Haven't watched the video yet but when gojo (yuta) got revived,it was on the same day as when Budha was born. The god from which gojos character was inspired
This is exactly the main reason why Yuta has always been my favorite character, this chapter capitalizes her character perfectly, his love for his friends and even the world is unmatched and it shows, him being the first MC has always been showing, also imo he has the best written back story in jjk too, rather he dies or not he will always be my favorite character
I really appreciated how this chapter emphasized the connection between Yuta and Maki. She's the one that taught him how to use a sword and was one of his first jujutsu high friends so it makes sense after losing her sister she would want to protect her little brother figure.
dude, super good video. First I've watched on your channel. This series has gotten so complicated and your videos really help digest wtf just happened. Keep up the good work!
I think the reason why Yuuji will be the one to prove Sukuna's beliefs wrong, will end up being Todo. Between Sukuna believing one must sacrifice everything for strength, there's Todo, a guy who just lives his genuine self to the maximum and just faces everything like "It is what it is"
@@gdmathguy The way Yuuji was raging thinking about Choso reminded me a lot about when he thought about Junpei and Mahito during his fight against Hanami, right before Todo slapped him. I think Todo's speech from back then "Anger is a powerful source for sorcerer but can also cloud your judgment" is the perfect approach to further the thematic conflicts going on between Yuuji and Sukuna right now.
well i dont agree fully sukuna just does what he wants same as todo but his whole life revolves around jujustu plus todo is weak compared to sukuna he has a good mindset but not the drive to be strong

Fun fact, if you have the hardcopy of JJK volume 16, that’s the chapter where they introduced YUTA . And at the end of the hardcopy volume, you will see a picture of Sukuna and gojo. Very eerie.
@@doombros9770 it’s like a final form sukuna ester egg pic at the end of the hard copy volume16 . Get yourself the book and look yourself. If I could post a pic I would.
Really well done I think your narrative approach cements the relationship between Yuta and Gojo, there are many many details you covered well that give basis to their relationship and development and the decision for Yuta to be a monster. In my opinion, in many ways, I think even if Yuta wins here I would not be disappointed - I always viewed Yuta as the strongest (behind gojo) and we got a whole prequel about him.
I really appreciate your kind words, thank you so much for watching! ❤️ While I still do prefer Yuji getting the last blow, I definitely wouldn’t mind Yuta doing some heavy damage and coming out alive. I mean…. I want him alive! Cheers for Yuta VS Sukuna Round 2 🙌🔥
@@UnifiedEntityJust shows that it should have been Yuta as the main character or at least share co main character with Yuji. Megumi reached his character peak with sukuna taking his body it seems. And from what we got from him he never had the drive/winning mentality, he wasn’t selfish enough as Gojo said. All that potential but unlike Yuji he didn’t have enough will power
@@joeycash9739 No, that would just show that it was bad writing is what I'm going with. Yuta hasn't been in the series for more than 50%, for you to say he should be the main character. As opposed to Yuji we literally see him enter this world of sorcery day one and start from scratch in many different scenarios with the progenitors who propagate the problems of the Jjk world that being Kenjaku and Sukuna.
Since the name of Kenjaku’s technique is never revealed. It would be fun that in the end the technique actually is Kenjaku, and when using it it allows Him (kenjaku) to take the body of someone else. Meaning that at the end of the 5min kenjaku will resurface, in gojo’s body. 😂😂😂😂 this would be mental
Genuily thought you were going to bring up Gege's unanswered question about the soul. Geto choked Kenjaku in Shibuya, think Gojo might make some form of appearance in all of this. Another clue is that scene were Gojo is telling Yuta to improve on his cursed energy control. I am not really sure, have not thought this one through, but there is something ridiculously off about this unanswered question, especially when we already saw Mahito and Kenny speak about how their techniques might interpret the soul differently. But we will see. WHAT IS THE BODY AND WHAT IS THE SOUL?
Please don’t take my answer as definitive. I could be wrong. But Gege said before that Geto’s reaction in Kenjaku was nothing more than the body reacting to the soul’s information. Similar to how a bug could still flinch when it’s killed. Basically, when we saw Geto’s hand choke Kenjaku, it wasn’t actually Geto doing that. It’s his soul’s information (what’s left of it) responding to the situation. It’s a bit hard to explain, though again…. I could be wrong so please don’t take my word for it. Maybe this will come back soon?!
@@FakeWeeb I am talking about instory, the question is not answered within the story at all, see you are quoting staff outside of it. A bug flinches, it does not coordinate the movement of its legs to the neck and try to end its own life. That was a deep, well thought out action by the body (I guess), but still the question is answered bro, at all. Mean isn't Geto's soul information Geto? See the question is till unanswered, do not know why Gege would ask a question like that, give so many people soul manipulating powers and we still do not know what the soul is cause it looks like different techniques interpret it differently. M ean Yuji is busy punching someone's body and spliting souls by doing so.
I just realised the parallels between naruto and jjk are crazy. Naruto Jiraiya Pain and Yuta Gojo Megumi. Even the panel where we see meguna using furnace in his domain looks similar to almighty push
I'm curious about what happens if Yuta lives. If I remember correctly, Kenjaku in Geto's body had access to Geto's technique, Kaori's technique, and his own technique. So, wouldn't that mean that on top of Gojo's technique, Yuta still probably has other techniques, namely Kenjaku's technique? And if so, what's stopping him from hopping back into his body after the fight ends? After Shoko stitches his body, the same way she stitched Gojo's body? I hope I'm making sense
My only real grievance with this is Sukuna’s ability to still pop open a Domain Expansion. I know that his cursed energy reserves are now down to roughly where Yuta’s are now, and as long as he continues to use RCT to recover his cursed technique he can continue to open his domain. I’m just a bit upset with how after everything he’s only roughly down to less than half of his cursed energy. Since Yuta stated that Sukuna has at least double the amount of base cursed energy than Yuta has or more without Rika if I recall correctly. Which kinda feels pointless to have all these different fleshed out characters die off for practically nothing. But I’m aware that the main characters can’t always win, and they can’t have a win without it having it hard fought. And the symbolic messaging with how Geto and Gojo’s body were used is a good contrast, and it’s great symbolism. After seeing all the leaks at first I was pretty disappointed that this is the turn Gege made. But yet again I do like the fact Gege’s not taking the stereotypical route that a lot of basic Shonen take like “The Power of teamwork/friendship” or an ass pull for the hero’s. If not anything Sukuna’s been getting the better circumstances for victory. But I also feel like I need to thank Gege with how he wrote this battle currently. It feels desperate, even after Todo showed up. Especially with the fact that no-one else really can show up to support. The main cast is doing anything they can to win. And the idea of Yuta taking over Gojo’s body is already been hinted at even before it happened. It’s been growing on me. And yet I still can’t get past (in my opinion) a glaring problem with how the fights been done and been playing out. I only hope that Sukuna can finally get his reckoning after all this time. Especially since Yuta knows all of Gojo’s abilities, thanks to how Kenjacku’s cursed technique works. And Yuta’s background knowledge.
The only complaint I have for this fight with Sukuna is why 8 black flashes had little effect. Are black flashes even powerful? and why jacob ladder didn't work. Why is Sukuna such a tank. This is like the freaking 78th health bar.
the 4 black flashes from sukuna regained his output and the 8 black flashes again injured him reducing his ce output and not allowing him to use rct and while fighting yuta sukuna was not heavily damaged so he was able to survive jacob ladder
you can get yuta his screen time without... totally forgetting yuji exists, just letting him twiddle his thumbs the ONLY justification for this is sukuna trying to train yuji by beating his ass until he awakens
I do actually think the best route for JJK is the villain to win, or sukuna learning the meaning of love and (as you mentioned in the spoiler coverage) the meaning of collective strength. Or him not learning from his heien era mistakes (which may or may not be his understanding of true strength).
This is how your write a story, subvert expectation, no fan service for the sake of it, actually keep us on our toes. Every week I'm like where is this story going. I bloody love Gojo and was gutted when he died but not only did it make sense for the story, as much as i selfishly wanting it, I thought him coming back would have been terrible for the story. But this twist, perfection, cause Yuta's character development, sublime. The fact that gojo spoke so highly of him to kenjaku who didn't buy it, bit nah Yuta is him. MHA writer take note, this is how I'd have loved MIRIO to have been writen.
I gotta kinda disagree subverting expectations and keeping readers on their toes is good but it feels like that’s all gege tries to do at times, I know people hate tropes nowadays but their tropes for a reason, it’s cause they work, there’s nothing wrong with being a bit predictable at times cause subverting expectations just for the sake of it doesn’t work all too well.
Ive been telling people the same thing about how “easily” sukuna punched away yuji. Youre the only content creator ive seen thats explained it that way.. the correct way. Beautiful work. This video is a masterpiece just like that chapter
The answer has to be that kenjakus technique is single activation, because after domain expansion he should be under CT burnout and therefore unable to maintain possession. Yuta should be able to use Gojos body indefinitely. If the technique is “intermittently” activated and that’s why kenjaku can use domains, but this rule will kill Yuta eventually, I’d be pretty dissatisfied since it would seem like Gege just made up a reason for Yuta to die
It’d be cool if the last step of reviving gojo again is this. Yuta occupying Gojos body and use RCT on maximum levels and then Gojo taking back his body like Toji.
Yeah I believe it's a single activate type as well. We saw Kenjaku use Domain Expansion against Yuki, and afterward he had technique burnout for a bit yet that didn't cancel his innate technique.
I'm just pissed at the fact that Sukuna can just take unlimited amounts of soul punches and black flashes and can always just pull out a binding vow. Soon he'll bring back mahoraga, who died, which you aren't supposed to be able to, with a binding vow. Or he'll use a world slash without the seal, with another binding vow.
personally i find it very validating to yuji that sukuna decided to use his domain against him 1 v 1 like he wasnt switching anymore with todo he was just stood there tearing into sukuna and the best thing sukuna could come up with was "i need to end this now and use my domain on him" he's actually treating yuji as a threat and that shouldnt be overlooked
Bruv I got so excited when the spoilers came out, this is the biggest plot twist in JJK since I've started watching your channel after the Shibuya incident😂
Since you've already done a re-read a video on what're your fav individual chapters in the series would be greatly appreciated (*obviously when you've spare time for it)
this chapter helped me broaden my perspective on change, dont fear it dont let it limit you,cuz its all filled with mystery and relative memories of your past when there is so much more to experience if we live our lives trusting self and loving all and remaining ready for what brings greatness to self and others around you
I've forgotten where I saw it but I think the threads in Kenjaku's head are invisible to the other characters and Gege only put it there so that the readers know that Geto and Kenny are two different people.
Bro the stitches on his head are visible to every one it was mentioned in the anime and even this says the stitches have to be visible as part of binding vow
Well done on the breakdown/analysis! Such a tragic bitter-sweet ending to "the strongest"-I guess Satoru is really gone, huh...? 😢 I can also see how Gege originally planned Yuta to be the MC-and to see that original MC (Yuta) came to this arc... wow...
Nice! Your simple explanation of Yuji being momentarily distracted by seeing Gojo and being in a very emotional mind state really helped that part sit a lot easier with me. THANKS!

From what ive seen Sukuna,Kenjaku and Tengen do whatever they want to reach their goal and live the way they want to no wonder hated Tengen . God bless you and have a nice day
13:57 i stopped the video so don't know if you mentioned it but, Yuta's Unlimited Void will be a little harder to withstand for Sukuna because if Yuta can target a specifit person with sure hit effect Yuji and Todo can fight at the same time
My question is what possibility is there of a half Gojo return? Toji and Geto both demonstrated the ability of the body to maintain some residual or complete manifestation of the soul. Kenjaku has always suppressed the host, but Yuta and Gojo have a connection, will Gojo somehow help once again, from the dead? A further perversion by not allowing him to reset?
In the panel that Gojo remember Geto, it has the blurry line says: ''It's possible for you, right? Satoru'', refer this those words became the scar cannot heal in Gojo, and this is the time that he need to be a monster to fulfill his purpose like Geto.
Imagine if Sukuna has enough points in the culling games after his fight with Yuta to make a new rule in the culling game that would make him unstoppable.
I see it as gojo finally being supported in a way because he’ll be using the body alongside yuji and todo even though he isn’t there mentally In a way even though he’s embracing the monster role it goes against the loneliness aspect that gojo , yuta and yuji were familiar with because of the circumstances
From this video essay, i would think that Yuta's fate got sealed onto Gojo's body, to the point that he'll survived this and carrying burden as a "monster" and haunted by guilt for using his own teacher's body, forever.
Now that I think about it for 5 minutes isn't Yuta just absurdly strong now, i.e has 2 domains he could use and two techniques he could use (obviously only while Rika is up). But this has also made me believe it'd be weirder if Yuta did die after the 5 minutes were up since it makes soooo much sense for Kenjaku's brain technique to be a single activation technique.

Remember when Gojo was sealed by Kenjaku and he said to Geeto's body: "Come on, I know you're in there Geto. And Mahito also said that the body is the soul and the soul is the body. What if Juta meets Gojo's soul as a result? What happens then?

I've never enjoyed Yuta tbh. But that plotwist was amazing. I only once needed to stop reading manga for some minutes and it happened twice in JJK. At first ai thought kenjaku came back, huh boy. I really enjoy that emotional rollercoaster Gege gives me
Yuta should get the finishing blow , he deserves it

One of the best chapter review I've ever seen.
Crazy how yuta wouldn't have to do all that if bumgumi just accepted yuji's hand. Potential man really showing his potential
This was masterful explained I love this breakdown
I think the reason why Yuuji will be the one to prove Sukuna's beliefs wrong, will end up being Todo.
Between Sukuna believing one must sacrifice everything for strength, there's Todo, a guy who just lives his genuine self to the maximum and just faces everything like "It is what it is"
true

The real question is when yuta goes back into his body will the kenjaku brain be kenjaku coming back to life In gojo’s body or will it be gojo who takes back over his body
Ppl are so quick to hate the new chapters, they dont even give themself the time to let everything sink in
This was a phenomenal. You should do more chapters like this. One of the best chapters and reviews and takes a lot of thinking out of it. Gege knows what he's doing (almost always). Thanks for all your hard work and time on our favorite manga, with our favorite people. ❤

When Maki attacked Sukana after Yuta's domain was broken, she mentioned Yuta returning. A little Gege foreshadowing
Fun fact, if you have the hardcopy of JJK volume 16, that’s the chapter where they introduced YUTA . And at the end of the hardcopy volume, you will see a picture of Sukuna and gojo. Very eerie.

I’m still on the fence about this chapter. I wanted so much more for Gojo. Gotta see where this goes before I make my full assessment.
I didnt like it at first but then I reread it and I now love it - PEAK
Isn't it an asspull that sukuna is now able to open his domain as many times as he wants as said in 260
This chapter was truly spectacular. Gege straight cooking ❤
While I still do prefer Yuji getting the last blow, I definitely wouldn’t mind Yuta doing some heavy damage and coming out alive. I mean…. I want him alive! Cheers for Yuta VS Sukuna Round 2 🙌🔥
@@FakeWeebwe definitely want him alive when the merger is finally released
If Yuta wins, we wasted a lot and I mean a lot of time with Yujis journey as a character and what Sukuna put him through.
I think it would be cool to see Yuta struggle and not perform as well as Gojo did showing that Gojo truly was the strongest because he was himself
When I first saw the leaks I was devastated, but now I feel like it's an amazing plot twist tbh
This chapter made me rethink the way i look at art lmao.
This really brought back memories of Attack on Titan
@@FakeWeeb nah your right Gojo fans are just coping (including me)

Mean isn't Geto's soul information Geto?
See the question is till unanswered, do not know why Gege would ask a question like that, give so many people soul manipulating powers and we still do not know what the soul is cause it looks like different techniques interpret it differently. M

The goat is backkkk!!
I subscribe for this very moment
The only complaint I have for this fight with Sukuna is why 8 black flashes had little effect. Are black flashes even powerful? and why jacob ladder didn't work. Why is Sukuna such a tank. This is like the freaking 78th health bar.
Sukuna is the strongest for a reason
the 4 black flashes from sukuna regained his output and the 8 black flashes again injured him reducing his ce output and not allowing him to use rct and while fighting yuta sukuna was not heavily damaged so he was able to survive jacob ladder
well sukuna used a couple black flashes too which did heal him a decent amount
@@SuneethaL-j2y

Love to hear you can appreciate how great this chapter too
If you said this was a masterpiece, then you need a new brain (working one)
you can get yuta his screen time without... totally forgetting yuji exists, just letting him twiddle his thumbs
the ONLY justification for this is sukuna trying to train yuji by beating his ass until he awakens
When the spoilers came out. I was upset that Gojo is dead but I can’t deny that the chapter just made perfect sense and was amazing writing 👏🏻😔
Yooo my Mans weeb getting more Bass in his Voice!!

Or he'll use a world slash without the seal, with another binding vow.
personally i find it very validating to yuji that sukuna decided to use his domain against him 1 v 1
like he wasnt switching anymore with todo
he was just stood there tearing into sukuna
and the best thing sukuna could come up with was "i need to end this now and use my domain on him"
he's actually treating yuji as a threat and that shouldnt be overlooked
Bruv I got so excited when the spoilers came out, this is the biggest plot twist in JJK since I've started watching your channel after the Shibuya incident😂

God bless you and have a nice day
Wait does Yuta not have the six eyes? I don’t remember shoko saying they would be gone on gojo death?
Love the videos! Great overall takes. Can we get a 262 predictions next?!?
This is a masterpiece
Imagine if Sukuna has enough points in the culling games after his fight with Yuta to make a new rule in the culling game that would make him unstoppable.
Love is the most twisted curse of all. And Yuta Okotsu became a monster because of it. His love for his friends and master.
I still think we're going to get some Gojo. Thinking back on when Geto was able to choke Kinjaku during Shibuya.
I see it as gojo finally being supported in a way because he’ll be using the body alongside yuji and todo even though he isn’t there mentally
In a way even though he’s embracing the monster role it goes against the loneliness aspect that gojo , yuta and yuji were familiar with because of the circumstances
