Because the defense (Amber) has to prove in any way they can, that Amber's op-ed had NOTHING to do with him losing that movie role. So they used someone from Disney that had absolutely nothing to do with the decision making on such an issue and tried to portray her as having decision making or knowledge to why he wasn't hired for the role...even though she even said during her testimony herself that she knew nothing and had no power to know any of what the defense was trying to assert.

This is a great example of why lawyers need to know who can testify about what. What is astounding is that even after the Disney rep basically told them she could give them about the same info as someone updating the IMDb database, Elaine still continues to ask questions about things that are beyond her job description.

I thought potential witnesses get to do depositions first and they get shortlisted by the lawyers as to who can testify during the trial without changing their testimonies as they were made under oath. Knowing the Disney's rep from the deposition she previously made, which was nothing increminating really, Elaine still chose to put her on trial as she didn't have other option.
I think paying attention to the Jury is important though. There was another video of a guy who was in the courtroom during Ambers's testimony (stayed up for hours to get in line) and was taking notes on the mood/Jury. He said the entire courtroom and the people in line were mostly pro Depp (very little amber supports come to the trial itself). So going into the room the mood is already on Johnnys side which Amber and her lawyers have to deal with. Amber also constantly tries to look for people in the crowd and on the Jury for someone to look sympathetic to her. If they are she will keep looking at only them. (The guy said that She kept looking towards 2 spots in the Jury, one with 2 Asian women, and the only other spot with a woman along 2 caucasian men) However, these people were not giving her what she wants (including the 3 women she constantly keeps trying to look at). He said not a single person on the Jury had their shoulders facing Amber during her testimony with the closest Juror actually having his hand on the side of his face looking away towards the lawyer's podium. She was attempting to cry and get emotional and not a single Juror had a face other than deadpan. The Asian woman in the top right of the Jury (closest to Amber) was spinning her chair back and forth during her testimony like you would when you are bored, as well as not making eye contact. It's clear to see that they also thought she was lying and didn't want to deal with her anymore after already being there for 2 weeks. Most if not all of the Jury are probably all on Johnny's side, it just depends on if they can actually prove defamation. If they can't then they are probably more ticked off knowing the verdict they will have to deliver is against their beliefs.
What I love is that AH’s team only has 8 hours left (Thanks to Elaine’s long winded boomerang questioning) and Johnny’s team has 18 hours left. Hopefully, we can bring in rebuttal witnesses and Jennifer Howell.

Yes! By Depp stepping forward he may help countless men or women and even save some lives! He didn't have much choice...he had to defend himself and his reputation!. If he hadn't Amber probably could of taken all his assets, money, reputation and future jobs! This may be carthartic-is that right word?-for Depp since his mom abused him during his childhood. This may help Johnny Depp in healing if he remains in counselling. His childhood trauma and Amber's abuse of Depp are connected. You subconsciously choose someone whose behavior feels familiar and comfortable...not aware of abuse to come. It's absolutely absurd what Ellen Barkin testifies about a relationship with Mr. Depp some 30 years ago!! She had a screw loose herself... I'm a much different person in demeanor and emotions than I was 30 years ago. I believe Amber Heard is/was a person who loves to push someone to the brink of inappropriate behavior. I have a daughter who has done this to countless men for years. Amber displays all the markers for love but destroy relationship.

What I found really interesting about Ellen’s testimony is that, on top of showing that his drug and alcohol problems have gone on for decades, with no affect on his career, she also says he didn’t change when using. Heards team and friends have asserted that they and Johnny would refer to his Monster, which they’ve linked to him when he’s using drugs or drunk.They’ve also said that when he was Sober, he was perfect and kind and everything else. But at this point we’ve had multiple people say that he didn’t really change much when he was on these things, other than the typical being high response.
Drugs don't change people that much ,I've been using since the 5 the grade ,but I've never been violent or angry or any of that shit they Talkin about , if u aren't an angry person ,drugs won't make u angry.drug money and Fame only amplify what u r already are ,they don't birth new characteristics. I was never a JD fan. I mean I enjoyed some of his work but never went out of my way to view his work. Being a survivor of DV this makes me sick. True JD is an alcoholic and a user of drugs. However each incident has been proceeded by AH caging him in a corner. Having my ex do that to me, not letting me leave his toxic arguments, I myself have pushed and lashed out just to get away. AH is clearly the abuser in the situation. Gaslighting and pushing JD past his limits when he would do anything to get away. I am not saying blows weren’t thrown. I was not there… however, I truly believe that if he did it was because he was cornered and was trying to get away. Clearly there is definitely verbal and emotional abuse done to JD. Which in a lot of ways is worse than the physical. So yeah… I am on JD’s side… This is why men don’t step up when they are abused.
As a survive for a DV I agree 100% with your analysis of how the situation seems to come across. Also when I was being abused even if it was just verbally at the time I would never ever taunt my ex because I knew how quickly the verbal could turn physical. And the only thing that was keeping me in that position was I was a teenager I truly did not know that that was not OK and as soon as I got old enough to realize I got away as quick as possible. She was an adult with money with plenty of friends that she could’ve easily of gotten away if it was truly happening. She has come across very much as the aggressor and she’s admitted to hitting him and anytime he says it to her she downplays it like it ain’t abuse because she’s a woman and since she can’t physically hurt him as bad that it don’t count. I was a fan of Johnny’s since the first time I seen crybaby when I was very young. Therefore I feel I have a biased look at it I’ve tried to be very open minded to it and there were times to where I did questions things but at the end of the day the evidence speaks the truth and it has proven that Amber was an abuser and she purposely went out of her way to do what she could to defame Johnny and ruin his credibility in his career

I had zero interest in any of this until it was being covered by some body language experts… The one that pulled me in was dissecting the video of JD beating up the cabinets. If u watch the video u will see in the beginning when the recording first stars Amber is walking in the door from outside, she noticed he was upset about something and took the opportunity to get some more fake evidence. I heard his mother passed away around that time and he had just found out that he lost millions of dollars because of mismanagement of his finances so obviously he had reason to be upset and every right to be upset in his own home alone!! Amber is Cleary gaslighting and antagonizing him in the video too. She says I just woke up, we didn't have a fight today u know that right? All I said was sorry 😞. I noticed a few things about this, one is she did not just wake up, she was coming home from being out somewhere with a big coffee in her hand, her purse around her shoulder and fully dressed so no, she did not just wake up. Second she says we didn't fight today u know that right? So here she is trying to make it seem like he is crazy and flipping out for no reason on her!!!! But she had nothing to do with it and he even says to her did anything happen to u today??? No I don't think so! Also she said all I did was say sorry! So again If she is saying they didn't have a fight today then what was she saying sorry for?? Then he is pouring wine and the bottle I'd almost empty and she says did u drink all of this already...today?? She was trying to make it seem like he drank a whole bottle of wine that early in the day which is also why she made sure to say she supposedly just woke up! So she could make her story's about his drinking seem more believable. So she is clearly very calculating. She also smirks at the end of the video after Johnny threw her phone when he caught her sneaky ass secretly recording him, she picks it up and she has that cocktail smirk on her face.

Character witnesses are important in civil trials, so given her past relationship with JD it only makes sense that one of the sides would call her in to get a description of johnny's behavior when they were together to try and use that as proof of, in this case, Johnny having a history of jealousy and violence. Not that well tbh, but you'd be stupid not to try and get testimony from her.

This is a great example of why lawyers need to know who can testify about what. What is astounding is that even after the Disney rep basically told them she could give them about the same info as someone updating the IMDb database, Elaine still continues to ask questions about things that are beyond her job description.
A normal lawyer doesn't ask a question they don't already know the answer to (barring perjury of course). I don't understand how this lady is still employed if this is how she typically handles cases.

I thought potential witnesses get to do depositions first and they get shortlisted by the lawyers as to who can testify during the trial without changing their testimonies as they were made under oath. Knowing the Disney's rep from the deposition she previously made, which was nothing increminating really, Elaine still chose to put her on trial as she didn't have other option.
I think paying attention to the Jury is important though. There was another video of a guy who was in the courtroom during Ambers's testimony (stayed up for hours to get in line) and was taking notes on the mood/Jury.
He said the entire courtroom and the people in line were mostly pro Depp (very little amber supports come to the trial itself). So going into the room the mood is already on Johnnys side which Amber and her lawyers have to deal with. Amber also constantly tries to look for people in the crowd and on the Jury for someone to look sympathetic to her. If they are she will keep looking at only them. (The guy said that She kept looking towards 2 spots in the Jury, one with 2 Asian women, and the only other spot with a woman along 2 caucasian men)
However, these people were not giving her what she wants (including the 3 women she constantly keeps trying to look at). He said not a single person on the Jury had their shoulders facing Amber during her testimony with the closest Juror actually having his hand on the side of his face looking away towards the lawyer's podium. She was attempting to cry and get emotional and not a single Juror had a face other than deadpan. The Asian woman in the top right of the Jury (closest to Amber) was spinning her chair back and forth during her testimony like you would when you are bored, as well as not making eye contact.
It's clear to see that they also thought she was lying and didn't want to deal with her anymore after already being there for 2 weeks. Most if not all of the Jury are probably all on Johnny's side, it just depends on if they can actually prove defamation. If they can't then they are probably more ticked off knowing the verdict they will have to deliver is against their beliefs.

Yes! By Depp stepping forward he may help countless men or women and even save some lives! He didn't have much choice...he had to defend himself and his reputation!. If he hadn't Amber probably could of taken all his assets, money, reputation and future jobs! This may be carthartic-is that right word?-for Depp since his mom abused him during his childhood. This may help Johnny Depp in healing if he remains in counselling. His childhood trauma and Amber's abuse of Depp are connected. You subconsciously choose someone whose behavior feels familiar and comfortable...not aware of abuse to come. Some people like myself don't even remember the abuse until later in life when my alcohol and drug abuse became unbearable. Depp hopefully will be able to stop his alcohol and drug abuse. Depp stopped that "cycle of violence" but imo Amber should be charged with asssult, assault with injury, lying under oath, misuse of 911 calls x2, loss of income and great financial loss due to court, lawyers and other charges plus he had to meet her demands from court cases. Maybe a separate case for assault charges??? Some demands I heard of: pay off her debts, give her one penthouse or more, a Tesla car or cars and not sure what else! A home? Cash? 7 mil from 1st case. For the prenup testimony. Imagine being shocked that someone calls you a bitch. Because the clauses you put in place are to bleed that person dry. I get having settlement, but purposely having it so any future jobs he takes up after a divorce, she gets a cut of it is ridiculous. She’s not entitled to anything after they divorce, and settlement is given. So yes, that prenup lawyer is a what Johnny said she is. She offended because he is correct in his statement

I was not there… however, I truly believe that if he did it was because he was cornered and was trying to get away. Clearly there is definitely verbal and emotional abuse done to JD. Which in a lot of ways is worse than the physical. So yeah… I am on JD’s side… This is why men don’t step up when they are abused.

As a survive for a DV I agree 100% with your analysis of how the situation seems to come across. Also when I was being abused even if it was just verbally at the time I would never ever taunt my ex because I knew how quickly the verbal could turn physical. And the only thing that was keeping me in that position was I was a teenager I truly did not know that that was not OK and as soon as I got old enough to realize I got away as quick as possible. She was an adult with money with plenty of friends that she could’ve easily of gotten away if it was truly happening. She has come across very much as the aggressor and she’s admitted to hitting him and anytime he says it to her she downplays it like it ain’t abuse because she’s a woman and since she can’t physically hurt him as bad that it don’t count. I was a fan of Johnny’s since the first time I seen crybaby when I was very young. Therefore I feel I have a biased look at it I’ve tried to be very open minded to it and there were times to where I did questions things but at the end of the day the evidence speaks the truth and it has proven that Amber was an abuser and she purposely went out of her way to do what she could to defame Johnny and ruin his credibility in his career

The one that pulled me in was dissecting the video of JD beating up the cabinets.
The body language guy, pointed out that all of JD anger was directed away from her…and never towards her. That’s a far cry from an abusive nan who hits you, as she was and is Alleging.
He was actually alone initially. If u watch the video u will see in the beginning when the recording first stars Amber is walking in the door from outside, she noticed he was upset about something and took the opportunity to get some more fake evidence. I heard his mother passed away around that time and he had just found out that he lost millions of dollars because of mismanagement of his finances so obviously he had reason to be upset and every right to be upset in his own home alone!! Amber is Cleary gaslighting and antagonizing him in the video too. She says I just woke up, we didn't have a fight today u know that right? All I said was sorry 😞. I noticed a few things about this, one is she did not just wake up, she was coming home from being out somewhere with a big coffee in her hand, her purse around her shoulder and fully dressed so no, she did not just wake up. Second she says we didn't fight today u know that right? So here she is trying to make it seem like he is crazy and flipping out for no reason on her!!!! But she had nothing to do with it and he even says to her did anything happen to u today??? No I don't think so! Also she said all I did was say sorry! So again If she is saying they didn't have a fight today then what was she saying sorry for?? Then he is pouring wine and the bottle I'd almost empty and she says did u drink all of this already...today?? She was trying to make it seem like he drank a whole bottle of wine that early in the day which is also why she made sure to say she supposedly just woke up! So she could make her story's about his drinking seem more believable. So she is clearly very calculating. She also smirks at the end of the video after Johnny threw her phone when he caught her sneaky ass secretly recording him, she picks it up and she has that cocktail smirk on her face.

Character witnesses are important in civil trials, so given her past relationship with JD it only makes sense that one of the sides would call her in to get a description of johnny's behavior when they were together to try and use that as proof of, in this case, Johnny having a history of jealousy and violence. Not that well tbh, but you'd be stupid not to try and get testimony from her.

It is in Disney's interests to support JD's contention that he lost a lot of money because of AH's defamatory statements. It is in Disney's interest to help JD to win this case. He will be box office double-gold after this trial, whatever the verdict. Disney understands that it would be suicide to alienate JD by undermining his case. So they are sticking by their story that they will never employ him again so that he looks like a victim now - but after the trial, guess who's going to be first in line with a lucrative contract for him?

Looking at the apologies through this lens, Depp's apologies all fit what you'd expect, and Heard's... mostly fit... but not exactly what you'd expect. It doesn't mean much, but it's just another small point to add to the thousand others.
