This is a LONG one, about the most important thing when deciding to purchase poker chips - SAMPLES! It's all of my favorite sample sets, up close and personal!
I've ordered a ton of samples and realize some chips just look different when they're in my hands. The color is different, the numbers may be harder to read than I was expecting or the graphic isn't as interesting as I thought. Don't be surprised, order samples.
hey Chris my name is sullivan and i just started a youtube channel and only have two real chips and am looking to expand but i only have a little money what should i do
Unfortunately high end chips are not a cheap hobby! Fortunately there are still lower cost options. If you are looking for a great line of much less expensive chips, check out ApachePokerChips.com, they have several budget chip lines that run .15¢ a chip. Click on the topic "Poker Chips" and you'll go to a page that has "Monte Carlo", "Casino Royale" "Showdown" "Monaco" and other cheaper sets. These are slugged plastic, but they look pretty great and they handle just fine. I would still highly recommend getting samples of any set you intend to purchase. Good luck!
A “snapper” is a poker chip worth $2.50, quite often pink in color. Not sure the origin of the term. A “frac” refers to any cash poker chip worth a fractional amount less than $1, typically a 25¢ or 50¢ chip.
Christopher M. Is there a traditional color for fracs in the gaming industry? Trying to develop a custom set, we’ll definitely use .25s and maybe even some nickels, of course for the nickels I’ll just go with a color that appeals to me, hard to imagine any casino has used a nickel in decades
@@samschoenberg1044 The two most common colors I've seen in casino fracs are hot pink and brown - but I've also seen blue (Indiana Horseshoe) and yellow. I think the primary concern as far as choosing a frac color for your own home game is to make sure it plays nicely with your $1 and $5 chips.

Wish I did a sample set of the casino royales instead of just shotgunning 1100 of them
Was really hoping you were going to 'get into it' on the history of the custom Paulson orders :) Awesome sample sets and great video!
Good luck with that. There’s only a few people who know the whole story and they aren’t talking yet
the JACK logo on those chips for the Detroit casino that didn’t open look like the JACK casino that did open in Cleveland.
I like in the uk so samples isn’t much of an option. Shipping makes a sample set $100+. No one really stocks decent chips in Europe.
are there any good european sets or something or is the us the only option?
What do you consider a full set? 100 chips?

No, no, go on!
Where did you buy the Sun-fly samples?
I honestly can't remember when it was, but I'm sure it was a group buy on PokerChipForum.com

@@samschoenberg1044 Sorry I didn't see your follow up question until just now, I will always try to answer if I can!
I’ve been curious what pron means. Is it just a take on porn, or does it stand for something?
