The vintage Ram Man was a unique figure but kind of silly in awkward as a toy then. He had very little articulation and felt cheap. But this Masterverse Version sure brings out a way better character in figure form with the design and articulation! Thanks for watching 👍

Dude, it's so refreshing to see reviews of the new figures, people that actually know what they are doing. It seems like everyone is doing reviews these days and that's cool, but the problem I have is they don't even know what they have or how it works. I saw some reviews where the dude was heating Clawful's shield, almost reaping off his arm because he couldn't set his shield, I was like, dude! just put his shield like any regular figure, no need to do all that craziness. Another one reviewed Faker but said the design was too hunch and leaning forward, never did he straighten his torso articulation. I was like man just make his torso articulation stand straight. And on and on. lol. Good to see more of your reviews and hope u are feeling better.
Thanks for always taking the time stop in and check out the reviews. Your comments also are very important to hear! Yes there are many people reviewing everything out there now a days. And as you mentioned it's good but the reviews definitely are different person to person. I film the figure in box first and say my intro. Then I cut and remove everything and see how stuff works and research the things I'm not sure of to find info before I continue. I also don't always get everything correct or have a different opinion. But I try to show all the important points and set ups plus some custom ideas with other figures if I can. I guess somethings are hit or miss and its good to watch more than one review on a figure you are interested in. I do that myself with figures I want too. I'm hanging in there. It's the chronic fatigue and pain that sucks. Thanks for asking and enjoying the review 👍

I have to admit! I also like this Ram Man figure better than the Classics. The overall looks, head sculpt, and articulation are much better. Classics has more of the vintage vibe as far as nastalgia to the original figure, but of course, more modernized. I never liked the closed eyes with the classics figure and limited articulation. Yes that's where his Character first appeared..He was also a Toy in the Vintage Toy line with a button on the feet that gave him an action effect with a spring.

It is a really cool figure. Here in italy it is not available yet, but I preordered it together with The New Eternia Buzz-off. From what I can see it rocks from almost every point of view, I appreciate the idea of the rubber legs, even if - ugh - the joints are still terrible!
Thanks for watching the review. That's great you preordered these figures from were ever you can get them. Unfortunately much of the MOTU lines and figures get very poor distribution to other countries sometimes. Even in the USA most of these have to ordered online from retailers like BBTS or Amazon. The Rubber legs are very cool but can be a problem down the with time and not doing proper care. Yeah the arm joints in the elbow aer ugly with the Masterverse when they are all the way open because of the articulation cuts. But I see why they did it with those figures to get maxium articulation. They are still really cool figures though. I'm glad you like this new Ram man figure as well👍
Yeah the rubber for his pants is cool but mine dented in when recording and stayed that way. I gotta mess around and see if I can get it to pop back out
I like the Rubber pant and understand they did that to use the newer articulation but try to hide it with the vintage inspired Spring legs look that Ram man is knows for. But yeah that Rubber can be an issue down the road unfortunately. Thanks for watching 👍
Great video as always - got a question tho - what are the black stands you use from? Are they something you can buy in packs? Plz lmk - I'd really like some for my collection, right now I use NECA stands but yours look much sturdier.
Thanks for checking out the video. I sent a link on where I get those Black stands from eBay. I have purchased a couple hundred over the years. 90 percent of my Neca, Mcfarlane and Motu figures have these. They work great. Sometimes you have to bend the stand forward or open the ends up on a figures waist to use them. They also make smaller and a Larger size one. I have those both. These stands are good for 6 to 8 inch tall figures. Some can be an issue because of the design. But I modify the stand or use a twisted tie on Neca Aliens for example to hold the waist tight for example. Hopefully this helps👍
Great review! I noticed you paused when examining the rubber on his legs. ForEternia was also suspect of the quality of that rubber over time - do you see it surviving the next 5-10 years or is it problematic?
Thanks for checking the review out! Yes the Rubber on the Legs can definitely become a problem in time. It depends on how much the figure is moved around in the legs. Is it stored in direct Sun light, High humity or the attic. Plus how was the Rubber manufactured. The only thing can do is keep it in card and watch how it is stored. I have Rubber legs and arms on some figures that arec20 years old. Some held up fine and others didn't. It's one of things I guess!
He’s great. I’m definitely going to get him! The only thing I wish they would have done with this figure is give the option to have shorter leg pieces to make him short like the original. And an optional weapon would have been nice. Maybe a giant hammer!

That's an interesting idea about a short pair of legs. Looking at the design and way the rubber pieces hide the articulation. I'm sure how they would do that without more complex tooling and expense. But that would have been cool. Its still a great figure and worth the purchase 👍
@@Themanchlid Definitely a cool figure. For the legs, I suppose they could just have made a regular length and a shorter pair because I think they are detachable at the leg socket, right? They could be interchangeable. Unless they are different than the origins in that way.
@@bryansphere6359 Yeah if the Masterverse had removable waist parts like the Origins then that idea could work. But the Masterverse has a sealed pin in the waist does not seperate like the Origins. I wish they did. Custom work would be so much easier!

I'm hoping to get all caught up this month. I'm starting to fall behind because I'm always buying extra stuff for my customs. I don't really focus on the main line. I'm always distracted by 50 million cool ideas for customs rolling around in my head. lol
Yeah those custom jobs or ideas can really time consuming. I have a couple things that I have been trying to do for a while too. This figure would be interesting for some custom jobs too👍
Ram man is incredible. Highly looking forward to getting him. Probably one of my favorite good guys next to Man e faces. OH....Got Snakeface and Dragon blaster Skeletor yesterday. Just beautiful figures.

I really like the look of this Ram Man! I’m a bit indifferent to the alternate heads and the extra armor; if I were collecting Masterverse, I’d likely just put them to the side and display him with his traditional look because that looks perfect! I do agree that those legs seem like they could be problematic after time. Not liking that rubbery “tubing” effect they make when they bend, if you know what I mean. Outside of that, another home run by Mattel!
Good to hear you like this new Masterverse RAM MAN Design! I also prefer the Original look without the Other heads abd spare armored. But after having the Classics and Origins loose with the typical Vintage designs. I kept him set up with the new Eternia look for now! Yes those rubber will no dout beca problem down the road depending on how much the articulation is used and where the figure is stored such as Direct Sun light, high humity, extreme heat or places like the attic for a long time. It's probley best to keep in card if you can. Aside from that! It's another great looking design of a fan favorite Core character in the New Eternia line. Thanks for dropping by as always 🤝
Great review sir as always. This ram man is awesome got mine Friday. The masterverse line is hitting it out of the park with some of the figures. I remember getting the original ram man at Meijer in 1983. The childhood memories and the nostalgia for the both lines always be there. Yeah this ram man may be the best one but maybe the could included another weapon like they did for origins.

I like the heads and overall design. I too remember getting that first Ram man as a kid in 83. Those figures were the coolest thing and memories to this day. It's totally about the Nastalgia now! Who would have thought 40 years later we would have so many cool options now like The Classics, Origins and Masterverse for figures like Ram man and so many other core characters. You can always use the Origins Ram man weapons in the Masterverse hands. You might have to put some take if they are too loose. But still looks cool👍

Man, I just picked Ram Man up at Target over the weekend and I am so disappointed 😢. The entire upper body and accessories are perfect! But, those rubber pants are terrible. Even the ankle articulation is better than every Masterverse figure I've had before. Why didn't they just make sculpted plastic legs???!!! I have to return him but man, this was so close to perfect.
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! Yeah, I think he is one of the best versions of Ram Man yet in any MOTU line because of his design, sculpt, and articulation, as you mentioned! The rubber pants are interesting in concept. But they are gonna be nothing but problems down the road if not now out of the box. I had a few figures with rubber arms or legs from Mcfarlane that are 20 years old almost. Some help up others did not. It depends on how the rubber was manufactured and how often the joints were moved. How the figure was stored and things like that. The rubber pants are a bad spot for that material. Mine seems ok, and it looks good. But I'm not sure how it will be in the long run.. Why are you returning him? Is there an issue now, or do you just not want the figure with Rubber parts?
@@Themanchlid I'm returning him because the rubber pants obstruct the weird knee articulation and they will undoubtedly degrade in the coming years. One of the knee joints is weak on mine as well. 🤦 Such a great figure besides those rubber pants.

Great review, but guaranteed that the rubber sheath on the legs will degrade over the years and either become a sticky mess, or just dry-rot. Kind of sad. I like the effort, but I wish it would have been a different choice.
Yeah I have to agree with you on that. It might be best to leave it in card or use Talcon powder with a brush on the rubber to stop some of the degrading with time. I have a few figures with rubber that's 20 years old. The best thing is to keep them out of direct Sun light, Heat and high humity. Never store them in attic or places light that. My figures have been ok to this point. The ones I didn't do as I mentioned became sticky and did break down. Aside that. It's still a really cool Ram man for the Masterverse line. I’m getting that mastersverse Ram-Man, but in my opinion the classics design and sculpt wins by a long shot. The the new blue armor and shredder mask looks ridiculous to my eyes 🤷🏼♂️
The Classics will always be one of the best figures going back to the Vintage Nastalgia but Modernized for the adult collectors. My only complaint with the Classics is both heads have shut eyes or very squinty. The Masters Ram man has a really cool Face sculpt and articulation over the Classics. They are both cool figures though. What's nice with the Masterverse is you don't have to use those other accessories. Just keep him tradicional! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍

@JoeJoe-xn3zv lol. Then it should be fine! I have a couple of Mcfarlane figures that used rubber on the arms and legs that are 20 years old and still goog because they just sat on shelves. I would move them around every now and then. Keep out of direct sunlight.

Yeah I like this design for a Ram man in the Masterverse series. I was pretty sure he wasn't gonna have any action features and just be articulated like the Classics. The Masterverse is doing a really great job with these figures. The articulation feel good compared to Mcfarlane Spawn figures that can't stand up most of the time.
Some sellers are getting a few here and there. I found mine on eBay. I think BBTS got some in but sold out. He's not really suppost to hit online retailers until late summer. But you never know with these figures. Thanks for stopping in to check out the review 👍

I like this Ram Man, he looks most true to life. I am a bit dubious about the rubber around his legs though.

I think that actually destroys the classics. When I did Battleborn I also made him more of a stocky regular guy instead of a fridge lol

Those rubbery pants are why I'm not getting him, which is a damn shame because otherwise he looks really good.
I like the Rubber pant and understand they did that to use the newer articulation but try to hide it with the vintage inspired Spring legs look that Ram man is knows for. But yeah that Rubber can be an issue down the road unfortunately. Thanks for watching 👍

Thanks for checking out the video. I sent a link on where I get those Black stands from eBay. I have purchased a couple hundred over the years. 90 percent of my Neca, Mcfarlane and Motu figures have these. They work great. Sometimes you have to bend the stand forward or open the ends up on a figures waist to use them. They also make smaller and a Larger size one. I have those both. These stands are good for 6 to 8 inch tall figures. Some can be an issue because of the design. But I modify the stand or use a twisted tie on Neca Aliens for example to hold the waist tight for example. Hopefully this helps👍

Great review! I noticed you paused when examining the rubber on his legs. ForEternia was also suspect of the quality of that rubber over time - do you see it surviving the next 5-10 years or is it problematic?
Thanks for checking the review out! Yes the Rubber on the Legs can definitely become a problem in time. It depends on how much the figure is moved around in the legs. Is it stored in direct Sun light, High humity or the attic. Plus how was the Rubber manufactured. The only thing can do is keep it in card and watch how it is stored. I have Rubber legs and arms on some figures that arec20 years old. Some held up fine and others didn't. It's one of things I guess!
He’s great. I’m definitely going to get him! The only thing I wish they would have done with this figure is give the option to have shorter leg pieces to make him short like the original. And an optional weapon would have been nice. Maybe a giant hammer!
Thanks for checking out the review! Yeah, I really like the overall design and accessories. The articulation is a big help now with this version of Ram Man. That's an interesting idea about a short pair of legs. Looking at the design and way the rubber pieces hide the articulation. I'm sure how they would do that without more complex tooling and expense. But that would have been cool. Its still a great figure and worth the purchase 👍

Definitely a cool figure. For the legs, I suppose they could just have made a regular length and a shorter pair because I think they are detachable at the leg socket, right? They could be interchangeable. Unless they are different than the origins in that way.
@@bryansphere6359 Yeah if the Masterverse had removable waist parts like the Origins then that idea could work. But the Masterverse has a sealed pin in the waist does not seperate like the Origins. I wish they did. Custom work would be so much easier!

I really like the look of this Ram Man! I’m a bit indifferent to the alternate heads and the extra armor; if I were collecting Masterverse, I’d likely just put them to the side and display him with his traditional look because that looks perfect!
I do agree that those legs seem like they could be problematic after time. Not liking that rubbery “tubing” effect they make when they bend, if you know what I mean. Outside of that, another home run by Mattel!
Good to hear you like this new Masterverse RAM MAN Design! I also prefer the Original look without the Other heads abd spare armored. But after having the Classics and Origins loose with the typical Vintage designs. I kept him set up with the new Eternia look for now!
Yes those rubber will no dout beca problem down the road depending on how much the articulation is used and where the figure is stored such as Direct Sun light, high humity, extreme heat or places like the attic for a long time. It's probley best to keep in card if you can. Aside from that! It's another great looking design of a fan favorite Core character in the New Eternia line. Thanks for dropping by as always 🤝
Great review sir as always. This ram man is awesome got mine Friday. The masterverse line is hitting it out of the park with some of the figures. I remember getting the original ram man at Meijer in 1983. The childhood memories and the nostalgia for the both lines always be there. Yeah this ram man may be the best one but maybe the could included another weapon like they did for origins.

I like the heads and overall design. I too remember getting that first Ram man as a kid in 83. Those figures were the coolest thing and memories to this day. It's totally about the Nastalgia now! Who would have thought 40 years later we would have so many cool options now like The Classics, Origins and Masterverse for figures like Ram man and so many other core characters. You can always use the Origins Ram man weapons in the Masterverse hands. You might have to put some take if they are too loose. But still looks cool👍

Man, I just picked Ram Man up at Target over the weekend and I am so disappointed 😢. The entire upper body and accessories are perfect! But, those rubber pants are terrible. Even the ankle articulation is better than every Masterverse figure I've had before. Why didn't they just make sculpted plastic legs???!!! I have to return him but man, this was so close to perfect.

The rubber pants are interesting in concept. But they are gonna be nothing but problems down the road if not now out of the box. I had a few figures with rubber arms or legs from Mcfarlane that are 20 years old almost. Some help up others did not. It depends on how the rubber was manufactured and how often the joints were moved. How the figure was stored and things like that. The rubber pants are a bad spot for that material. Mine seems ok, and it looks good. But I'm not sure how it will be in the long run.. Why are you returning him? Is there an issue now, or do you just not want the figure with Rubber parts?
@@Themanchlid I'm returning him because the rubber pants obstruct the weird knee articulation and they will undoubtedly degrade in the coming years. One of the knee joints is weak on mine as well. 🤦 Such a great figure besides those rubber pants.

Great review, but guaranteed that the rubber sheath on the legs will degrade over the years and either become a sticky mess, or just dry-rot. Kind of sad. I like the effort, but I wish it would have been a different choice.
Yeah I have to agree with you on that. It might be best to leave it in card or use Talcon powder with a brush on the rubber to stop some of the degrading with time. I have a few figures with rubber that's 20 years old. The best thing is to keep them out of direct Sun light, Heat and high humity. Never store them in attic or places light that. My figures have been ok to this point. The ones I didn't do as I mentioned became sticky and did break down. Aside that. It's still a really cool Ram man for the Masterverse line. I’m getting that mastersverse Ram-Man, but in my opinion the classics design and sculpt wins by a long shot. The the new blue armor and shredder mask looks ridiculous to my eyes 🤷🏼♂️
The Classics will always be one of the best figures going back to the Vintage Nastalgia but Modernized for the adult collectors. My only complaint with the Classics is both heads have shut eyes or very squinty. The Masters Ram man has a really cool Face sculpt and articulation over the Classics. They are both cool figures though. What's nice with the Masterverse is you don't have to use those other accessories. Just keep him tradicional! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍

Man master verse is putting to shame marvel and McFarland DC and spawn better figures more bang for my buck
The Masterverse is doing a really great job with these figures. The articulation feel good compared to Mcfarlane Spawn figures that can't stand up most of the time.
