    This is a "How to" video, to show you how to set your throtte position sensor (TPS) and also how to syncronise your throttle bodies (TB's).
    It is a crucial part of your periodic maintenance and is synonimous with poor running TL1000's.

    I bought a 1999 TL1000r two months ago and it would cut off when idling while hot. After watching this video I adjusted the TPS sensor and synchronized the carbs and it idles perfectly and pulls much better now. Great video.

    Brilliant video, so clear and concise and transformed my TL. What a beast now. Especially with a KN, open pipes and a Power Commander 2 usb with a Dynojet map. Maybe a dyno set up would improve it even more. But its mega as is. Im going to check my valve clearences again last year I discovered a burnt put valve. Ive replaced that and i'll re-check before we go tbis year. New plugs, KN clean, oil and filter and it'll be like new. Love this bike, awesome. Reminds me of the "strokers" I used to run and race in that it goes like fcuk, handles well and is relatively narrow and light. My favourite bike ever, apart from my race LC, and ive had a few at 64 years young. Have fun folks before the "green" twats ban us!! 😂👌😎
    BTW, black is best 😊

    in the tail section, it's a white plug with 4 pin holes (only two connections though) and a black rubber cap.

    My bike will not stay at idle. It keeps dying. could it be timing?

    • @dangelospaide1292
      @dangelospaide1292 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      did you ever come up with a solution for this? my bike is running extremely rich and has low power. i know the timing is perfect but i’m not idling very well. i also have a 99 suzuki tl1000s

    • @dadsakilla
      @dadsakilla 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dangelospaide1292 I did get it figured out. If you have the same bike you need to know that the tps calibration is very sensitive. I had to take it to a TLS specialist.
