If I have smoke in my boat, I always try to smell it, you can smell soon enough if it is electronic or grease. You can also take your motors out of the boat connect to esc and run them and see if smoke comes out. It's a beautiful boat! I hope you find out soon!
Have you considered some low profile negative incidence strakes on the nose to keep the nose tame? I’m an aero guy so I don’t know the effect on a hull, but I’ve fitted strakes even to a superbike with measurable results.
I have seen aero work on some catamarans, especially those prone to blowing off. This one hasn’t given me any issues with the front end, I think a lot of it is probably just in the tune, but it’s worth looking into thanks.
I have not had good luck with the pro boat motors. The surpass rockets have been a good value for the money ose is carrying them. Rc juice in Sacramento ca. Has a good selection in stock and there servos are good vtm. SCBG4L
Before spending you coin on new motors,You just need to see if the rRH tube has grease all the way up to the motor end. And try better grease. I use black moly grease. It probably loses MPH because it’s sticky but I never get hot tubes.
i cant find a pond around my town for anything. Ive searched google earth, asked around, and drove around. anything i find is for small 15-18" boats at best.
Just put it aside and then check everything. First things i would check would be waterjacket and stuffing tube/driveshafts on wear/dry/etc... (You could leave a small piece off liner out off stuffingtube and bent it over and tighten that so you know it doesn't spin)... Then probably motor amd endbell to see nothing is wrong. Temps were good, so if there are no more ideas then use it till it brakes and then deside...
Just my 2 cents: Before spending big bucks on new motors, maybe you could check the current draw of each motor (Amps), on the bench and/or on the water. If there is a significant difference, then it would seem that one motor either has some defect, or that one motor is having to work a lot harder compared to the other, which might indicate a drive line issue. Good luck man!
YOUR MOTORS ARE NOT HURT... RUN THEM ON THE BENCH WITH FAN BLADE (PROP) TO LOAD THEM... SEE THEN.... MEASURE RESISTANCE ACCROSS 3 PHASES... SEE IF THE RESISTANCE IS CLOSE BETWEEN THE TWO MOTORS.... BUT LIKE I SAID, I REALLY DONT THINK THE MOTORS ARE HURT... SMELL IT WHENEVER IT SMOKES WHAT KINDA SMELL? ELECTRICAL SMELL DIFFERENT THE STEAM OR GREASE... YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN??

Doesn’t really have an electronics smell. I’ll try to figure it out
Great video the boat really moves out, following to see what the issue is👍
Thank you brother!
Love this boat
Hate that it gives you this many headaches
Time to bring the Cheetah out
Cant wait to see the custom Miss Geico
SCBG4L 🤙
Thanks bro! Frustrating boat but tons of fun
Quick thought it to run it doing left turns only and see if the problem follows.
I can see if other side gets warmer. Will be hard to tell where the smoke comes from once I pop the lid but I think you’re onto something

Worth a shot! Thanks brother ! Boat gang

Finding a spot to run boats is the biggest barrier to entry, and why most people run cars or planes
@@RogallaMarineRC i got a couple decent places but they are already really weedy and its not even June yet. Maybe i need to find an old quarry.
I pushed that motor on 8s like 4 times. Hit 75Mph, never had a issue, but it had low.38 bar 1715 on it. Twin Tenshock 3890s!!! Ftw
Pretty good motors that’s why I’m scratching my head. Tenshocks would be nice just so pricey!
Nice boat, that's to bad that you can't find the issue with the motors. You get it working, you should put a FPV camera on the lid for speed shoots.
issues resolved! vid comes out monday!
how do I get one?
Through MTC if you can!

Thanks peter will do more troubleshooting and see what I can find

Worth checking! Thanks for the comment brother
My cheetah does the same thing on the right side. I have a feeling it's just grease burning.
That would be nice. Seems odd none of my boats do that but it could be l
My Cheetah will gap it
Prove it

Gotcha, will do more testing thanks brother!
