    Flagrant fouls are considered unnecessary contact while in the play. They are classified as Flagrant 1, which gives the opposing free throws and possession, and Flagrant 2, which results in an automatic ejection. If a player get 2 flagrant 1's in a game, they're ejected. Technical fouls are more for unsportsmanlike behavior, like fighting and being disrespectful to players, refs, fans, etc. 2 technical fouls in a game lead to ejections.

    Your knowledge of the NBA is quite impressive Kabir. I played rec league basketball until I was 57 years old. And believe me there are a lot of older guys that keep in shape so that they can keep playing. Our league was for guys over 40 so as a 57 year old I was playing against much younger guys. I received a bad ankle injury back in 2019 that took so long to heal that I finally had to call it quits. It took over 6 mos before I could jog on that ankle. And I've literally had dozens of serious knee, ankle and hip injuries over the years. Basketball is such and addictive sport to play. You never want to give it up. I still practice and do the training drills with my son who is 22. He still cannot out shoot me!! But he can run circles around me... 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

    Technical fouls usually occur away from the ball and are given out for unsportsmanlike behavior (arguing with the referee, taunting, etc) 2 technicals is an ejection. Flagrant fouls occur on the ball. Flagrant 1 is contact that is "unnecessary", 2 flagrant 1 fouls = ejection. Flagrant 2 is contact that is "unnecessary and excessive" and results in an automatic ejection

    a flagrant is when a player is fouled very hard. a normal foul is when a player gets fouled but not to bad. a technical is when the player is fighting or trash talking the ref but when you get 2 techs then you get ejected you. a ref can also just eject a player before the 2 techs

    Look for a video from 77 or late 70s for Rudy Thomjanovich getting suckered punch by Kermit Washington , worst punch I have ever seen at the time they said life threatening but went on to be Hall of Fame Coach for Houston Rockets when Akeem was there.

    Normal fouls are called personal fouls. Fouling someone in a shooting motion is called a shooting foul and they are awarded free throws. Flagrant fouls are called after reviews of the initial foul call and are reserved for unnecessary contact plays. A flagrant 1 is a warning to the player and a technical free throw for the other team. A flagrant 2 or second flagrant 1 in the same game is an automatic ejection, and a technical free throw for the other team. A technical foul is reserved for unsportsmanlike conduct, like getting face to face or shoving somebody after the play. Technical fouls result in a free throw for the opposing team. Each player is allowed one technical foul, if they should get a second in the same game, they are ejected.

  • @LuckyNemo03
    @LuckyNemo03 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    There are regular fouls, then two kinds of flagrant fouls (1 & 2). Flagrant 1’s give free throws and the ball back to the team fouled on and if one player gets two flagrant 1’s they get ejected. Flagrant 2’s are the same thing but an immediate ejection I believe. It’s up to the refs to determine how flagrant the foul is

  • @BrockMak
    @BrockMak 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Flagrant and Technical fouls only have 2 fouls like yellow and red. But they are the same type of foul, meaning if you pick up a technical for arguing with the ref, then later a flagrant 1 for never attempting to get the ball when you foul, you're still ejected from the same.
    Flagrant 2 = Straight Red.

    I'm a little late on seeing this video lol. But I just had to say when I saw the title and saw the first few clips to know exactly the kind of stuff that they were referring to, I knew without a doubt that somewhere on the list, if not more than once, we'd find Grayson Allen. That kid has been notorious for doing things like that since he was in college. I'm a die hard Kentucky Wildcat college basketball fan and I can remember when he played in college and the times that we had to play them, more than once he got in a lot of trouble for tripping people and such as that so it is no surprise whatsoever that he is still up to his old tricks. On that same note lol, one of the last guys it showed on this was one of my all time favorite Kentucky Alums, Demarcus Cousins, or Big Cuz we called him lol. The year that he and John Wall played together at UK made for one of the best teams that we've ever had. I loved watching them on the floor together, they were amazing! But he's also been known for being mouthy and pulling stunts like that lol. But of course when these guys are on the team that you love, you love that they do it. When it's someone on an opposing team, not so much lol. There was one time when Cousins was still at UK, about a week before we were to go up against another team, you'll have to forgive me for not remembering what team it was that we were playing that game, but anyway, about a week or a few days before that game was to be played, his personal cell phone number somehow got out to some of the students at the other college and he kept getting these texts and calls from these people just hounding and harrassing him to no end lol. I'm pretty sure he ended up having to even have his number changed and all that but all week long he would get these messages and phone calls, just pranks from the students at the other school and then when it was game time, that night Cousins, as usual, played extremely well and after he had made one particularly great shot he looked up into the stands, held his hand up to his ear making the motion like he was holding a phone and mouthed the words, Call Me to the crowd and the cameras lol. It was great. I'm pretty sure there are some videos of it on youtube or somewhere that you can find if you were so inclined to see it, it was definitely hilarious lol!

    This video kind of proves a point I've been making. The Celtics are looked at as dirty, even though they aren't, yet they always seem to get this stuff from other teams and when they fight back, they are guilty somehow. Especially Marcus Smart.
