I am 50 years old and have been cutting hair since i was 16 and have always had a busy shop that we opened in 1990. This is the exact haircut I get, including the exact clipper comb lengths. I am an amateur barber who cuts my own hair in between going to the barbershop. The diagram in this video has helped me give myself a perfect cut with NO lines. Thank You so much for the GREAT videos you do!

Great video sir, the diagram is nice too and makes it easy to follow along, I'm not sure if it was my speakers on my computer but sometimes the audio of your voice would go high and then low. As far as advertising I do IG, and Facebook. Right now business is slow, I'm new and I'm around a college town. Kids do not come back to school until the end of August. As far as advertising I have done Facebook boost post, IG Pics and I have passed out cards but other then that being new I am kind of lost since I do not have any clientele other then a few seniors who come in for a Sr discount. I have thought about doing free cuts, but only like flattops/horse shoe flat tops and bald fades since I struggle with them. I also thought about hanging outside a great clips on a day off, of leave for a few hours during work and pass out business cards in front of there, and just walk the streets (residential/business) and pass out cards. It is also a hit to your morale when your buddy in the shop is cutting at a 10:1 ratio you are and your just sitting there but i'm taking notes discretely. I also need to get quicker on all my cuts no one has time for a 35-45 min haircut plus at that rate I'm going to starve!

Ayyo mr eddie the 1 1/2 guard leaves the hair about 3/16 of an inch which is 4.5 millimeters so its like a 10 day stubble bro!
with the shaver are you suppose to go all the way up to the first guideline or leave some space in between ??

I give out haircuts for free and I'm in cosmetology so I get to practice there
I noticed you skipped the half guard process and went to 1 open..then you went back to halfgaurd but it came out good without using the half guard...in this type of haircut while doing a high fade do you skip the half guard at all times?
How close does the shaver get is it like razering upwards because that's to close your hair is gana come out thicker then shaving downwards in that case shave down with a razor because if it's equivalent the shaving up then I wouldn't use it on my head
So technically when you make your first guideline off the taper it starts as open/(1/4)/(1/2)/(3/4)/closed? I was tripping when I saw your diagram and saw it said closed to open

on the diagram it shows that you use the 1/16 before the 1 but in the video you used the 1 and then came back with the 1/16
im confused he used 1 and half and there was no line usually theres a line u take away with 1 after using 1 and half
