What these people do is truly inspiring. Our veterans deserve the utmost respect and it's good to see a group out there seeing them off to their final resting place properly. Keep doing what you're doing!
I have been on "both sides of the flag line". As a Patriot Guard Rider and as a family member of the one being honored. It is an indescribable feeling. It is an honor and a privilege to stand in honor and pay respect as well as receive the same. God bless my brothers and sisters.
Good bless. I have brought up my daughter in the PGR and we both miss it with all our hearts since we moved for AZ . Hoping one day to join our extended family in the mighty MO
Although you may not be able to be graveside or likened missions, you can still post bereavement comments on the national site. That is a very important part of each "mission" as well. Best to you and yours.
My dad is part of the PG and he has been on several missions. He says it's the most emotional experience he could ever imagine. In the spring (cuz I wouldn't be able to take the cold) I'll be joining him to stand in the flag line. It's the least I can do to pay tribute to those who have fought for this country. I have a brother in the military and I could only hope I never have to attend a mission for him. Bless all the PG and what they do!
I am also a member of the PGR,and let me say that once you have gone on a mission to honor one of the fallen, you will not come through it unaffected, or unchanged.
The Patriot Guard Riders are going to be at my fathers funeral Monday, I just wanted to Thank them for being able to ride in honor of my father...Douglas Evans Wallis (Vietnam Veteran) 101st Airborne Division
I love these guys. I recently watched a former American Idol (Kristy Lee Cook) sing her new song, Airborne Ranger Infantry" A tribute to every veteran and one of the best songs for veterans I have ever heard. Being a vet myself, this song gives a real message. It's healing, and real and thank you Ms Kristy Lee Cook.
All of those that are members of the PGR, thank you for what you do for the fallen military members of our country. It is something that truly touches my heart, so again thank you for everything you do.
Thank you Patriot Guard Riders of NY, you were there to help us bring my cousin Christopher Scott home, there for the calling hours, and standing across from us in a field when we laid our Fallen hero to rest, you are an awesome group of people, that brought a calm to our community words cannot express how I feel about these groups, God Bless You All
These riders are one of the best things to happen to this country!!!! Just to see how there are good people out there. Thank you to all of the Patriot Riders...
We expect NOTHING! It's the least we can do for those who gave all! PGR New York here. When military personnel at PGR missions come up to me and extend their hand in gratitude, I am overwhelmed with pride and that, my friends is a priceless reward! God Bless America
Wonderful video. I've proudly joined the Patriot Guard myself, currently active duty USN. I've loved my nation since I could remember and even after I leave the service will still continue to honor and love those who sacrifice their personal lives on a daily basis to protect the country we hold so dear.
I've only rarely ever comment on videos on youtube. But I must break my silence to give thanks to these riders. I've but barely heard of you guys but I already hold the deepest respect for each and every one of you. You are all heroes.
Everyone in the 4th brigade 1st armored division extends their thanks for your prayers and thanks you for the support you give us in our times of need and for looking after our fallen brothers/sisters in arms and helping their families. You all have our thanks and gratitude for everything you have done for all of us in the United States military.
I saw a group of Patriot Guard Riders on the highway the other day. All I could do was give them a big thumbs up but I wish I could have told them directly how great their work is.
This was an awesome news cast Gunner towards the end made me cry. So many of these guys we ride with for fun and some only on the sad occassions. Great coverage.
When my friend died in Iraq on Valentines Day in '06... They showed up and rode from the funeral to the grave site and spent ime talking to all of us... We were very thankful for them showing up. God bless them!!!!!
thank you very much sir. it's good to know that we're taken care of by good men and women back home to help ease the pain for our families should something happen to us. I am a member of the 1st armored div. and thank you all from the bottom of my heart for taking care of us and being there when our families are in need of help
I just want to say thank you very much for what you do. Not everyone feels the way they do. My son is a MARINE thank GOD HE is home safe. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND FOR WHAT YOU ARE DOING. I only wish I could be right by our side holding my FLAG with pride. c.s.
@RangerAlways, Thank you for all that you do. I say this to every serviceman or woman I encounter, now if I ever happen to see any PGR in my part of TX I'll be sure to thank them as well.
I was the lead ride captain for the PGR mission for LCpl Stephen L. Morris. Stephen came home on New Year’s Day 2006. He was the 1st KIA from our area to came home on a charter flight. The escort home is in some of the video. We had over 140 riders escort Stephen home even though his flight was a few hours late. Almost everyone of our riders waited at the airport. The amazing thing was that all the folks in Lake Jackson waited for the procession on the roadside with flags & signs for hours
I want a motorcycle just to join this group. I still serve and it gives me goosebumps, chills, and my eyes water to know that such a honorable group go out and extend themselves to the full extent of their entire DoD family.
I made my first missiion run today and I had been encouraged to show up in 4 wheels if that was all I had. It was a humbling experience and one I was honored to be a part of. I hate to say that I will be at another one, since I dont want there to be a need for them anymore, but in reality there will be many more to come and any close to me in Arizona I will try to arrange my schedule to be at.
Real men also cry. These men are the DEFINITIONS of men and to see these men's eyes moisten like that really makes me understand their pain and plight the pride and patriotism the power and potential of mankind and humanity.
As a Patriot Guard Rider...I will ride as long as I can...as a Patriot...I will be so until the time when the PGR will ride for me.....it is comforting to me that sometime, someplace down the road, someone I don't know will make the effort to say..."MISSION COMPLETE" RIP....
The PGR stand for what far too many of our veterans never got when they finished their service: a welcome home, and an honored farewell. Thus we carry on the legacy of all who have served this country both here and abroad. Bikers know the meaning of honor. We are not books to be judged by our covers.
They were at the funeral service in Council Bluffs, IA for Sgt. Brent Maher, killed in Afghanistan from an IED on 4/7/11. I was there helping counter-protest against the WBC. Thank you Patriot Guard.
wbc shows up in my town for a prtest against a brave soldier named joshua mcclimans. i am grateful to these men who are going to be there to shield the family from these disrespectful people. thank you fgr for showing respect for this man and helping out. and i will be there next to them to support them.
I'm in a club that has a not so great reputation and considered a gang by the Feds and don't give respect to a lot of other mcs, but the military mcs and patriot guard have my respect and I hope they keep doing what they're doing. L&R to the military and the PGMC
Im English, and our soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq have been fighting against religious fascists in those countries, im glad our American brothers and sisters are opposing the same kinds of people in the US
Somewhere around 60-70% are Veterans. Retired military, some percentage less than that. Not all are motorcycle riders, some just drive their cars (Cages) to the missions. All are there to show respect to the fallen and their families no matter what their backgrounds.
I would agree with you in the cases where the Westboro Baptist Church pickets are an issue. But I don't think that is their sole purpose. They just care and have the same experiences as the people they are caring for. It's just when ignorant heartless people picket a military funeral they are seen as, 'needed'.
Love this report. Kept the focus on the Patriot Guards and the fallen soldiers. Only a brief mention of "protesters disrupting funerals" so they don't inadvertently give them free publicity.
I believe they do go on line and search Patriot Guard there is a chapter in every state, and as far as breaking news they just escorted 2 tractor trailer loads of wreaths going to Arlinton each state chapter did it in their own state and I believe some went from Maine To Virginia. look up Wooster Wreath for that story
i agree frisky but i have to say that the PGR members are some of the real heroes and great people like them are what's needed for the families of the fallen. though they may not want thanks it is truly deserved to them.
It amazes me that the most patriotic American action come from Bike Riders, we need more good American like this, and less democratic winners crying fowl play and waving the white flag. Ride on Patriot Guard you make me want to bie a bike and ride with you. LOVE YOU ALL
Great men. Honorable men. Thank God for people like these. Thank God for US Marines, Thank God for Soldiers, Thank God for the U.S. Military. And Fuck WBC.
It is a beautiful thing they do. I am a former member of the U.S. Air Force, a Pagan, and a homosexual male; the unprovoked assaults of the Westboro Baptist Church and their ilk on the families of our Fallen are therefore thrice repulsive, and I was thrilled to learn of a group of people willing to band together to combat this evil.
Jesus Christ. I came so close to death in Iraq. Having these men at my funeral would've me cry, even in Heaven. I'm a grown man with tears running down my face. I'd love to join them, paying tribute to the Marines who died where I didn't.
What these people do is truly inspiring. Our veterans deserve the utmost respect and it's good to see a group out there seeing them off to their final resting place properly. Keep doing what you're doing!

I thank every single one of them for doing what they do.
They're very special, these Patriot Guards. They give utmost respect and honor to our fallen heros.

Much respect to the Patriot Guard from Canada
I made my first missiion run today and I had been encouraged to show up in 4 wheels if that was all I had. It was a humbling experience and one I was honored to be a part of. I hate to say that I will be at another one, since I dont want there to be a need for them anymore, but in reality there will be many more to come and any close to me in Arizona I will try to arrange my schedule to be at.

They will be at an Airman's funeral in Anderson SC tomorrow. Thank God for these guys. They make sure people can grieve in peace.
These guys are the ultimate badasses. Respect.
Patriots we Honor & Respect our Veterans and there family's and Corades every where rain, heat, cold weather . WE STAND PROUD
As a Patriot Guard Rider...I will ride as long as I can...as a Patriot...I will be so until the time when the PGR will ride for me.....it is comforting to me that sometime, someplace down the road, someone I don't know will make the effort to say..."MISSION COMPLETE" RIP....
This is the flesh-and-blood realization of the true American spirit. They make our country proud.

not often do I get tears in my eyes
The PGR stand for what far too many of our veterans never got when they finished their service: a welcome home, and an honored farewell.
