- What is going on everybody, this is TGA, and in today's video, we traveled all the way to Kent to make this video, and we came across, probably the worst private police force in the country, The Canterbury Cathedral Constables. They were originally set up in the 12th century, and they were reformed in 2016, however, I went up and told them I was making a TH-cam video about them and I was met by bully tactics, with them literally grabbing me hard and dragging me out of the Cathedral grounds, and them phoning Kent Police Firearms, thinking I'd be arresting for not doing anything wrong. Absolutely shocking, I hope more people visit Canterbury Cathedral with cameras and drones.

Cracking video as always. The two cathedral constables are absolutely shocking. He was very aggressive from the start, wasn't even interested in asking you anything, he just wanted you gone just for filming. Very aggressive on how he escorted you out. Lying on the radio. Seriously, I wouldn't put them in charge of paper bag never mind being constables of a cathedral. Them 2 constables should be removed from the office, they are unfit fit to hold that position.

Watching this from Australia, and can't believe how many clowns over in Britain dress up in pretend police uniforms and think they are important. Now we have "Cathedral Constables" on top of PCSO's and Council Litter Patrols to name just a few. Crazy. Later we see a "Constable's Lodge", I mean really, isn't this just a "Gateman" and his hidy hole is just a "Kennel" Gotta love the grand names! Then there's the "Gang Badge" to complete the dress up costume!

Cathedral constables have been around a long time, York cathedral has a constabulary as well there's parks constables as well again going back many years they have more powers than standard security

Be careful what you wish for, it's better to have these models of policing than simply a one national police force managed by central government.
Britain has moved away from true community policing because we're under the illusion that the county forces are all different, the reality is its central London and the Home Office that control them.
If we moved back to the model we had 60 years ago where most towns and cities had their own police controlled by local councils and community policing panels half the problems we see today wouldn't exist.
Who still thinks they live in a free sociaty when goons for hire like this arnt held accountable.

Canterbury Cathedral is a very busy tourist attraction, with many foreign tourists, the Cathedral police have been allowed to dictate and demand without question for far too long, this time they got what they deserved.
The thuggery and intimidation involved never ceases to amaze. About time a personal grooming policy is introduced too.

To be fair that was quite a stylish way to get thrown out of the Cathedral. I bet not many people have been thrown out in such a way (I bet not many have been thrown out 😆).
It's disgusting these cathedrals are charging people entry. Last time I went to York Minster it was just after a lockdown and they was charging £12 for 15 minutes and you had to book ahead. Then they decided to close as and when they wanted to and ignore the opening times. When I questioned the staff about it they was rude and aggressive.

They appear to be acting more like private security? filming the office isn't illegal, the onus is on them to cover up any ''sensitive'' documents. You can film anything from a public place, public place includes anywhere that is publicly accessible. The fact the real police are having to explain photography laws to them would indicate they aren't trained to an acceptable level, I would write to the Cathedral to complain about their behavior and get your money back at least.

Why? Auditor committed a privacy violation by filming into the building and was told to stop filming (this is private property), refused so was removed under the terms and conditions of entry.
Seems pretty simple to me, don't abuse the rights of others and you won't get removed.

I remember going in the front gate 42 years ago, free to get then then, and having a beer at the Olive Branch pub just behind you. I think the camera guy was a little arrogant in his approach and extremely reckless in flying his drone amongst the public with high wind alerts on his drone. I think the camera guy needs to look closely at his actions
Exactly, even attempting to fly in a crowded area with high winds breaks the CAA's drone laws (even sub 250g), and he failed to follow the terms and conditions of entry, hence removed from the premises.

I wouldn't go through the complaints procedure, my lawyer would. A case against the police and a case against the officers. No chance of accepting a settlement payout. Abuse of authority has to stop. That "police officer" needs to be fired and mentally assessed.
