I grew up with an '89 Mitsubishi Mirage Turbo. Same shape like this but some nice go-fast bits. Family gave it up in 1992, but I was lucky enough to find one (after like 30 years of searching) last year. I'm cleaning it up now :)
I had this car. It was just a box with an AM/FM radio. No AC. It went through the snow better than my Jimmy (but not my Subaru). I really miss it. It fit all my gear and was actually roomy!
My mom had one the same color but it had a graphics package and shiny black trim on the sides of the windows hers also had the little trunk cover that lifted up when you opened the trunk
in the USA this was marketed under 4 brands in both 2 door hatch and 4 door sedan the Dodge colt, Plymouth colt, Eagle summit, and lastly the Mitsubishi Mirage vary economical and dependable cars.
@@mitsubishikid1187 yes American manufacturers tend to do so.. GM did that to many of its models. Ford did so with Mercury even though it considered the latter a bit more luxurious...
yes! I have one now. It's been parked for a few years +.....but about to try to get it running again for a nephew. Loved it when I was driving it as recently as 6 years ago
I actually do own a red "91 Dodge colt like this one, vary dependable car, fun to drive, I did mod it quite a bit so too did it's previous owner, I upgraded it a bit vary nice reliable car and with upgrades it just gets better all around a great car for first time owners, and if you decide to keep it there are many mods you can do to them on the cheep.
That nose dive from shifing during the speed test though. yikes. Don't remmber these but if the door handles don't fall off like the omni thats a huge steep up for Dodge! 😂
This confuses me - it looks American, but talking about metric measurements, so thinking ah it must be Canadian, but then the guy has an Australian accent which just throws another spanner in the works.
This was my first car and had it for 10 years, never let me down and I still regret selling it… big nostalgia 😢
I had this car! Those skinny tires cut through Edmonton snow so good, never got stuck as a delivery boy.

Growing up in the 90s my dad had one of these a 90 bare bones model with a manual transmission
My mom had one the same color but it had a graphics package and shiny black trim on the sides of the windows hers also had the little trunk cover that lifted up when you opened the trunk
I like hatchback designs of this generation more than the current hatches on the market
In other countries, such as Lebanon, this car was named Mitsubishi Colt. The Mitsubishi Lancer sedan had the same face too.
Nabil M - same in Europe.

My first car.
Same and mine was red too. I loved that car so much
We still have this vehicle and works great it just needs a new battery and an alternator
This was a fun little manual car. Mine had an issue were it wouldn’t start in the rain though.

I had one..
Went through two intake manifolds because the cast kept cracking!!
*“Rumored demise of the civic hatchback”* aged like fine milk
Omg. My buddy had this car.
94hp. Now the commenters get mad if a car has less than 150hp 😆
My dad had one with turbo. I think it was a 1993 model
Is that red car a dodge colt?
❤ Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Lancer rebadged.
