Oh my gosh, Val! I have a big crush on your tree! Every single detail is simply amazing. I am thrilled you joined us on this playlist, and I sure hope you will join us for Round #2! Great job!!
Oh wow, the glowing ember effect from the orange and red paint against the black is SO cool! This is very impressive! As far as future craft videos, I'd love to see a mix of smaller and larger crafts. Honestly, though, whatever size crafts make you happiest, I will happily watch the videos for!
Thank you! I'm so happy you like the result. There's a lot of contrast on that tree, that's for sure. 👹 And thank you for answering my question. I think I'm going to try both and see how I feel about that.
This is my favorite craft you’ve done! This is so fantastic. The drybrush technique on the bark was a risk that really paid off! I don’t think you have to do super involved crafts every time, but I certainly appreciate the more involved ones.
Thank you!!! That makes me so happy! 🤡 At one point, I was ready to give up (because I didn't like where things were going). But when I changed the position of his arms, I was motivated again! And you're right, the paint job made a big difference. Thanks for your answers. I pretty much have the same opinion as you.
Hi Val, lots of comments here. First of all, you look great and I feel like something changed in your background. It's even looking better than before. I just love it. Now on to that tree. First of all, you talked about tools. If you don't already have one, I'm going to recommend you get a Dremel with an accessory kit. There is so much you can do with that drilling cutting grinding it does it all. The tree is amazing! It's so funny. I watched you say you save that tube as you saw a future project in it. I get a tube like that and I throw it in the garbage. You have such a good eye for stuff like this. I'm so happy you changed the arms. They look so much better. What really makes this guy pop is your paint job. That orange against the black is just perfect. It just pops so perfectly and having the extra faces there and then coming back and highlighting the tree. Just really brought it all to life. As always, fantastic job! Thanks for sharing this project.
Thank you so much Mark! Yes, I changed a couple of things in my studio, and (as always) I'm experimenting with lights. 🕯️ I'm getting somewhere. Thanks for the tools recommendation! 🧡 That's awesome! Exactly what I need. I will buy one of those for sure. I'm super happy you like how everything turned out. I was really inspired by that project. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts with me!
This tree is amazing! Really great job on it. The texture looks perfect and I love the colors you chose. So cool. Honestly, the best videos are ones you are inspired to make, so mix up the big and small projects as it suits your own desire. People love to see artists at work, so whatever you choose to make, if your heart is in it, people will watch. Another great video!
Thanks, this is so nice of you!!! I love your videos, too. I think you're right. As long as I have fun and create things with my heart, it's going to work.
Love this ! I was thinking since you pretty much resculpted the skulls you probably could have used balls of the foil in the holes and added tape and then the clay eliminating the skulls. Love the colors and all the texture! the skulls
Thank you! Yes, you're right! That's a good idea. I was not familiar with Celluclay. For small details like this, it's easier to start from scratch. But for the big skull (and the medium one), it was helpful to have them as a base.
Wow Val, this is so cool! People would totaly buy these. Great work! Your talent does not disappoint, I tell Jamie all the time, you can never have too many skulls😁
Thank you, my friend!!! You're so sweet! My husband told me it looked like a prop you could find at Spirit Halloween. Haha! My god, you're so right!!! Skulls are the best. The more, the better! 💀
Wow Val!! Amazing spooky tree!!! 😵💫💖💖💖 I love him, cool and creepy and ready for Halloween! Thanks so much for joining our Twisted Sisters collab, so glad you did. DM me or Monica we are doing another Halloween collab called Halloween Town. Would love to have you be part of it! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend my friend.🤗
I'm so glad you like it! Your concept was amazing. It was a fun idea! Thanks for the invite, I will see how it fits with my schedule. 🔮 It was a pleasure to be a part of this collab, that's for sure!
Fabulous sculpture Val, love your creative use of materials. Put together like a professional❤️glad you are were apart of the Playlist and look forward to seeing what you create in the future!
I say celebrate big and small projects, its cool to see things that folks can replicate and some time its just cool to see an exibition of your work so i say mix it up, both methods create Inspiration non the less
Yes, I think you're right! Sometimes, I'd like to make things that people can do at home. So I think I'm going to try a little bit of both. But in the end, I just want to inspire people (and put them in a creative mood). 🧟
This is brilliant! I absolutely love this idea and what a cool creation! Thank you so much for joining us new subscriber to your channel and I love all things spooky and cute!😊 And I had never seen that paper mache product that you used. I have to look into that
Thank you so much! 🖤 What you did was pretty cool, too! I was really impressed by your video. Yes, you should really check it out! It's a great product, and it becomes lighter as it dries.
Hi Val, FANTASTIC PROJECT. Your detailing is awesome. First time watching your channel. It was very enjoyable. You're very creative. Halloween all year, YAY. ❤😊Linda
I only wanted to use the skulls as a base for sculpting. I was not using them, anyway. To create the face of my creature, it was very helpful. I still personalized it with an open mouth, smiling. Which I think was a lot more creepy! For the smaller skulls, it was way harder... It was like sculpting from scratch, you're right! Because the texture of the celluclay is very chunky (and not smooth), it was hard to work on smaller details. But it was my first time using that product, so I didn't know that. I guess that's the beauty of creating, making mistakes and discoveries! Thanks for watching!!!
@@treatortreat it worked out really well! I guess what I meant to say was- hey girl, you are talented enough to sculpt those faces yourself from scratch!❤️
Oh my gosh, Val! I have a big crush on your tree! Every single detail is simply amazing. I am thrilled you joined us on this playlist, and I sure hope you will join us for Round #2! Great job!!
You're so nice Traci! Thank you so much!!!
I'm glad I was a part of that collab, thanks for everything. 🦉
Wow amazing
Thanks a lot 😊
A mixture of big and small is wonderful
Thank you! Yes, I will try both 😊.
Val that tree is fabulous. Such creativity. I need to try this.
Thank you! Yes, you should. 🎃 I'm sure it would looks fantastic.
This tree is fabulous love the paint that looks like embers. 💕
Thank you! 🧡
😱🙌 It’s absolutely magical, Val!! From the design and texture to the vibrant color scheme, I am completely blown away!!👏👏👏👏😄💫
Aww, thank you Fraidy! It turned out way better than I thought it would. Lol! 😝 I'm also really into those neon colors. They are so fun!
Love the tree! What simple cute and adorable tree!!
Thanks, I'm so glad you like it!

Thank you so much! 🕷
Great! I'm currently working on a easier DIY (to embellish your room)!
Great job!😮
Thank you very much! 🎃
Spooktacular Val, I have been wanting to make a fake spooky tree coming out of my wall in my craftroom. I must do this now. Hugs
Thanks! Knowing that you'd like to try that crafting makes me so happy!!!

Thanks to you for watching! 👻
Hi ❤🎉
Hello! Thanks for watching!
Seems crazy to use bought skulls when you were going to cover them all over and resculpt them anyway?! But the final result looks good.
I only wanted to use the skulls as a base for sculpting. I was not using them, anyway.
