Proper explanation for why rice water has to be in the middle. I am under the impression that the clay is low because if they add more, it will be tooooooooo much for most consumers. If one wants a deeper detox, possibly leave it on longer. When I make a clay mask, I make it according to the client's texture, hair health and elasticity. I can tell you, this not easy. I get surprised when companies try to put out a one size fits all, because, that is almost impossible.

Yes I agree with you! I actually like this line this was my first time trying a clay mask so I didn’t really know what to expect but I’ll use it again and the moisture milk is good too! It feels more moisturizing than the avocado hair milk they have. Great review! Can always count on you to let a company know how you feel & what could be changed while saying it respectfully 👏🏾

Love your videos and your approach to how you present the products! If I could recommend Mielle products (I can’t use them because my scalp is so sensitive 😭) I’d recommend the Mongongo oil deep conditioner. It’s protein free so you can use it on the days you need more softness but GIRL IT IS SO MOISTURIZING! I miss it. You’re gonna love it.

I only used the spray from the collection. I use it in replace of my water spray bottle. So I use it as like a spray leave in to dampen my hair for styles. And over about three weeks I feel like the hair in nape of my neck has gotten thicker.

I’m glad you gave a honest review of this product. I ordered it during the sale but have not used it yet because of the reviews and the owner’s response. Now that I know to use it as a CoWash I will try it out soon. I’ll use the shine spray on wet hair with the moisturizer before I use a styler and see what happens. So, I bought this line. The rice water clay detox....I have no idea why I bought it. My hair is relaxed... stripped my lil ol relaxer right off. Great on the body, not on relaxed hair...lol. But I love mielle products
The clay mask i like, i added an extra scoop of rhassoul clay because i know my hair needs and it worked out fine.. I used the milk and my hair was fine, i took my twist down, and used it to refresh with the same twist butte and my hair horrible! I washed it out and tried it again.. the next week and same thing happened.. now my hair is in some sort of protein overload! My curl pattern changed and everything.. don’t get me wrong i like having strengthened hair but it also pointed out my damaged areas 🥴 I’ve been cutting them out because they don’t blend! I like the serum it softens my hair! I never used the shine spray! I gave the milk to my husband to use since he was out of his fav and he was so pissed at me! He went to get a hair cut and everything because he said it dried his beard out and set him back on his goals! I felt so bad.. that’s my truth I’ve been scared to say it anywhere in fear i get attacked by the Mielle minions i mean mavens. And it’s crazy cuz i go hard for Mielle! Well “went”
I'm 43 years old and a certified product junkie. I've been relaxed and natural. My hair is currently thriving. I can tell you for facts the only thing that has EVER worked on my split ends is Redken Extreme Anti-snap leave in. And I've used a loooooot of products in my day 😂😂 Edit. Also Olaplex.

I added clay to the mask and I actually really like it. The moisturizing milk was trash. My hair appeared to smooth and shiny and moisturized at first. Plus I added the pomegranate and honey smoothie, day two may hair was dry dry dry. I didn’t realize that both the hair milk and the smoothie have silicones, my hair hasn’t felt so dry. These split end treatments are a rip off because we all know to treat split ends is to cut them Off.
An important thing to understand about ingredient formulations is that an active ingredient does not need to be in high concentration for it to be effective. Sometimes having less of an ingredient makes is more effective and having too much of it makes it irritating. As it relates to clay it is places based on how much dry clay (clay only) is in the product. But if you’ve ever done a diy clay mask you know you really don’t need a lot because once you add water it will expand to absorb the water.

I’m glad you gave a honest review of this product. I ordered it during the sale but have not used it yet because of the reviews and the owner’s response. Now that I know to use it as a CoWash I will try it out soon. I’ll use the shine spray on wet hair with the moisturizer before I use a styler and see what happens. I spent my coins so I’m going to try it out now based on your review. Thanks for being honest!!!

Thank you two explaining because I don’t like conwashes. I prefer to wash and deep conditioning with the Bassou product. I want to try the braid itch gel and the moisturizing milk. I just ordered yesterday.

I used the clay masque on week old dry hair (little to no water added) and put a cap over it and my hair felt AMAZINGGGGG!

So, I bought this line. The rice water clay detox....I have no idea why I bought it. My hair is relaxed... stripped my lil ol relaxer right off. Great on the body, not on relaxed hair...lol. But I love mielle products

The clay mask i like, i added an extra scoop of rhassoul clay because i know my hair needs and it worked out fine..
I used the milk and my hair was fine, i took my twist down, and used it to refresh with the same twist butte and my hair horrible! I washed it out and tried it again.. the next week and same thing happened.. now my hair is in some sort of protein overload! My curl pattern changed and everything.. don’t get me wrong i like having strengthened hair but it also pointed out my damaged areas 🥴 I’ve been cutting them out because they don’t blend!
I like the serum it softens my hair! I never used the shine spray!
I gave the milk to my husband to use since he was out of his fav and he was so pissed at me! He went to get a hair cut and everything because he said it dried his beard out and set him back on his goals! I felt so bad.. that’s my truth I’ve been scared to say it anywhere in fear i get attacked by the Mielle minions i mean mavens. And it’s crazy cuz i go hard for Mielle! Well “went”

I'm 43 years old and a certified product junkie. I've been relaxed and natural. My hair is currently thriving. I can tell you for facts the only thing that has EVER worked on my split ends is Redken Extreme Anti-snap leave in. And I've used a loooooot of products in my day 😂😂

I would say, after using a detoxifier(like a chelating shampoo), I would follow up with a moisturizing shampoo and moisturizing treatment/conditioner.

I added clay to the mask and I actually really like it. The moisturizing milk was trash. My hair appeared to smooth and shiny and moisturized at first. Plus I added the pomegranate and honey smoothie, day two may hair was dry dry dry. I didn’t realize that both the hair milk and the smoothie have silicones, my hair hasn’t felt so dry. These split end treatments are a rip off because we all know to treat split ends is to cut them Off.
An important thing to understand about ingredient formulations is that an active ingredient does not need to be in high concentration for it to be effective. Sometimes having less of an ingredient makes is more effective and having too much of it makes it irritating. As it relates to clay it is places based on how much dry clay (clay only) is in the product. But if you’ve ever done a diy clay mask you know you really don’t need a lot because once you add water it will expand to absorb the water.
