It’s so great that you view everything with humor and sarcasm. I have two tours in OIF and two in OEF and experienced a severe TBI and PTSD. I did things like got lost while I was driving to the grocery store and had to call my wife to come find me. I had severe mood swings and side effects from all the meds the VA put me on. I even went so far as to have suicidal ideation. One day, the flood gates just opened. I started laughing at myself. I started making myself the butt end of jokes. I started taking it all in stride. Not that i didn’t take my condition seriously. But I realized I was traumatizing myself with sulking and defensiveness. My friend sent me a video of Tom Wilson’s song “Biff’s question song.” I enjoyed that Tom approached his plight with enthusiasm and sarcasm. Suddenly the clouds parted. From that day on I became positive about my situation. Laughter truly is the best medicine. I don’t mean to over-dramatize it. But it was the exact same bump I needed at that moment to bring me back to reality and make me enthusiastic about people again. Been following Tom ever since. Positivity is a gift people. Laughter is medicine and humility is our hidden treasure.
Underrated Actor. Probably one of the most "real" celebrities I've seen. You could totally imagine him just eating a burger at your local hangout with his family. From what I understand, super nice guy too.
Speaking about food the first time the public ever saw a KFC biscuit was when it was being held in a commercial by Tom Wilson. Yes the same Tom Wilson that's in this video.
He has a song addressed to any guy wanting to date his daughter. It starts with him jovially describing this hot little teenager and the adding "She's my Daughter". What's so funny is the change from ogling dirty old man to steely eyed sociopath protecting his off spring. Classic.
+BeligerentPaladin Ah, Generation X. We had 4 channels and were so easily pleased. I LOVED 'The Secrets of Isis' as a kid. Watched it recently and its nearly unwatchable. It was a simpler time.
Most of the stuff from the 1970s is fairly unwatchable. Oddly enough, Japan actually produced some very good animated superhero series during the 1970s. It was a golden age for them. I've got two of those shows on home video... They didn't produce anything comparable in the US until the 1990s and even then it's questionable. With the exception of The Incredible Hulk live-action TV series, I don't think any of the superhero series on-air in the US were particularly good. Except for the Hulk, the Marvel series were awful. Wonder Woman really wasn't any better. If you watch that series now, it's incredibly campy without the "good parts" the Adam West Batman series had. Of course, it's Wonder Woman and as someone who collected comics for close to 30 years I can't honestly recommend more than maybe 1 or 2 storylines that featured Wonder Woman. If they didn't write her well in the comics, what chance did the TV series have?!?!
I only know it existed because The Sci-Fi Channel (now called Syfy) aired both it and a Planet of the Apes documentary special for its anniversary in 1998. If it hadn't been for those I doubt I would have known about it either. And upon further searching, I've found there were two series in the 70's: a live action and an animated series that I just now noticed.
Huge BTTF fan since I was 7 (40 now). I don't know if I can hate Biff as much after knowing a kind person is playing him. Tom Wilson should be far more famous, what an actor!
Anthony Bha first movie I ever saw in the theater. it was so loud I got a headache. I Remember Loving the movie and eating Rolos candy.still one of my favorite movies of all time. in its own way it is a masterpiece, especially for an 80s movie
You have to appreciate the person behind the role. A good villain played badly falls flat. Biff wasn't even Wilson's best role, its a little sad its the one he is most remembered for.
OK, I admit, I'm an ass. I had never seen your non-BTTF stuff. I'm now binge watching your standup. Awesome stuff. (I've also been to more than one Sci-Fi convention)
Who knew Biff ain’t Biff like? Tom loved you and Larry the cable guy in the health inspector. I am glad you are not a Biff, for real. High Energy funny person. The back to the future franchise rocks.
Loving your recent work, Tom. Good to see you recognizing the relativity in fame, careers etc. I never knew you were this all round an entertainer, but I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel and more recent work. Love from Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Who knew that the antagonist for all three of the Back To The Future movies would be such a charming and funny guy…and he can sing! 😂 he would fit right in with the Back To The Future: the Musical! Fans of the trilogy (me) would love it!
I watch the BTTF movies over and over and over. Whenever they are on TV, I kind of reserve the rest of the day to watch them because most TV stations will play all three of them together. They are masterpieces so full of wisdom and genuinely entertaining from beginning to end. They give you a lot to think about. Tom Wilson was a big part of that.
I give massive props to you, Tom. You are a great natural stand-up comedian. I hope you have a butt-load of success. I wasn't trying to make a joke, jeez.
he looks so much the same and yet-so different. I like how he holds his face different as biff. I think he's cute as Tom (idk how else to put it) but would *never* think of Biff as cute.
The day Tom Wilson gets another good role is a day for celebration. I hope he helps Chris Roberts out with Star CItizen but that might be a bad career move... dunno. Good luck Tom, you're great! :-)
I like your videos and songs, and respect you for taking in good humor the clear difficulty of having done many movies, yet being stuck as Biff, (or Griff or Buford) in the minds of most. Rock on.
I met Tom at a pal's offsite reception when i was an active duty Marine in the Los Angeles area in 2006. I recognized him although I couldn't place him (till my pal told me "Dude, he played Biff!!"), but everything that came out of his mouth was effin' hilarious!
I watched all the Planet of the Apes original movies, and the TV show. Several times. Hey, it was before the Internet and cable! I've also had the opportunity to attend a few of the minor sci fi conventions, including one for Stargate, where it was fun to meet some of the stars and supporting cast.
waited a long time for a new song Tom! well worth the wait! your songs are crucial melodic gems sparkling at the peak of musical comedy. :) hats off sir.
I love all the rolls you played in the Back to the Future series. Next to Star Wars its my favorite trilogy. You are my favorite character, lots of talent. You definatly carried the series. Did not know you were this funny in real life. Hi from North West Indiana.
What interested the most in you was your appearance on EWTN’s Life On The Rock with Jeff Cavins. Ever since then, I’ve kept an eye out for you. If I recall correctly, it was 2007 when I had the opportunity to see you performing stand up at the Improv in Brea, CA. I bought one of your CDs, got a chance to meet you and get your autograph. I’ve seen you in other movies since. I just want you to know, I think you are very talented and entertaining. I appreciate you sir. 👍
Great song Tom!! I like the reference to all the other movies you've made that no one remembers. Must have been nice getting to work with Glenn Frey in Let's Get Harry
i met eddie munster at a pinball convention near my home town of all places, nice guy same thing sit behind a stack of 8x10s and signs them while he talks to them
Hmm the geek in line is named todd? wonder if there is a connection to the role he played in wing commander its sci fi convention so, maybe there is :) Really looked up to you, in your role as maniac in wing commander when I was a kid, always gave the game alot of crazy charm, well nevermind, great song
LOL Good song. Yeah a lot of celebs do the sci-fi convention circuit while between jobs. From what i've seen it can be seriously good money. Hell I'd pay some cash for an autographed 8x10
The parts of SF conventions that are mentioned in this song are a lot of the reason why I quit going to the damn things. I'm actually a sci-fi & movie fan, but between the sad spectacle of semi- stars selling autographs and ubernerds stridently arguing about ewoks, wookies, & any other thing, I would rather have walked into an asylum. On the other hand, Tom, if you were there & had a current picture [ with guitar], I'd gladly shell out some green. Keep rocking, friend!
Love you stuff, man. My fanship is renewed. Don't know if you ever make it to the Southwest, but would love to see your show. Even my girlfriend likes you. And she hates everything.
Besides Back to the Future, I also immediately recognised you from Ghost Whisperer! You were Delia's super sweet lover haha. Quite the opposite character
Seriously hilarious. I like your sense of humor, not taking shit too seriously. Growing up in the 80's I get all the jokes. Funny thing, I watched April Fools Day last year and I was like, "Wow Biff is in another movie." I am from Philly also.
Tom I just got done watching the blooper reel from Wing Commander III (one of my favorite childhood games) and it was hilarious to watch your on set antics. I fondly remember your character- do you do any stand up in the Los Angeles area? Would love to see you live! Thanks and keep up the great videos/music!
Ok seriously how is he not a bigger star? Everything I see of him, Tom is hilarious without even trying
Uh...it's a joke. If you listen carefully, there are people laughing while drinking grown up drinks and eating snacks and having fun.
Got it!
I think I understand.
Been down a Tom Wilson rabbit hole for about an hour. These are hilarious thank you for sharing sir!
Brilliant.

"Yeah, I didn't know they made one either." Gold!
I love how he stops and tells the stories in between. Such a great singing voice also
There is something really wrong in the movie business when a guy like Tom doesn't work 24/7 The dude is a true artist.
when you were singing the line "I've done 30 or 40 movies, hey you only remember three" I kept thinking of Mark Hamill :-D
bs mark hamill has a full life with us nerds as also the joker
@@hardwirecars... And also with Tom Wilson in Wing Commander 3.
@@hardwirecars Exactly. Never a star wars fans so he will always be the joker to me.
And do those three all have the same name ;)
@@babygirlzmommy Actually they kinda do...
Oh that is too funny! I actually got started watching _Biff's Question Song_ and had to check the other stuff out. Lol
I believe you and everybody else who likes Tom.
The Biff's Question Song is awesome!
Same here
Me too!
Yep. How weird is that 🤣
Same!!!

I am so ashamed. I actually remember the Planet of the Apes TV series. I think I even had the lunch box at one point.
I not only remember it, I put together and painted the models.

AvengerII The Incredible Hulk was so good, because KEN Johnson (creator of "V") brought humanity into it.
"Wilson...No, not the volleyball."
Not the neighbor from Home Improvement.
I totally thought he was going to mention that Wilson too!
"Wilson,...No, not Eddie Wilson."
"Wilson...no, not Mr Wilson from Dennis The Menace"

Its cool how he has a sense of humour about himself. And the song is great!
I only go to Maria's in Encino, Dom, and am only served by Darren! :)
You're the best, Tom! Huge fan of your comedy. I hope you tour again after this COVID-19 madness. We could use some chuckles in South Florida!
@@Rinksiderips And the panhandle.
This is especially hilarious to me because I saw him at a panel at a convention last year
I can't believe he threw out a Flip Wilson reference. Does anyone else remember him?
@Mac Bruno, You mean, THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT, GERALDINE JONES, That Flip Wilson? Nope don't remember him. LOL
"What you see is what you get !!"
@@Steve-cc4tl You're on it. He had a sketch comedy show in the 70's. He was pretty funny.
Steve LOL! I was JUST about to reply with a The Devil Made Me Do It reference. 😂
I saw you in Shreveport, LA at a sci-fi convention around 1998 -1999. I didn’t want to be there either.
WING COMMANDER 3 and 4, baby.
And Prophecy!
He was a real Maniac!
Genius all the way. Cheers from France!

OK, I admit, I'm an ass. I had never seen your non-BTTF stuff. I'm now binge watching your standup. Awesome stuff.

He's really funny. I never knew this how Biff wound up until recently. He might have a second rise to stardom. His songs are so inventive and good.
Who would have ever thought that Biff is actually one of the funniest people from the movie? This song was pure genius.
