Combat veterans flying a pair of SIAI-Marchetti S.211 jets help civilian pilots acquire new skills. Stick time in high-performance, aerobatic aircraft? Yes, please.
Glad to have flown this during my training days in Perth. Even happier still that it's still flying in it's orange white colors after more than 20 years.
Not a terrible bird. Little heavy, not the fastest. Empty it has decent thrust to weight ratio. Hooker harness just sounds wrong. Maybe a name change is in order.

Beautiful plane.
My new son in law is an Air Force Captain. I would love to send him down to get some jet time. He flys drones. Thanks!!
I would love to get to experience this!!
In the Philippines that plane is called the widow maker., maybe because of the age of the planes
Good morning... Does it need ppl +1000 hours like L-39 to get the type rating for the marchetti s211 and fly solo?
"Immlemanns"
Seems all AOPA wants to talk about is high end aircraft most can’t afford, even for a couple flights.
Look two stories down in the TH-cam feed and you will see aopa’s story on the family owned Cub. One story about a jet does not constitute a trend.
Ferraris fly?
