Great review. I just got the Casper Nova but basically bought it without doing any research. I needed a new mattress because I was getting a reclining bed. So I ended up here just to see what I got. I'm 195 lbs and my wife and I sleep in separate beds. I was a little worried that its a bit too soft for me. But I'm so use to camping and hard ground conditions that this mattress seems like a dream to me. I mostly sleep on my side. No back sleeping but I do find myself on my stomach without knowing it. I don't last long in that position. Not because of the mattress, but just because that is not the most comfortable position for me and I soon shift over. When you sit on the edge of the bed it does sink a ways. I'm just a little bummed that it didn't make your list of the 10 best mattresses for 2021!

One of the most important things in searching for a mattress for me, is side support. That combined with enough topper cushioning to relieve pressure points and a medium firm rest of mattress(6/7) is the perfect solution to years of painful sleeping. Many people forget to check out side support when reviewing mattresses. Your reviews emphasize that which is always an awesome reminder!
casper nova medium firm cover has a good cozy feel and sleeps a little cooler, has a total of 6 layers counting the cover, this one could be on my list of mattress wanted! I like the motion transfer is good and sleeps cool.
As a side sleeper this might be suitable for me. I think hybrids give great support. I sleep alone, so I am not worried about motion transfer. Thanks, Logan, for all the research & work you put into these videos! For the price- I may have to consider other options! But it looks great!
I weigh 155 and am a side sleeper. The reviews are correct I feel no pressure on my shoulders and the perfect amount of support for my hips. And major bonus it actually sleeps cooler than my old more traditional pillow top bed. It's super easy to roll around on and I paired it with a Reverie R650 adjustable base. When you're raising the head / foot zones the extra support in the middle is perfect for that as well. Not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for imho.
I'm a combo back and side sleeper. As a zoned support hybrid, this appears to help those with shoulder issues, such as myself. I also appreciate the airscape for hot sleepers like me. Great review!
Ooooooh!! The Casper Wave sounds dreamy! A hybrid with a plush feel, just made to cradle my side sleeping self - Yes! Pricier, but so what - I can't afford it but I can dream about it.
I loved the feel of this mattress when I first got it but about a week or two in the middle portion of the mattress began to sink, and I started waking up with terrible lower back pain in the middle of the night, EVERY NIGHT. When I slept on the side of the mattress it was fine -- I loved it, actually -- but there's something wrong with the construction of these beds. The middles shouldn't give like that. I then returned the mattress and purchased a Nest Sparrow -- and it was the same exact thing: the middle portion sank from the first week, and the sides were great. I returned that one too and decided I was swearing off beds in boxes forever. I got a Tempurpedic Luxe Adapt Firm (which actually has similar depth cushioning to the nova hybrid, though initially it has a firm surface feel) and haven't looked back. Costs more than double of what the Nova costs, but I'd rather have a good night's sleep and pay the piper, tbh.
The nova hybrid sounds like it has the right amount of firmness and softness. I am interested in trying something like this because I tend to sleep on my side a lot lately.

Apart from like your super luxury mattresses that cost 4 or 5 thousand dollars this is by far one of the most impressive mattresses I’ve ever laid on. I ended up getting a Serta iSeries which I love but I can’t help but think about this mattress, it’s just cool and different and very unique to anything on the market. If you’re in the market for like a purple mattress save your money and get the Casper Nova Hybrid, it’s the Cadillac of mattresses in that sub 2,000 price point.
Like the pocketed coils and airscape foam layers. The zoning is very unique..being a side sleeper, this is a good quality for comfort. Looks soft enough without sinking way into it. Not sure I'd get out if it's a comfy as it looks!

Around 8:35 you claim that the Casper Wave Hybrid is even plusher, but this directly contradicts Caspers own website which states that the Nova Hybrid is indeed the softer, plusher of the two. What specifically made you decide the opposite?
My thought EXACTLY! In the video he rates the Nova at 5/10 for firmness then says that the Wave is more plush, but calls it 6/10. I am in the process of returning an Alexander Signature Hybrid which is supposedly 3/10 and not soft enough for me.
This seems like a nice mattress. I like that’s it’s on the softer side since I’m primarily a side sleeper. I had to return the Casper Element because it was too firm but this seems like it might suit me just fine. Great review, thanks!
I love seeing these brands coming out with different models so that there is something to pick from for most people. I will have to look into this one more. As a petite side sleeper i am really curious about this one due to the softness and the zoned support. Thanks for the great info on this newer model.
I just got to try this mattress at a Casper store a couple days ago and it was SO NICE. It felt more like a 4 or 4.5 out of 10 firmness to me personally, and it was really comfortable. I liked it a lot better than the Wave, which I thought was more like a 5.5 or 6 out of 10. It's also not a memory foam feel at all, no sinking. It's a more bouncy and responsive foam but not like latex. And the cover is so soft! Great review y'all!
I bought an original Casper 10 years ago. I do rotate it 180 degrees regularly. This is a zoned mattress. Does that mean I can or cannot rotate this nova model. Thanks for what you do
The Casper Nova Hybrid looks sweet. I would love to test it too see just how soft it is. Usually I am in the 6-7 firmness range, but you said it would be excellent for side combo sleepers so it piqued my curiosity. I see that all these companies have great return policies, but I was wondering about something. If you get one of these bend a box mattresses and end up having to return it after it already decompressed, how do they handle that??? How could you even pack it, and unless you have a truck to move it, I think it would be challenging.
As a larger man and former athlete with a bad back, I have yet to find any all memory foam mattress that provides enough support, so I'll pass on this Casper which seems to be too soft.
I've had this for a year, do NOT buy it. It sags like crazy, and in some spots the springs have completely stopped supporting anything. I put my knee on the mattress while changing the sheets and it went all the way through and made a thud on the slats underneath (I weigh about 135-140). Super expensive and very painful on my back with all the sagging spots.
Notice no one who reviews the bed really goes in depth about the cover and they remove it lol I have the Nova H and was very disappointed with it's %100 "polyester" (recycled) cover. If you look closely those black dots mixed with grey are different types of polyester. It felt hot to the touch, like putting a hot blanket over your bed. Luckily this cover is in fact "removable" and you can buy any other mattress protector to go over the Nova. Aside from that the bed is great and the cover is the worst part that I found.

I might need a little more support as a mostly back sleeper. I do however like the hybrid aspect of this mattress.

I think the perfect mattress is a latex hybrid with a zip cover for interchangeable cores
Being heavier, this probably isn't the one for me, but I do like that it's a soft feel that's not memory foam!

Depends on the company tbh. Some donate them to local charities while others, unfortunately, end up in the dump.
