I started out loving mash ,a real junkie by the end i could not stomach 1 single episode. Alan alda hijacked the entire program. Mike ferrell a close second.
There is so much to love about this show. And trivia. McClean Stevenson really wanted to play Hawkeye but was steered to Blake. Good choice. Wayne Roger's was ble to leave as he did because he didn't have a contract. He had one but it was never signed. Alan Alda and Jamie Farr were both in Korea in the Army USO. Jamie Farr actually wore his own dogtags and of course the show was about four times longer than the actual war. I could go on but I've watched the shows so much I know almost every episode line by line. Classic great TV. Never be duplicated. Oh it was almost canceled after the first season.
On Tuesday Mach 18, 1975 Both S3.E24 Abyssinia, Henry the Final Episode for both Wayne Rogers and McLean Stevenson, But as that Episode was in Reruns when I was Born The Morgan Alda Cast is what I knew best. And on March 8, 2001 Edward Winter who Played Col. Samuel Flagg AKA Capt. Halloran Left us, Ciao For Now Col. Flagg, The Wind Broke his Leg. FYI Alan Arbus was Pasarian in Damien: Omen II, The film where Damien Thorn is an Adolescent Boy Played by Jonathan Scott-Taylor In which Alan Arbus has a death scene.
I grew up watching reruns and I absolutely love this show. All our emotions rolled into one show. A masterpiece of characters.
I loved MASH! Easily one of the greatest shows of all time.
I watched casually as a kid, but I just started re-watching the series through the eyes of an adult and a former Marine,… thoughtful and hilarious..
I grew up watching this show. I really should revisit it again... 👍
