I can tell you exactly where the owner got offended. The part when she said "Monique, you not about to play with me this was a money grab". That right there was the problem. She doesn't know that lady on a personal level to address her like that. She went from reviewing the product to calling that lady out personally. I really hate to be negative but when the brand owner brought her tail into these comments yesterday going back and forth with people it put a very sour taste in my mouth about Mielle! I already gave away the few products I own from the brand won’t be repurchasing from her for awhile. Ambra! PRECISELY! I was very disappointed and turned off.. I may have still purchased the items to try it...but how she got up in the comments I was very appalled. Nobody is saying you didn’t work hard to get where you did but if you think someone is being vindictive make sure that their story isn’t corroborated by other independent users. Honestly, this is a great review. I am a business owner in the hair industry and she gave A LOT of information that can be used to better the product. Additionally - to top it off she’s only ONE person. Getting this type of feedback usually requires several focus groups. It may not have been a raving review but the owner has some legitimate feedback on various levels she could use to better the product.

All I can say is when products are really good they don’t usually require a lot of work or specific techniques, brands are a little too quick to hop on a trend before really perfecting a product.... this line contains a “clay mask” that requires a deep conditioner follow up but there isn’t one in the line? Strange lol there are a TON of clay mask on the market some good some bad but the brand owner coming to the comment section is just so petty and childish.... not everyone is gonna have the same results with products 😒😒😒

I watched every minute of this. The end results...I......wow. What I’m noticing is the sponsored post, the influencers are doing styles like mini twists and rod sets. But most naturals tend to do wash and go’s. I have so many thoughts. I said I was going to ignore this collection but this video has given me a lot to say (and it ain’t good). I’m definitely going to buy it when it comes in stock. This was a really good video.

At any rate, when I saw how far down on the ingredient list rice water was listed, i knew not to get it based on that. I could not understand it being marketed as such. Companies know what the latest craze is and play on customer’s current interests. And the split end treatment, really?
Okay so my mom bought 5 masks, 3 leave-ins, 2 serums, and a shine mist. I have high porosity fine low density type 4 hair, and since this is a rice water (protein) collection I was excited. So I tried the leave-in expecting it to give me avocado moisture milk and that was not the case. My (high porosity protein loving) hair felt so stiff. I was in shock. I couldn’t even detangle. I’m about to go check the ingredients (I think there’s silicons in it) after your review. Anyway, mom absolutely loves this collection. She has low porosity course high density type 3 hair. Her hair did the complete opposite of mine: it was soft and easy to detangle. She puts more heat on her hair than me also .
I came here just to see what the issue is to make it sue-able and I don't see an issue. It seems like you gave an honest review and everyone has the right to their opinion. I guarantee she's not suing people who give the line praise so it's not about the name usage. She got her feelings hurt over a mediocre product and instead of fixing it or the instructions to make them more easily followed (since that's her stance), she's chosen to go after her clientele. Thank you for your honest review. I just don’t fool with Mielle. Their products don’t work for me and I don’t like that they change the formulas of some of their products without notice and fill them with cones. I’ve just not been impressed with their line.
Right! They get you hooked, then try to slip in and change the products with cheaper ingredients and hope that you never realize it. This is why I never throw my very first bottle, jar or tube away from any products. I keep them in a special storage bin. I like to check back and see if any ingredients have changed. If they have negative changes, the products are cancelled. 🚫
I’ve tried their products as well and they didn’t do anything for me either. It is what it is. They should know how curly hair works and it’s a hit or miss. This was a miss....

This is why I love my Linda baby. Can always rely on you to be real. I'm not gonna lie, I ordered as soon as I got the notification. I am a product junky lol, but honestly I have never ever seen your hair look this way. This ain't it! It's honestly annoying to me because I do love them and their company, but this release was rushed and poorly thought out. Where is the shampoo, conditioner and the gel/styler? It was definitely a money grab and I fell victim unfortunately lol. But they need to do better and be thorough in their future releases.

I purchased the same 3 products. I have VERY thick type 3c/4a hair. I used the milk to refresh my old twist out after a few days and it worked well. But my first impression of it was that it reminded me of a less heavy Pink Oil Moisturizer, but to me that that translates into BUILD UP over time. So definitely not a “daily use” product for me, it’s very moisturizing but also felt a bit greasy. I didn’t see this working well for a Wash n Go at all. It may work for twist/ braid outs on some hair types, but definitely with a light hold. As for the serum I have been applying a small amount daily for about a week now, just to re shape my hair when I take off my bonnet. While I won’t call it a miracle worker, I do think it has some strengthening properties against the possibility of future split ends. You can’t repair split ends, but you can prevent them somewhat. I think that’s all the serum does. Luckily I’m only out of $5 each for these. I definitely won’t purchase again.
As many times as I’ve walked past some “mielle” and not had even a single urge to give it more than a glance, no matter how many good reviews I’ve heard.... I knew it was something that just repelled me, and chile I think it was the energy.

Hey, y’all! I’m back with this highly requested product review! I am holding strong to my word as I said in my video. This line seems to be geared towards those who love the versatility of heat styling their hair and or relax to texlaxed individuals. This line is jammed pack with a lot of silicones too! Which is why I think it would be great for heat styling individuals. 🗣 This line needs a clarifying shampoo.

Doesn't it state moisturising milk on the label. It's a moisture milk so in my opinion you should use this as a leave in and a refresher. I don t like rice water and i buy any moisture milk from any brand as moisture milk aka leave in or moisturising item. I don t wait for a company to tell me how to use a moisture milk, i buy product for what they contain and not to stick to an entire line. A moisture milk has never been a styling item so if Mielle advertised it as such not sure what they intended. But you are correct this brands have been trying to grab money, and most products that use to be of good quality. Now they use more and more synthetic ingredients and cones.

I almost purchased it until it was sold out after being in my cart for 48 hours! I saw the split end ingredients and saw that it has oils that I already have. I'll just stop at my local black owned store and get some mango hair butter and save on shipping for now. Your hair looks similar to mine so I could imagine me being frustrated with my hair. She was very unprofessional for going back and forth over constructed criticism. IF the product didn’t work it didn’t work simple as that. Not every product works whether it’s skin, hygiene, body or hair isn’t going to work for everybody. You know your hair & you’re familiar with your technique. They may not have liked her delivery after she got done diffusing. However, I think she gave some good constructive criticism for the most part. A little tough love towards the end, but she spent her own money. She can say what she wants if that's what she honestly felt.
Mielle has been really hit or miss with me. I only like the rosemary shampoo and the deep conditioners and the hair milk was nice. Everything else either dried out my hair or just sat on top. I wanted to love the company but all the drama just left a bad taste in my mouth. I have started back using just leave- in conditioner and grease, so that one Mielle product I have will be going in the trash.

Just curious, is the styler meant to be used for wash and gos? A lot of type 4 naturals use heavier products like creams, custards or gels for wash and gos. With that being said, this was still a thorough product review.

well she better Google check her reviews and see there's way more there too on her products. I stopped buying that product 3 years ago after it left my hair sticky, gummy and no hold.
I use oils/serums as a pre-shampoo. It does help protect my ends, minimize my split ends or dryness that leads to breakage and split ends...I don't see that as being entirely wrong. I say it with some reservations... But, on the finished product, it could be your method...there was way too much agitation of the curls...I have been natural for over 20 years...so I have seen the progression--Miss Jessie's, Kinky-Curly...all of them will tell you not to touch the curls ~too ~much until they are completely dry. But it's just a hair milk, not for the hold...styling? yes. holding? no. We know this instinctively, though, from experience. I, personally, think I have never had an award winning wash & go. But I do know that you need hold and you can't get that from a "milk" alone. For your hair type, even with all the agitation, I think it looks good. We also know that a clay mask is a DIY project (quite frankly, so is the rice water treatment itself)...it never involves detangling...clay is used to detoxify, but we know this from experience. It's pink...so that discourages me... Mielle was obligated to give you, a long-time customer, product education. I'm sorry that that it took the turn that it did. It's enough to give everyone, potential customers and dedicated customers, pause...but you also tell everyone to leave a comment. Why not the brand? There were other approaches--thanking you for the feedback...because that's what it was--feedback, and inviting you to a live, or addressing these questions and concerns in a live without alluding to any reviewer's name. Calling you at home was out of order. I hope they have fired that person. (we don't ~know~ that it was her husband for sure)... Someone reviewing their product, with as many subscribers as you have (don't know how many you had before this review), they know you have a lot of reach. I'm sure that's why she came into your comments...in addition to being invited by you, per your instructions and commentary. In any case, they could have taken a different approach. I was looking for reviews about the product...I remember when they launched a few years ago. I have a few of my own go-to products and favorites so I haven't used it yet. But I found all of this. It made me a little sad. I hope you find peace and wish Mielle the best too. Hopefully, this has been a huge learning experience for them about customer service, public relations and ~reacting.~
I'm confused because I never used a clay mask before but heard it works well for my hair type. I'm confused because I thought clay masks were supposed to be used following shampooing. Also I didn't know you had to follow up with a deep conditioner. Is that usually how clay masks work? I'm asking because I hate having to do so many steps. Any low porosity/ 3C people have good results with this
The clay mask is replacing a shampoo you’re not supposed to shampoo and use a clay mask. The clay is technically the shampoo/detox. And yes after clay mask you need to deep condition cuz most of the time it’s detoxifying and drying hope that helps
When I seen people reviewing this collection I wasn’t interested in the least. I love the babassu and mint protein and moisture deep conditioner and that’s about it. When you said money grab I laughed because that’s exactly what I thought with them trying to promote this rice water craze🙄 which I’m not even going to go there on that🤭🤭 I just feel like some of these natural hair companies are letting the all mighty dollar control them instead of being focused on making QUALITY products. That serum is a joke. And mane choice has a split end serum too. You just cut split ends nothing is going to help that. Like really?! And by slapping on rice water or clay mask and having those marketed ingredients at the lower end of the ingredients list🙄 that’s just being money hungry to me and to some naturals it’s probably not a big deal to them but to me that’s what I look for and one of the reasons I passed for this line

I bought the collection, used it once, it dried the hell out of my hair. Tossed it right in the garbage. At this point, I only use their mint almond oil. Never was a true fan of the brand. Plus, she had no business in your comment section.

I really appreciate your review. I just think you used these products incorrectly. The mask usage was fine. After you washed it out it, your hair looks absolutely moisturized and healthy. The moisture milk, however is not a lone styler. Masks usually leave the hair stripped so the moisture milk is to revitalize and restore the lost moisture. The split end therapy is to health repair the ends of your hair not the scalp. The rice water collection is definitely not a full collection as the shampoo has been added recently but you need that conditioner and leave in. I used this collection on my daughters type 3 hair and it worked perfectly when used correctly.

I love Cantu and Mielle honestly. I just heard about this drama after purchasing both products on black Friday. Certain products work for some, but hopefully Linda received an apology. I received my first black Friday 2022 shipment from mielle and was missing an item. It looks like they will correct the wrong, but I'll see. Cantu has thicker, fuller products, but I only use the leave in conditioner. I still use Motions shampoo and that's really it. I tired mielle in 2021, ordered many items but haven't used much. My hair grows more when I don't do much. I'm going to use the hair products I have more often because my hair is doing nothing now.
I just bought the rice water milk moisture I used it as a moisture for my straight natural hair I was very impressed by the way it made my hair feel straight it has moisture in it and it's soft

The owner's behavior was both unconscionable and unprofessional, and I find it to be intolerable. Honestly, this is a great review. I am a business owner in the hair industry and she gave A LOT of information that can be used to better the product. Additionally - to top it off she’s only ONE person. Getting this type of feedback usually requires several focus groups. It may not have been a raving review but the owner has some legitimate feedback on various levels she could use to better the product.

All I can say is when products are really good they don’t usually require a lot of work or specific techniques, brands are a little too quick to hop on a trend before really perfecting a product.... this line contains a “clay mask” that requires a deep conditioner follow up but there isn’t one in the line? Strange lol there are a TON of clay mask on the market some good some bad but the brand owner coming to the comment section is just so petty and childish.... not everyone is gonna have the same results with products 😒😒😒

I watched every minute of this. The end results...I......wow. What I’m noticing is the sponsored post, the influencers are doing styles like mini twists and rod sets. But most naturals tend to do wash and go’s. I have so many thoughts. I said I was going to ignore this collection but this video has given me a lot to say (and it ain’t good). I’m definitely going to buy it when it comes in stock. This was a really good video.

Great review. I applaud your honesty. I see it didn’t go over well lol. You won’t see any comments less than praise on the IG page either. All of mine were deleted and never responded to. At any rate, when I saw how far down on the ingredient list rice water was listed, i knew not to get it based on that. I could not understand it being marketed as such. Companies know what the latest craze is and play on customer’s current interests. And the split end treatment, really?
Okay so my mom bought 5 masks, 3 leave-ins, 2 serums, and a shine mist. I have high porosity fine low density type 4 hair, and since this is a rice water (protein) collection I was excited. So I tried the leave-in expecting it to give me avocado moisture milk and that was not the case. My (high porosity protein loving) hair felt so stiff. I was in shock. I couldn’t even detangle. I’m about to go check the ingredients (I think there’s silicons in it) after your review. Anyway, mom absolutely loves this collection. She has low porosity course high density type 3 hair. Her hair did the complete opposite of mine: it was soft and easy to detangle. She puts more heat on her hair than me also .
Cyclopentasiloxane is a silicone regularly used in cosmetic products. So this is the culprit that made my hair feel like @$&*!.
I came here just to see what the issue is to make it sue-able and I don't see an issue. It seems like you gave an honest review and everyone has the right to their opinion. I guarantee she's not suing people who give the line praise so it's not about the name usage. She got her feelings hurt over a mediocre product and instead of fixing it or the instructions to make them more easily followed (since that's her stance), she's chosen to go after her clientele. Thank you for your honest review. I just don’t fool with Mielle. Their products don’t work for me and I don’t like that they change the formulas of some of their products without notice and fill them with cones. I’ve just not been impressed with their line.
Right! They get you hooked, then try to slip in and change the products with cheaper ingredients and hope that you never realize it. This is why I never throw my very first bottle, jar or tube away from any products. I keep them in a special storage bin. I like to check back and see if any ingredients have changed. If they have negative changes, the products are cancelled. 🚫

This is why I love my Linda baby. Can always rely on you to be real. I'm not gonna lie, I ordered as soon as I got the notification. I am a product junky lol, but honestly I have never ever seen your hair look this way. This ain't it! It's honestly annoying to me because I do love them and their company, but this release was rushed and poorly thought out. Where is the shampoo, conditioner and the gel/styler? It was definitely a money grab and I fell victim unfortunately lol. But they need to do better and be thorough in their future releases.

I purchased the same 3 products. I have VERY thick type 3c/4a hair. I used the milk to refresh my old twist out after a few days and it worked well. But my first impression of it was that it reminded me of a less heavy Pink Oil Moisturizer, but to me that that translates into BUILD UP over time. So definitely not a “daily use” product for me, it’s very moisturizing but also felt a bit greasy. I didn’t see this working well for a Wash n Go at all. It may work for twist/ braid outs on some hair types, but definitely with a light hold. As for the serum I have been applying a small amount daily for about a week now, just to re shape my hair when I take off my bonnet. While I won’t call it a miracle worker, I do think it has some strengthening properties against the possibility of future split ends. You can’t repair split ends, but you can prevent them somewhat. I think that’s all the serum does. Luckily I’m only out of $5 each for these. I definitely won’t purchase again.

This line seems to be geared towards those who love the versatility of heat styling their hair and or relax to texlaxed individuals. This line is jammed pack with a lot of silicones too! Doesn't it state moisturising milk on the label. It's a moisture milk so in my opinion you should use this as a leave in and a refresher. I don t like rice water and i buy any moisture milk from any brand as moisture milk aka leave in or moisturising item. I don t wait for a company to tell me how to use a moisture milk, i buy product for what they contain and not to stick to an entire line. A moisture milk has never been a styling item so if Mielle advertised it as such not sure what they intended.
But you are correct this brands have been trying to grab money, and most products that use to be of good quality. Now they use more and more synthetic ingredients and cones.

They may not have liked her delivery after she got done diffusing. However, I think she gave some good constructive criticism for the most part. A little tough love towards the end, but she spent her own money. She can say what she wants if that's what she honestly felt.

Mielle has been really hit or miss with me. I only like the rosemary shampoo and the deep conditioners and the hair milk was nice. Everything else either dried out my hair or just sat on top. I wanted to love the company but all the drama just left a bad taste in my mouth. I have started back using just leave- in conditioner and grease, so that one Mielle product I have will be going in the trash.

I use oils/serums as a pre-shampoo. It does help protect my ends, minimize my split ends or dryness that leads to breakage and split ends...I don't see that as being entirely wrong. I say it with some reservations...
But, on the finished product, it could be your method...there was way too much agitation of the curls...I have been natural for over 20 years...so I have seen the progression--Miss Jessie's, Kinky-Curly...all of them will tell you not to touch the curls ~too ~much until they are completely dry. But it's just a hair milk, not for the hold...styling? yes. holding? no. We know this instinctively, though, from experience. I, personally, think I have never had an award winning wash & go. But I do know that you need hold and you can't get that from a "milk" alone. For your hair type, even with all the agitation, I think it looks good.
We also know that a clay mask is a DIY project (quite frankly, so is the rice water treatment itself)...it never involves detangling...clay is used to detoxify, but we know this from experience. It's pink...so that discourages me...
Mielle was obligated to give you, a long-time customer, product education. I'm sorry that that it took the turn that it did. It's enough to give everyone, potential customers and dedicated customers, pause...but you also tell everyone to leave a comment. Why not the brand? There were other approaches--thanking you for the feedback...because that's what it was--feedback, and inviting you to a live, or addressing these questions and concerns in a live without alluding to any reviewer's name. Calling you at home was out of order. I hope they have fired that person. (we don't ~know~ that it was her husband for sure)...
Someone reviewing their product, with as many subscribers as you have (don't know how many you had before this review), they know you have a lot of reach. I'm sure that's why she came into your comments...in addition to being invited by you, per your instructions and commentary. In any case, they could have taken a different approach.
I was looking for reviews about the product...I remember when they launched a few years ago. I have a few of my own go-to products and favorites so I haven't used it yet. But I found all of this. It made me a little sad. I hope you find peace and wish Mielle the best too. Hopefully, this has been a huge learning experience for them about customer service, public relations and ~reacting.~

The clay mask is replacing a shampoo you’re not supposed to shampoo and use a clay mask. The clay is technically the shampoo/detox. And yes after clay mask you need to deep condition cuz most of the time it’s detoxifying and drying hope that helps

When I seen people reviewing this collection I wasn’t interested in the least. I love the babassu and mint protein and moisture deep conditioner and that’s about it. When you said money grab I laughed because that’s exactly what I thought with them trying to promote this rice water craze🙄 which I’m not even going to go there on that🤭🤭 I just feel like some of these natural hair companies are letting the all mighty dollar control them instead of being focused on making QUALITY products. That serum is a joke. And mane choice has a split end serum too. You just cut split ends nothing is going to help that. Like really?! And by slapping on rice water or clay mask and having those marketed ingredients at the lower end of the ingredients list🙄 that’s just being money hungry to me and to some naturals it’s probably not a big deal to them but to me that’s what I look for and one of the reasons I passed for this line
Btw the split end serum is actually meant for preventing split ends, not fixing them
Only product I use is that deep conditioner too
@@joymompi7609 you don’t mess with split ends just trim every 6 month call it a day! The whole natural hair product and companies are going nuts because we buy these product they come up with. I am going back to department store shampoo and conditioner am sure I will see better results!

I bought the collection, used it once, it dried the hell out of my hair. Tossed it right in the garbage. At this point, I only use their mint almond oil. Never was a true fan of the brand. Plus, she had no business in your comment section.
I got mine in the mail Thursday. Only got the milk and clay ! Maybe it might work on a twist out. If not I’ll give it away I’m in Louisiana tooo 🤦🏽♀️I had a feeling it would suck but I couldn’t pass up $5 even though I didn’t like the ingredients!

I literally just got done with my washout using this line & was wondering if it was just me 😒 I can say this is the only line of hers I tried that was disappointing - maybe is best for 2c or 3a? Unfortunately, I did fall in love with the babassu collection but I’m already stocked up on that. Time to find a new brand 🤷🏽♀️
I really appreciate your review. I just think you used these products incorrectly. The mask usage was fine. After you washed it out it, your hair looks absolutely moisturized and healthy. The moisture milk, however is not a lone styler. Masks usually leave the hair stripped so the moisture milk is to revitalize and restore the lost moisture. The split end therapy is to health repair the ends of your hair not the scalp. The rice water collection is definitely not a full collection as the shampoo has been added recently but you need that conditioner and leave in. I used this collection on my daughters type 3 hair and it worked perfectly when used correctly.

I love Cantu and Mielle honestly. I just heard about this drama after purchasing both products on black Friday. Certain products work for some, but hopefully Linda received an apology. I received my first black Friday 2022 shipment from mielle and was missing an item. It looks like they will correct the wrong, but I'll see. Cantu has thicker, fuller products, but I only use the leave in conditioner. I still use Motions shampoo and that's really it. I tired mielle in 2021, ordered many items but haven't used much. My hair grows more when I don't do much. I'm going to use the hair products I have more often because my hair is doing nothing now.

I just bought the rice water milk moisture I used it as a moisture for my straight natural hair I was very impressed by the way it made my hair feel straight it has moisture in it and it's soft
