to be honest, i never actually type in the search bar, i usually just watch the recommended videos in my home page, and yet that's how i found your channel as i watch alot of construction type videos mabye thats why you came up in my recommendation
Your videos are great! They have been educational for me as you look at the real issues and shortcuts. I’m not a roofer, but like to learn how to fix and do things properly as a DIYer. I just had a roof installed this spring and really wish I would have found your channel earlier. I would have asked you for a quote as I am in the same area. I will recommend you to my parents who will need a roof replacement soon.
Ha, I love your videos but sometimes watching these worst roof ever videos ( my favorite) I get paranoid about roof leaking. Just so many places little errors can be made on a shingled roof. Good thing is your videos are helping me know what to look out for, and if I ever do see any issues I believe I could take care of. My one roof is new, so definitely keeping an eye on for the first few rains. My roof on my other house is about 5 years old, and I wasn't able to watch your videos or watch the whole installation process like I did on this last roof replacement. Just going to have to remain vigilant... I appreciate your videos, btw... If you ever decide to offer a service where if someone videos questions/issues of their roof you and then you review videos and offer advice I'll be your first customer lol... Really hard to get an honest assessment from a professional these days.

I think i seen in one of your responses if someone posted a pic of a concern about their roof, you would give your opinion. Maybe I try sometime. You ever have any painting questions, feel free to reply to any of my comments. I've been watching all your new videos lately ( old ones too actually) and I will definitely be commenting from time to time. Appreciate taking time to do. I have learned a lot about roofing in a short time. It definitely helped when I just had my roof put on, too.
For me as a roofer. Worst roof ever really comes down to flashing. Especially on porch’s and chimneys. If the flashing is terrible then you know the roof is not done right.
Thanks for the videos and content. I really appreciate them. Maybe consider mentioning specifics in the title like flashing, roof vent, starter strips, ice shield, vents, etc. along with the fix. People love to see the problem and the fix. I know I do because I'm always trying to improve and I want to know if my roof is done right.
That roof will probably be leaking within a few years. It wasn't installed properly especially the first row and no flashing. Better talk to the new owners about all the problems you found.
Love the video. As a Home Inspector I'm now using you videos for my employees to watch so they will have a reminder on what to look out for. Do you have a email that I could share some pictures on what we find with you?

Agreeing with you the whole way...if your gong to spend thousands of dollars on a roof why would you not[ in the case of the roofer] place the shingles in proper line....so they at least look like the predecessor...Cedar shingles...or I could be totally wrong.....ahhhhhhhhhhhh...

The first layer goes on under the drip edge metal and yes that was tar on the metal from them over heating the cap

I think you should come up with a 1 to 10 scale. Then base it on that.
