    Got say always thought these were kinda stupid and personally never wanted them on my rig, but this is the only reason my grandpa can get in and out of my jeep, so thank you

    I’m so psyched to get this on my JL! Waiting for Hutchinson beadlocks with enough backspace to throw my Teraflex 3.5” lift and will install these at the same time. Nice looking at the massive “Made in the USA” logo across the side of the box in the meantime!

      @@rockslideengineering5125 I appreciate the link. I'm familiar with that version but it isn't a rock slider, it's just a power step side that can't take an impact. No one is making a rock slider/power step for trucks.

    Why do you need to mess with the door magnet when there is already a door open signal available in the wiring harness from Jeep for all 4 doors. Seems like this was designed poorly. Sorry if I sound too critical but that is a shortcoming from being an engineer myself. It’s a good product otherwise....

    • @rockslideengineering5125

      Hello!
      There are patents on trying directly into the door sensor in the aftermarket industry. We do not like to infringe on other patents so this is the design that was decided upon.

    • @tk2012A
      @tk2012A 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rock Slide Engineering actually If there is such a patent, it is not enforceable. People cannot patent something that is in the public domain. I installed a backup camera on my Motorhome. For that I needed to tap into the reverse gear signal in the Ford E450 harness. Doing so is not patentable. But anyway will your system work if I tap into the door(s) open signal myself?

      @caseykidman3774 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We hope in the future we have a system that ties directly into the jeep system, but right now to respect our competitors we install an independent harness. If you have any more feedback please send our sales team and email and they will get it to our engineering team! Sales@rockslideengineering.com is their email and we always welcome feedback!

    Nice step side. Not so good at rock sliding. First time out, a fairly uneventful rub on a rock completely tore the step out. RSE states “we don’t warranty our products for off-road damage” imagine my surprise that a product made specifically for off-road use was not warrantied for off-road use.

      There is a door delete kit that gives you a bypass button when the doors are off and can be added on when installed or at a later time

      Hello!
      We actually sell what is called the Door Delete Kit. It is in essence two buttons that you can use to override the sensors and close the doors manually.
      If you have any other questions let us know at support@rockslideengineering.com!

  • @brianamrhein640
    @brianamrhein640 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Of course if you have the doors off you need a kit like they cant provide with the crazy expensive 2000 dollar cost like wtf.

    • @rockslideengineering5125
      @rockslideengineering5125  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Brian!
      Many of our customers don't require a door delete kit, so rather than charge people for something they aren't going to use we lowered the price on the steps and had the Door Delete Kit option!

    • @MrPoseidonSays
      @MrPoseidonSays 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just offer the customer what he suppose to get. Not charge him more for special sneakers he needs to step on the slider. Lol you guys crack me up. Get real! Brian is right! That should come with the kit! An automatic cut off! Now if you sold me a kit with an auto shut off for wife then I’d understand. Good luck at that price

    • @brianamrhein640
      @brianamrhein640 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want to provide a steps that does not require door deletes then have it as a Completely separates cheaper step. I think somebody would be willing to pay a little extra to have the door delete kit come with the package instead of nickel and diming for each little thing I bet you guys sell the brackets separate to

    • @brianamrhein640
      @brianamrhein640 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rock Slide Engineering You guys claim that you are trying to provide multiple customers steps and Andr stand that you don't specifically just deal with Jeep vehicles but the fact that you guys nickel and dime for each little part of the step for the people that do have jeep vehicles you guys are ridiculous you make a step for off road vehicles and most off road freaks have jeep owners so therefore both your customer base are jeepers
