it was a great series and beautiful scenery. Thanks for bringing it to us!
Thanks Shelby. Iceland was one of those places we had thought about going for years
Love this tip video for Iceland. I think every trip you do should have an ending tip video. As always love the outtakes. Thanks again, Love you guys.
We have thought about doing that for every trip, I think that is a great idea
Great video you two. Lots of information, and it's great that you put this out because probably a lot of people wouldn't bring the right clothes on the trip
Thanks, layers and warm clothes were essential
Enjoyed your Iceland series and it was invaluable to me as I planned our 25th Anniversary fly&drive trip the middle of October. Amazing trip and would love to return at some point in the future.
That's great to hear. We love making these videos either way but it is really rewarding when we hear that they were helpful to other travelers! We are really glad you had a good trip.
Great tips! We RVed the Ring Road the end of July beginning of August and somehow hit a really good weather stretch. Barely any rain and somewhat warm for Iceland. I actually wish I had brought a pair of shorts or capris for a few of the days-especially when hiking! Layers for sure because it’s so true that it changes so suddenly! It was such an epic place and we want to go back for sure!
Dang! Short in Iceland, That must have been so nice! The weather there can be so unpredictable there. Glad you got a good stretch
Good tips! As a local I can´t emphasize enough that you need to layer and layer and layer
Oh yeah, You can always take a layer off, but if you don't have enough, you will regret it....
Saved and saved. We are going to get there soon!!
Awesome! Let us know if you need any help planning/ have questions.
Great info video I’m going to Iceland from a cruise in June 2023 loved the bloopers!!
Have an awesome trip! Let us know if you have any questions that we can help with
@@TheAwkwardTourists oh I will I watched some of the other ones about Iceland looks epic
I usually do grab cash when I go to a foreign country, but didn't in Iceland and had zero problems! Agree 100% on gas station food. We rented a car, but I also did a few day tours on buses that I'm glad I did because the fog was so bad. And it was July and I was in a winter coat, hat and gloves!
Definitely pays to be prepped for all types of weather
I just spent 12 days in Iceland, where I completed the Ring Road and spent a few days in Reykjavik as well, and never used any local currency at all.
Totally agree with these tips! I've been to Iceland a few week after you guys and I would say the same to anyone! :)
Thanks, Just a few things that helped us out on our trip. Hopefully it can helps others too
Loved this video 😊 we are thinking of travelling beginning of June, how is the weather then? Should we Still pack winter clothes?
I would recommend packing clothes for all types of weather. We were there in May and it was still snowing some days. But In June it could be shorts and t shirt weather too. Definitely bring a rain jacket, and rain pants if you plan on hiking, these came in useful when we went behind waterfalls too. Layers are key!
Do you know anything about the amount or access of bathrooms around the ring road? This is the one thing I'm nervous about. Also, are you able to use the bathrooms at camp sites or do you have to pay the camping price?
There are plenty of bathrooms. Every tiny town has a gas station where you can use the bathroom for free, And all the parking areas for the well known attractions have bathrooms also. We were also able to use camp site bathrooms even if we were not staying at the campground. Unless you are traveling in the winter, where some places might be closed for the season, you should be fine
@@TheAwkwardTourists Thank you so much for responding!!
Hello , now in 2022. The Covid travel rule still the same ? Or better for the vaccination people ?
To my knowledge, currently if you are vaccinated you do not have to get tested upon arrival to Iceland, But that can change quickly so best to keep checking back before your trip to keep up with current requirements. A quick google search of "iceland travel requirements" should give you all the answers you need
You forgot to say don’t fly your drone into a waterfall
😂
Touche!
My number 1 tip: realize you’ll come again to see more.
Truth! We had 19 days there and still missed sooo much!
