Honestly thinking about it now the picture of geto pushing the cursed energy sphere uphill like the greek tale of sisyphus fits so well. Similar to how the boulder would roll downhill every time in the tale getos constant absorbing of curses would never end and he constantly has to do so every day putting in effort only for that effort to be diminished and returned to point zero for every mission basically in a trapped cycle, an endless marathon as you could say.
