This is the Melipona Bee is a Mayan or Native Mexican/Central American bees. Love how far it has gone in the world and how much the qualities differ. This is an amazing thing to watch!
Tetragonual iridipennis which is very different from Melipona, there are 20k species of bees in which 500 are stingless but this kind is native to India used in Ayurveda ,much before the discovery of America by Europeans
with limited resources, the nice gentle peoples r doing wonderful job which others can easily .follow,Congratulations & best wishes to ur entire family. thank u sharing ur knowledge.
Thank you Binu, that was really interesting! What a great hive design. There is much more intricacy inside than i expected. I still haven't figured out if they will survive in Europe in winter. I have it written down though so i will ask my beekeeper friend to help me. I had no idea why the 'wax' was so dark. It makes sense now. Propolis!
Mr. Binu is an expert in this field, where as his father Mr. P. T. Thampi is a university in the field of all types of honey bees He is watching them very closely. He is a very generous person and transferring all his knowledge to farmers free of cost. Where as a few are getting pretends of his invention and making money from his studies.
Genius design for beehives, give us more information where we can order this beehives. We are passionate to increase more bees around the garden and binu's father inventions will surely work very well. Great video.
Rob Bob's Backyard Farming I will be calling up the gentleman today itself to see if I can procure the set up. Was so excited to see the innovative hive😀😀.
Mumbai Balcony Gardener | Avid Life Observer hi i am very much inspired by ur work. I am also trying to make my gallery like u with those bees in Mumbai Thanks.
That is the best that no bees get killed I seen other videos other places that is a massacre this is great he have to sign several I'm maze of their engineering
Para la extracción yo uso una centrifugadora manual como la de secar los vegetales, además dañas menos los potes y extraes limpiamente la miel, de ésa manera regresas el cerumen más limpio
Hi David...I just split a large stingless bee species here ...But I cannot find any queen or extra queen...but plenty of egg. Will the bees make a new queen in the process of rebuilding back the hive colony..?
Hi Jansen!my name is Hailemariam an Ethiopian living in Sweden. I am a bee keeper.i am interested with to have Binus type bee hive.du you have any information about it?thanks
Just to let you all know, I had ordered wooden bee-hive with live bees with these people back in January. It took a whole 3 months for the delivery. I was constantly following up to check on the delivery status, unfortunately, there wasn't a single response till date. Luckily, to my surprise, the shipment arrived. Unfortunately, the bee-hive model is not the one which I had ordered. It is wrongly shipped with some old stuff. Now I am back to square one, trying to connect with these folks with no luck so far.
My name is Hailemariam and I'm interested in the bee hive construction of stingless bee. Would you be please enough to tell me how I can contact them or make a delivery?
This is very interesting and a very innovative bee hive boxes Binu's father has invented and made. I am a new Subscriber. But I am Curious when you (Binu) said that the hive can last for 100 years. Also a box has been there for 30 years. My Question is, How can hive last 30 or 100 years? Will not the Queen Bee die and so hive function will also stop??
we have stingless bees in australia. I used to live in darwin (the top end) and they were everywhere! Would like to have some now but i moved to the bottom end of australia. They dont survive here, its to cold.
Thanks for making this video. But even more so, thank you for respecting nature and teaching others to do it as well. Insects get such a bad rap from ignorant, fearful humans who would rather try the easiest way to control nature either by wiping out or trying to control what they don't understand by using unnatural methods instead of learning how to work in harmony with nature. It's time humanity threw aside our arrogant attitude of planetary overlords and took up our proper role of planetary caretakers.
Just to make it simple. If the hive is full up it is a good time to take up to 70% honey providing there is no monsoon rain or winter for the next coming three month. It really all boils down to if there are enough flowers in the area (200m around the hive) that the bees can get at.
wonderful video! I love bees. :) I think I was stung the other day though. I had spilled some sugared coffee and it attracted a bee. I think he got stuck between my fingers and stung me. :( Not upset with the bee though. He was just being a bee. :D - Heidi
Binu and his father are excellent personalities.. They done great revolution in this small bee farming

No, the Mayan bee is bigger. There are dozens of species of meliponas, and that bee isn't even a melipona

I like their hive. Would be interesting to see if it would work with the Aussie native bees.
Thanks for the look mate.

I also like their hive....already made one to see if it works on malaysian varieties...
Ya, this would work with Aussie bees like Australopleibia australis, Tetragonula sapiens, T. mellipes, T. sapiens etc.,

Hello po! Have you tried their design? effective po ba sa Tetragonula biroi?
will the pvc pipe actually affect the honey(chemical reaction)?
Fantastic video and hive design. Apparently they love the tropics and unfortunately it's too cold for native stingless bees where I live.
this is the least messy method of harvesting stingless bee honey that i have ever come across. ok time to start a new hobby
Very nice
Do you use propolis of this bees to cure deseases?

Very nice and great presentation of very high medicinal value Indian stingless bees honey, its more nutritious than Manuka Honey!!!
Hi David...I just split a large stingless bee species here ...But I cannot find any queen or extra queen...but plenty of egg. Will the bees make a new queen in the process of rebuilding back the hive colony..?
usually stingless bees can't make any queens by the worker or drone bee...colony should have a queen or queen egg ...sorry for the late replay
Yes they swarm too, but it is almost unnoticed.
Very good video, design of hive is excellent.
what a good design i hope they have like this in the Philippines.....
Great! I also breed stingless bees in Brazil!
Hi Jansen!my name is Hailemariam an Ethiopian living in Sweden. I am a bee keeper.i am interested with to have Binus type bee hive.du you have any information about it?thanks

@@adolfkitler47 we don't talk to a person who have 1 one ball....🤣
this bee is essential for vanilla pollination
Just put the propolis back to honey chamber. It would accelerate honey production since the bees do not need to bring propolis back to the hive.
Amazing
Wow.It's very good.
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing.
Brilliant inventor!
How to parchas bee..? In kolkata
do they export the hive???
