtra" ..... There are alot of ancient forts, beautiful treks... You will love it... ❤

Pretty interesting to see the comparison since you were in India just prior to this
Right! That is exactly why I wanted to stop by
Looks like a vibe out there! Might have to check Singapore out soon!
Congrats on 300K subs.
I normally do a walk-around to check out all the stalls before deciding on which one to try. Can't believe you settled on the first stall you encountered! Haha
Been enjoying binge watching all your videos especially om Singapore
Great videos! Btw. You should try eating rice the Singaporean / Southeast Asian way… with the spoon. You will find it’s so much easier and practical… 👍🏼👍🏼😄
well i mean he's eating indian food so might as well eat it the indian way
Mac that was a nice trip back to India, that Biriyani certainly was looking delicious, thanks for the video Man👌👌👌👍👍👍

I miss your Indian sidekick!, Rahul 😊
I thought that you would be going for dosas, as you can get really awesome South Indian food in Singapore. (City of Lions)
They should have given you something to wrap your biryani in besides that leaf. Not sure if you could have eaten that leaf! 😊
Have fun in Singapore! You should also try Cambodia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Most of Southeast Asia, as far as the Philippines was once a part of the greater Indian civilization and you should notice all the similarities 😊. Or summer is a very good time to try the Himalayas of Nepal, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Bhutan, Sikkim, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir 😊
BTW, 300k subscribers, congratulations!

You should be wearing a mask when you are inside the markets & hawker centres.
WELCOME to(little) 🇮🇳.... Enjoy, Mac bro, the INDIAN atmos
Oh hey Mac! I'm 4 weeks late but maybe when you do come back to Singapore, you may want to check out Mustafa Center, near Farrer Park Station. I personally call it a massive mama shop. They have everything, literally every single thing you need, all in 2 buildings. There are some legendary Indian food around that area too.
Love you brother from india and if you vist india next time you can go in Himalayas and in north east.
There are hand washing basin in every hawker/food centre in Singapore and toilet facility too, just ask any local if you're not sure where they are.
Good choice to select hawker centre than malls’ food court. The price is slightly cheaper
You should go to mustafa, the biggest/ shopping centre in Little India where u can find many indian textiles and groceries at more inexpensive prices
There is a beautiful South Indian style Hindu temple in Chinatown if you are still feeling homesick for India, also nearby there is another hawker center with more Chinese and Malay food. I have visited SG twice and miss it so much.
Awesome video 🔥🔥👍❤️
Peace be upon you brother with love 💜🇵🇰🤎 enjoy Singapore
Love you mac from india ❤️🇮🇳
That shirt is a good buy. Linen is more hot weather appropriate than cotton or polyester
Love your videos ❤️❤️❤️❤️
He just came to a random shopping center in Singapore! No planning no comparison no northing!
Mac is sucha sweet guy.
Another thing Mac...places like Little India, Chinatown where tourist usually seen, prices can be a bit higher and shop goods prices are fixed!
Welcome to Singapore!
Pls we need more Singapore vids
The Coleslaw looking thing is probably - Raita ...Its made from yogurt ..spices and things like tomotos and cucumber - The mass produced Biriyans u have been eating from takeways n restaurants is NOTHING compared to propa HOME made Biriyani ....If u ever get a chance to be invited to a Pakistani home for dinner u will see the difference in taste and quality ( Most restaurants want to maximise on profits so dont often use the best ingredients )
i"m curious on why would western people prefer to use fork instead of a spoon to eat rice... he's not the only one that I have noticed doing it though. Not that it is something wrong, but is there a specific reason behind it?
may be I can explain, western food mostly based on steaks grilled meats and knife and fork is use so foreigners try to use forks for rice instead using Forks to support Spoon to fill Rice and eat.
I'll try it; with a spoon we eat mainly soups, which is before the main course and the main course, the meat is mostly boneless, so we use knife and fork, as a side dish are more often cooked potatoes, french fries, dumplings - can prick a piece; but rice, we don't eat that often ... (even though, I love basmati rice😋)
@@MP61PR your name shows you are from central Europe if you find any Pakistani or Indian restaurant in your city Try Rice Dish "Biryani" which Mac had in Singapore.
There's another stretch of Little India that u missed. It's more exciting with more food and shops on the other side. It's the main 'Little India'. U would need to alight at Farrer Park station .
Just amazing 👏 😍 🙌 ❤
Chalo Chalein to 🇮🇳!👍
You missed to visit Mustapha and Komala Villa for Ildi and Chapati at Norris Road.

@World Nomac you need to try the Kaya buns and Paratha with Kaya or Kaya toast for breakfast - Kaya is a traditional egg jam made from a mixture of coconut and eggs.
Yes Singapore
Food slips bcos u scoop with a fork.... cos fork is made for stabbin and spoon is for scooping aye.
it reminds me of deira in dubai.

I have not seen you in Morocco yet. If you made videos in Morocco will you show them to us. Thanks
When you go to places like India , Pakistan , Indonesia and Egypt , you will never feel lonely when you walk down the streets as a tourist because people look at you and often want to talk to you
I get a completely different impression when I go to South Korea , Thailand and Singapore , in those countries I feel invisible because no one in the street looks at me or wants to talk to strangers , the reason I am mentioning this is that the cultures in different Asia countries are completely different and my comment is not meant to sound negative in any way to any country .
When I went to Little India in Singapore , it was completely different there compared with India , In Little India in Singapore , there are lots of Indian people living there , in all the time I was there , not one person looked at me and when I went to the markets and shops there , not one person looked at me or spoke to me about trying to sell me anything , the same with the food market in this video that I also visited .
I spend a few weeks in South Korea , in the whole time , I was in South Korea , not one person looked at me in the street or spoke to me in any of the shops unless I first spoke to them first .Every time I have arrived in India as a tourist , I feel the huge amount of attention and communication I receive when I walk down the street , i have often wonder why the difference in the cultures between the different countries of Asia .
I have blonde hair , blue eyes and very fair skin , I don't know if that is the reason why people stare at me in some countries and not in other countries .
I am an Indian living in a western country and I've noticed the same thing.
I am far more likely to start a conversation with a stranger than most people are, as most European/western people keep to themselves.
But there are variations in Western countries as well, and even within the same country. In the larger coastal North American cities, people think there's something wrong with you if you try and strike up a conversation with a stranger whereas in the smaller Western North American cities people are more likely to talk to strangers.
Most Singaporeans travel quite a bit for vacation and work. So it is commonplace to come across folks from any part of the world.
Singaporeans like to mind their own business unless of course, you needed help with something. Like most Asians, we are pretty much reserved in general. Also, it’s a common sight to see someone with blonde coloured hair here so it’s no surprise that people dont stare at you or dont strike up a convo since it’s not our culture.
It has to be with the culture. Indian Subcontinent is more open with Foreigner Tourists mainly Europeans because they don't see them traveling there too often and they want to make money out of them.
While Singapore,South Korea are already pretty much globalized connected with the First World and are World centres of Trade,Business and Tourism. Its kind of normal for them, people from different parts of the world visiting.
Also Yes there is a bit of Obsession with White skin in Indian Subcontinent mainly because the Mass Media influence. They are oftentimes reminded that they are brown skinned and therefore don't look good. This leads to Companies taking advantage by selling their products like bleach and so called fairness cosmatics.
While India has people from every skin tone and facial features. Some parts of the country there still exists a notion of White Skin being associated with Beauty which is obviously not true.
@@Anmol.singh.10 actually that may be part of it thanks to European influences (pirates & Marauders, colonists etc.) which cut off India's thousands of years of trade, education, student and information exchange with countries as far as East Asia, Africa and Europe... But also please consider that India also has a multi-thousand-year-old tradition of welcoming traders and guests as well, as India was globalized thousands of years before many other cultures..
4:52 It's funny that he talked to him in hindi without knowing he is a tamilian 😂

The Indian language of Tamil is one of the official languages of Singapore.
