- HEY ! I didn't want y'all to forget me so while I haven't done the 26" bicycle video I promised yet, here is a little filler from when I did my 1,058-mile Texas tour in October of 2020. Wow! time goes by so fast.

I'm doing pretty good and hope you are too. I can't hike like I used to but these bikes keep me going. 🤓
That was a great tour...how about another documentary biking west to east across Texas in 2023? Also, (and something completely different) going to be in Cleburne State Park soon. Dug up a couple of your old videos about it to give me a better idea what to expect.
I've definitely thought about a west to east trip and there's a 400 mile route across Oklahoma I'd like to do plus a 250 mile loop in northwest Arkansas. Oh my I have a long list. Lol
I hope you enjoy Cleburne state park. With the low rainfall amount the lake is really low and not even charcoal in grills is allowed right now. More rain in the forecast for this coming week so hopefully I will change. ✌
@@BluecollarBackcountry Well it sure rained on us as we camped last week, but the lake was still well below the spillway. (It sure would be nice to see when water flows over it) Hiked a lot of the trails, and as you say in your other videos, you mostly have the place to yourself.
I hope the rain didn't spoil your time there. I was there one day last week and got a 12 hike in just as one of the thunderstorms hit the park. The triple spillway is nice to see when the water is really flowing.

But we might have been gone to the Johnson County Courthouse & museum, or the Red Horse Antique Store, (and eating at the Mexican food restaurant inside) or at the Cleburne Railroaders Baseball Game, or at the HEB, or...

Man it has been brutal with the heat! Nice y’all were able to escape it for a bit. Thanks for the montage! We’ll be in the Nashville area next week and we’re hoping to get out and explore some while we’re there… but wouldn’t ya know it rain in the forecast all week. Oh well… we will take rain over 110 degrees anytime!

@@BluecollarBackcountry I'm doing fine thanks I was away from home for a couple of months and since I got back I've been working to top up the finances. Video out tomorrow of Scotland. Videos should be a little more regular after that.

I am actually sitting on my mower, here in Alabama as I watch this. We’re at the other end of the spectrum…it is the end of August and we are seeing highs in the upper 70s and rain nearly daily. I’ve worn my mower out this year!!
Whew! We could use some of that. Lol
@@BluecollarBackcountry On Sand Mountain, Alabama in NE Alabama, everyone’s yard looks like we are going into the hay business. We can’t keep it mowed right now for the rain. It has been a strange August. Usually we have extreme heat & dry in August, rolling on into mid- September. Not this year. I am wondering what that means for this winter? Will I finally get to ride my fat bike in the snow?!?!
Speaking of hay business, many people here only got one cutting this year and that didn't yield much. Folks are worried and talking about selling much of their herd so they can make it through the winter.
@@BluecollarBackcountry I wish that they had some of our hay. I haven’t asked any farmers lately, but I judging from what I am seeing, the farmers in our area MAY be able to pull off two more cuttings before frost, if we have a late frost like the last couple of years.
