My gran used to play this and had the level codes on a bit of paper by the Amiga. Back in the day of Total. and also Nintendo magazine. I also used to play the Turtles game on the Amiga and think it was the Nagano winter olympics. I miss my Gran!
Great longplay there. Love it when you get into the tricky levels, they take a little longer generally and I get to hear the full music pieces looping a few times. Truly one of the best games ever made, ever. Still sitting out there in a genre all on its own, neat little sort of action puzler.
There are several remakes, have you looked? Limini is a Java app that runs anywhere a JRE can be installed. You will need the original Win95 version of the game files, which are freely downloadable. There are other platform-specific remakes of it as well. Teh goog is yr friend.
I remember having this on my Amiga back in the day, albeit a cracked version that gave unlimited power usage and 0% needed to clear levels. Many days were spent constantly nuking to clear stages and using bashers to break through steel bricks.
"Scott Johnston (Hired Guns) was creating the graphics for Walker and drawing the little men for the machine to shoot at in a 16 x 16 pixel box. I said that they could be done in 8 x 8 pixels so one lunchtime I set about trying to prove him wrong. The resulting image, which only took an hour or so to make, was the beginning of Lemmings. We had a huge amount of fun; challenging each other to our latest, virtually impossible level, while at the same time loving every second of its development. Only towards the end did we even consider that others were going to play it, and that we should probably do something about the difficulty level." -- Mike Dailly, co-designer (Lemmings - Amiga)
I have more nostalgia for the SNES one, but this is easy the best version of the classic puzzle game with better controls, no slowdown and uncensored unlike SNES version. I also miss Scottish devs DMA Design :-)
Many hours of my youth playing this successful series.

Impossible not to let your eyes travel up the cascade one as the undulations create an illusion of speedy lemmings.
40:55 Always loved the Shadow of the Beast tie-in level
All the four tie in levels were great, and something you don't find in all their splendor on the other platforms

This game needs a remake. Very good and very addictive.

I mean, there was one in 2021...?
There's the 2006 PSP remake (not to be confused by the PS3 sequel) made by Team17.
22:35 That part was perfectly synced with the music, lol. Nice video. :)
50:25 too!
Wow, 6 hours of game!! Good job.
This was perfection. We were so happy and we didn't know ❤

No lemmings were hurt during playing this game. (great music also)
I wouldn’t agree with that me oul mucker
Memories……
I think this was the game I played at most on Amiga (beside Lemmings II and Oh No More Lemmings)
Masterpiece!

Nice, never played this on amiga from what I can remember, did play it on dos tho. As usual Amiga had the better version it seems. Thanks!
I used to love playing this game on the game gear. I didn't get very far though. But it was fun.
Great!!!!
I played with that used mouse 🐁 amiga 😂😂
People who designed these puzzles back then must have been very smart
I had the CD32 version, which took a bit of getting used to with the controller and the pointer!
30 years old.. Lol.. I be like 4. Wonder when I turn 64 what will we remember this year
Just noticed some of the levels and music were taken from other games, "Menace" and "Shadow of the beast"
5:47:38 this level took me longer than all the other Mayhem levels added together.
Though my solution was different to the one shown.
How'd you get the music to play properly on songs like the one on fun10?
I used a retail copy - the music tracks shouldn't be corrupt on those.
@@AL82RetrogamingLongplays is this recorded straight from an amiga?
thx I'm love lemmings amiga

RAPTUROUS APPLAUSE! 👏👏👏😀
3:17:00 my favourite level

How was it censored?
DMA Designs made this? 😂 They're Rockstar now making Lemmings a Rockstar game.
True??
Yep.
@@amshermansen that's cool
5:58:36 All seven of them 😁
@@viva2archive lol... I love the names for the levels.. Like pea soup, down along up in that order.. :)
