If you haven't heard some of the bizarre tales about Crispin Glover's... shall we say, "unique" interpretation of how George McFly should've been portrayed, honestly, check out the special features on the Blu-ray. Apparently for the scene where he tells Marty "not you or anyone else on this planet is gonna change my mind", he insisted that he needed to be holding a broom, so he could do a "sweep of indignation", whatever that means. Never mind that George is walking home from school in that scene, no, he clearly must be carrying a broom with him. Also, he insisted that the new successful George at the end should have slicked-back hair, a tank top, and hiked-up pants. Half the challenge of working with him, according to Robert Zemeckis, wast just throwing the metaphorical blanket over his cage and getting him to behave like a normal person. The recasting for the sequel suddenly makes a lot more sense.
@@jbwarner8626 According to his co-star Lea Thompson, his performance in Back to the Future was a major reason for the film’s success, & the biggest laughs on set & during test screenings were by Glover’s lines.
I like how the answer to "who's the nicest famous guy you know" changes a couple times when he performs this song at different points in time, but Gary Busey being the biggest jerk remains constant :p
I think the Gary Busey thing might not be a joke (in case anyone wonders) -- there's other interviews by other celebs I've seen where they said or implied Gary Busey is pretty much an asshole.
@@njflyersfan74 Gary Busey has brain damage from a motorcycle accident. And if anyone saw him on Celebrity Apprentice he came across as sane compared to Meatloaf's freakout.
They ensure movies get made by getting reciprocation from the Director and Writer(s) about cast chemistry, script effect, and test screening palatability. Then after having inputs on cuts(usually ignored by more experienced directors) they decide with the studio on how much the film is worth for distribution long after they decide budgetary allocation for production. In short, they pay for the shit.
Cool song by a really cool f**kin' guy! I think the 4 "dislikes" (as of 1/18/21) votes are from Eric Stoltz, Crispin Glover, Gary Busey and an easily offended DeLorean owner!
I loved Tom as Biff but now my favorite role of his was the episode of Legends of Tomorrow where he serenaded a Minotaur with a James Taylor song. Honestly, Tom’s fun in pretty much every role he plays.
This is why i always try to challenge people I meet with questions they are not expecting. If I met Tom, I would probably ask about the guitars he has or some wicked obscure project.
He sings different versions of this song. E.g. originally he asked three times about Michael J. Fox and the third one he said "... he's an alien!", and he asked three times "was that real manure?" and says "no" for the first two times while answering "... it's a movie!" for the third one.
“How was that DeLorean? A piece of garbage.” Oof! That hurt Tom, that hurt! Also, there’s all of these questions, but does anyone ever ask him about Robert Zemeckis? I know I would. Zemeckis is a genius!
i mean, they look cool as hell... But it is a piece of garbage. Terrible electric system, the door hydraulics always go bad and it has the engine that Volvo used in the 260 series sedans and station wagons.

The DeLorean being a piece of garbage isn't surprising at all. I've toured several movie and TV sets and seen props used and they are literal hunks of trash that are molded into something that resembles the actual item being depicted in the cheapest way possible. For example, was touring an old set from Kong: Skull Island and the makers left a downed helicopter from the film there. The ranch it was on in Hawaii left it there as a landmark of where the scene was filmed. Up close you can easily tell it's a bunch of scrap metal welded into a helicopter shell. During transport of the prop to the set, the top case of the propeller broke so they painted a cooking wok (yes a real one) the same color and jammed that in there. The props are almost always designed to be thrown away or not used again so film companies never spend on those these days because you can just CGI it in post.
If I ever met him now I'd ask him why he thinks Gary Busey's such a jerk, hoping it has something to do with throwing water in Sal's face for confusing him with Nick Nolte.
Adam Sandler must’ve pissed him off one day or Matt Damon is just so much nicer. I wonder how Adam feels about it. I imagine Adam sat there watching one of these videos expecting to hear his name then hearing Matt Damon. WTF. 🤣

Fun fact: if you meet him in person and try to ask those questions, he will simply hand you his business card that has the answers.
Really
Now that’s is cool
Must be nice to never ever have to lift a finger after playing the same character 7 times.
He should update it with a QR code that links to this video :)
And now he gets asked to sing this song all the time. He should write a song called "Tom's Not Gonna Sing That Song Any More!"
lol that would be amazing :)
"Hey, man, you were so great in Back to the Future! Would you mind answering a couple questions?"
Tom: (sighs and takes out guitar)
I bet he always carries a ukulele with him just to be prepared
He had such a smile when he said "Back to the Future IV" wasn't happening.
