Maroon 5's greatest song - - seductive melody and heartfelt emotion come together to build to a rocking climax. It was the band's ability to craft catchy songs with both pop appeal and rock sensibility that made their first two albums a worthwhile listening experience for me. Now the band churns out only bland pop pablum to be played as background music in shopping malls. I guess Adam and company figured out what side their bread was buttered on. That being the case, it still boggles my mind that even the dumb general public prefers to hear all the crap from the later albums instead of a something like this gem.
Amazing. Love this performance because it lets you see they are great musicians. Adam does good solos, James and Mickey keep the funk drive all through the song, Jesse fills the the remaining soundspace with the keyboards, and look at Matt! Look at how he gets inspired near the end and totally bangs the fucking drum set. I'm a rocker, and I can tell you Matt would do an awesome job in many of the bands I listen to. Wish they had kept making music this way, and not totally sold out with Overexposed.
