Nice honest review. I have been playing blades then great cavity backs for years ...currently play Callaway Steelhead XR Pros and love them. Single digit player. I went to a demo day and hit everything available on a gorgeous day and was absolutely amazed by the new Big Berthas. I am used to thin top line irons yet the BB s were the easiest to hit, hit the ball the highest and longest and gave incredible consistency. The coloration and shape of head did not make them appear as “ oversized” as one might think they are..The Ping i 500 was close but the sound was not acceptable to me...didnt sound as solid. The offset of BB was not problematic although pronounced. I hit the 7 iron and PW as that was all they had available and they were just incredible. I assume the 4-6 are equally easy to hit giving a great trajectory and big distance. The “ game improvement” moniker is exactly that.... hit it more consistently, higher and longer...I easily got over the larger headsize and offset once I saw the results. Why fight “ game improvement”.....30 years ago people laughed and were skeptical of “ metal” woods.....the ultimate oxymoron. we all use them exclusively now.
Good video. I know the rule of thumb is that a person shouldn't use blades or players cavity backs unless they are an accomplished golfer. The more different clubs I try, however, I'm beginning to think clubs don't matter unless a person is an accomplished golfer.
Great job on the video. You should do more iron reviews for sure. Also I would like to see you test Bridgestone e12 soft vs Callaway ERC ball comparison.
You make great and honest videos. Would you be willing to do a comparsion of brand name clubs vs clones. I have a couple of buddies who play acer xv pro irons and acer wedges.
Picking up a used set of the 2019 big berthas 5-pw for ~$235usd. I'm a beginner approx 41hcp and I think the mizuno mx-200 irons I'm currently using just might not be right for my current level of ability. Is this a good deal?
Great video John! If you can get your hands on one, I would love to see you test the Cobra F9 Speedback. I just purchased a set after getting fitted. Its the longest, most consistent iron I have hit. Granted im about a 19 handicap, so my strikes arent the most consistent
My buddy that got me started in Golf had the Big Bertha's with Mamiya or how ever you spell it graphite shafts. The cool thing about those shafts is they look like stepless steel shafts. At any rate they are the longest irons I've hit. He only had 7-Pw but, the 7 was longer than my 5 iron. I must admit they look massive behind the ball. The dark color kinda hides that a bit. I think for me at where I'm at in my golf the Big Bertha's would probably drop me a couple of strokes on the old score card. I sent you an email. So we'll see how you get along with the Golden Bear Blades😂👍
Some day, this guy and his wife will have 70k+ subs and end up mostly playing clubs from the mid 2000’s and earlier. Gotta love it
In 2030, Jon and Ashley will see these clubs at a garage sale and link to this review

More club testing please. Really enjoy real world thoughts and reviews.
I like your unbiased opinion
Great job. I like how you tell us what shaft and flex you are using. Most reviewers do not do this.thx
Interesting video. Both are great clubs. Cannot go wrong.
Really enjoy all your videos. Keep up the great work
Well I just got a set of 2006 big berthas.... I wonder how similar my irons are compared to these new guys

Great video what about T400 versus Callaway BB21 and Taylormade sim max O/S.
This was very good, but with Ash nowadays its more fun, her opinion as former beginner would also be appreciated.👍🏻
