Yeah, 10 years of never-ending nightmares would drive anyone insane.
That's something that often gets lost cause people are superficial and shit, but the source of Kratos' nightmares over his family were never some curse or outside influence, it was all him. Guilt that he never came to terms with...
People often bitches about the series being imature with all the sex minigames and the raging and shit, but they never realized that it was all Kratos trying to escape and forget what he done. If anything, the reboot feels like the devs running away from their embarasing past...just like Kratos once did.

@@SonnyFRST i mean, tt's more like if they were tryng to renew the series, ascension was pretty stale, they neded something different but familiar, kratos still is tormented by all the stuff in the first games, he's just having problems opening after all he went trought, all for not being able to accept it was his fault
Can't wait for Chains and Ghost. The end of Ghost is one of the most emotional endings in the series.
I find it hilarious how the Gods (The Furies in this case) can take away Kratos' memories of what he did, but not the nightmares/visions that plagued him, which is what he wants in GoW 1, until Athena was all "nah bro, you evil, we can't forget that" and then everyone proceeded to passive-aggressively or directly antagonize him, causing him to kill everyone.

This games shows that kratos has a reason why he's so brutal, and that he has a soft spot for his family

Alecto bossfight is one of the best final boss of the series in my opinion. The ambient and soundtrack fits perfectly, I still got shivers every time I see her monster appearance.

GOW Ascension is the only GOW game i did not play and i was rejecting any kind of video or spoiler on it. But Mythy is just different league, because his videos are must watch!

On a side note, might I recommend the *Darksiders* series to you? The atmosphere, story and characters are pretty cool and as an action game it is pretty similar to God of War. Just to peak your interest: You play as one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse and fight through hordes of demons on a post-armageddon Earth! It's one of my favourite action fantasy games.
so yeah, that long as hell gauntlet at the beginning? used to be tonnes harder. dunno what they did specifically to make it easier, but sooooo many people complained about it's difficulty. i barely managed to finish it before they patched it the day after. and that was after many many attempts and a long sleep.
now, to chains of olympus!!!! it's really short if i remember right. good though.

He's said he played Dmc 4 and he played Dmc 5 already on the channel(did the same for only one episode for Dmc 1), the only ones he could do would be Dmc 2, 3, and DMC: Devil May Cry, wouldn't really be much of a series playthrough like with GoW
