I purchased some Paulson Top Hat and cane back in 1986 or so. I had one side hot stamped with denominations and the other side with my initials. It seemed that back then there was some policy that you could not have denominations on both sides. Obviously not the case anymore. If I had known then what I know now, I would have purchases many more of them than I did. Jim
I used an ultrasonic cleaner (like the ones you clean jewelery with) and a little bit of mineral oil to finish them. The ultrasonic is a magical machine for chips!
Absolutely do not understand the fetish with Paulson poker chips! They will never be on a consumer level market because only a very small percentage of people are stupid enough to invest that much money into a poker chip and Paulson knows this; that's why they don't mess with the consumer market. They make their chips based on security purposes. Why the heck would you need to worry about security when you store your poker chips in your closet and boast about have Paulson chips? A real gambler could not care less what chip he has. This is based on half-a@s poker players wanting a product that is used in a casino.
2 years late but a good thing about them is unlike other chips they are not easily accessible. that means, someone can't turn up to your game with their own chips that are exactly the same, bring them in their pocket and sneak it into play. i own paulsons because i like the chip quality. i didn't think i would ever spend a lot on chips but once i felt paulsons i never went back
What Luke said. Two years ago all I wanted was a cheap set of decent looking poker chips. I didn't even want to spend 35 cents each for Claysmith Milanos. But once you handle real clay casino chips, the difference is blatantly obvious. Paulsons are an investment, and honestly, what you spend on them, you will likely always be able to get most, if not all your investment back if you decide you don't want them anymore. There is a very active market on pokerchipforum.com where virtually anything can be bought and sold. Plus it's a fantastic and extremely helpful community.

What is your preferred method of cleaning Paulsons? (I have an older Starburst set.)
