  • Walter Ray Williams Jr practice session for the Senior (50 +) Masters at Sam's Town in Las Vegas Nevada on June 3, 2024. The pattern for this tournament was 41'. I used the Brunswick Attitude Control, the Hammer Arctic Vibe and the Hammer Black Widow 2.0 (2 handed). www.WalterRay.com, #PBA50, #professionalbowling, #BrunswickBowling, #CompassSportswear, #ViseGrips

Have you tried the Effect. Might be a good option after some burn but you know your game better than anyone.

Seems like a peculiar question. If the symmetric Arctic Vibe is too aggressive for the pattern, the asymmetric Effect is far more too aggressive for the pattern. The Attitude Control he's using is a retired pearlized urethane ball. And it seems too aggressive for this pattern. I know the descriptions says 41' oil pattern but 41' of what? One unit?

@@lockedonlaw it looked like it was too aggressive because he has to start it more towards the channel in which there doesn't seem to be a lot of oil. My understanding is the Effect is probably a few more boards more aggressive and might allow to move a little more left and go find some oil and create more angle as it breaks further down lane. But hey just asking....

@@EKCHome I understand and I'm curious as well. This is the first time I've seen Walter Ray break out a retired ball since I started watching these. I could speculate that the lanes were bone dry because practice started so late and the lanes were not reconditioned but that's not evident from the amount of back end reaction. I think it's just considerably less oil in the middle than some of the other patterns we've seen recently. But I'm also guessing.
