For anyone that had the same question I had, but couldn't find an answer online:
On my JK which has a 1-1/4" body lift, there is a bit more work to do, but totally doable. YOU have to notch out the steps with a cutoff wheel in a few small spots to clear the body mount brackets. Otherwise, everything fits and works as intended. I also think these should be made with the notches extended from the factory to eliminate the issues during install as it's already being cut anyway and doesn't affect structural integrity in any way.

Hi, I'm going to be putting these on my JK and it also has a body lift. When you say notch out the body brackets, are referring to the bracket that slides between the bolt head and the washer? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Trimshaw no, you have to notch out the steps themselves at the body mounts. Basically the body mounts hit the steps, but barely.

Thanks for specifying the body plug in the floor to knock out is the back one and not the front one.

Was that sarcasm because I think it should be sarcasm because I did not hear them say the rear plugs at any point.

If love to see these instructions for the Bronco. I'm judging whether i should do them myself or get them done at the shop.

A buddy did the Gen 3 on his wildtrack by himself, easily. The rubber bumper piece is preinstalled on the slider itself for the Bronco sliders. There is a very small gap between the body and the step/bumper because the Bronco body tapers in very slightly. This can be corrected by putting a couple washers on the bolt that draws in the step closer to the body.

Great video but have a question. My body mount washers that have threads near the bolt head and I can’t get 3 of the brackets on since the clearance between the bolt head and washer is too small. Any one have this issue?

Very disappointed in the instructions. These are instructions been given to somebody that has done it before and just needs to be reminded. Not someone that has done this before. And being a hobbyist, putting them on myself on a Saturday and of course they’re not open for help on a weekend when I would guess most people would have questions. This is not my day job installing stuff.

These steps are overrated and a waste of money. Nothing but problems, ask anyone who really wheels about them!
