I just bought a TDub about 3 weeks ago, haven't taken it out on trails yet done about 100 miles just going around the neighborhood to get used to driving a motorcycle. In any case I will definitely be relying on your How-to videos in the coming years!

I've been riding a few years now, I still mouch around my neighbour for little runs in the evening when the roads are empty, my weapon of choice is a KLX250 Kawasaki with road tyres. Hope you're enjoying you bike. Lightweight dual sport bikes are a lot of fun.

I could make a video showing where all the cracks are. and just to make people aware that it can happen, because you probably won't see them until you start looking. welding should work, will be interesting to see what happens. i'm always going to be keeping an eye out for them from now on, if worse comes to worse ill replace the entire frame, it's 700 bucks for a brand new oem yamaha one, I was surprised to see they actually sold just the frames
it can happen to any off road bike that used hard aluminum isn't a bad idea, better to break the foot pegs than your frame. yeah the lines and cables is the hardest part about raising the handle bars. you could do risers and tall atv bars. seat concepts makes a more comfortable seat. best of luck!
Been watching your videos for about 6 months, made me finally get a dual sport (klx250). I’m really jealous of all your areas you get to ride. Living in Las Vegas it’s not quite as the same terrain. Wish I had a friend like you to go riding with all the time, none of my friends ever want to go haha. Maybe someday I’ll bring my bike to Colorado to do some real riding and we can link up.

These 2 buildings caught my attention but it wasn't until seeing the mine by Central City did I think it through. That Virginia Canyon Road was an awesome drive. Dude! That's such a great video. I'm from South Central Kentucky and 95 percent of our roads are paved now. I own a Harley but I have a Tdub coming in January. I paid a down payment so the dealership will hold it for me. I can't wait! Due to covid the dealerships haven't got tdubs in stock here.

Im 6'2" and weigh 200lbs .. what's the best dual sport for a larger person? I don't need a screamer, but I want it to be able to get me up hills, and keep up with traffic.
Maybe this summer I will ride my drz400 across the country to ride and camp with you. I started wat hi g your vids a few years back and you inspired me to get a dual sport. I started with a xt250 and now I'm on heavily modified drz400. Its currently in it's supermoto gear but I can easily throw back on the dual sport gear for trails and camping.

God I wish I could visit Colorado... But I couldn't even if I could afford it. Lung cancer and only one lung... I can barely breathe in FL lol I'd be permanently purple in Colorado! Looks amazing though! FL has nowhere fun to ride. Our streets are death traps and the beaches are crowded with tourists, and the trails are very few and far in between.... it sucks. I definitely need to find somewhere like Colorado that's closer to sea level.
yeah it's amazing riding here for sure. dang so sorry to hear that, ill be praying for you bro. yeah it seems like the eastern states don't have a lot for off road riding. Washington state seems pretty cool. has a lot of places to ride and is close to sea level. but I guess it has mountains too, maybe California, you have the sea then when you go east into the mountains a bit you have endless off riding all the way to Nevada. and not as high up as Colorado.

thanks! glad to hear you enjoyed it. it depends. there is a rampart range which is about 25 minutes from my house, then there is idaho springs which is about an hour and half from my house. (the place I was in this video) I take the back roads and never have to go over 55 but I only do that for short amounts of time. I have higher gearing so it's easier on the engine.

yeah it's geared soo low from the factory. stock is 14/50, then I went 14/47 then to 15/50. those are both good for on and on riding. almost the same actually. made a video about it. no problem
They are between Idaho springs and Central city/Blackhawk. Lots of old mines, mining roads in the area. I think they are in the Nevadaville ghost town at one point.
I can't help you with the tank but I can with the hand guards and mirrors from Highway Dirt Bikes. I have them on my XR650L and love them. www.highwaydirtbikes.com/
I think the clark tank is what people get for the tw200. never used it though. the highway dirt bikes guards are the best, a little pricey but well worth it. you will never have to buy hand guards again haha

@@TDubsKid Yeah you were very close to it, when you went under the mining bridge thing, it's a lil further up that road. I can't remember exactly where you turn. But it is easy to miss. There's a bunch of totally intact buildings, very cool
oh cool! colorado is awesome. that would be cool I could show you how to get from sedalia all the way to salida takeing mostly all dirt. it's a very unique ride. some of the roads are overgrown but still have street signs. and there are these crazy rolling hills. it's almost like your on a different planet

yeah, haha just welded my subframe where my rack sits, that was cracked, my exhuast bracket is broke in half and my frame has a crack near the right foot peg. it gets used and abused a lot haha

Great fun to watch! I was wondering how far do you ride from home on your TDub to get to these places, being that it goes about 50 not posing it too hard?
thanks! glad to hear you enjoyed it. it depends. there is a rampart range which is about 25 minutes from my house, then there is idaho springs which is about an hour and half from my house. (the place I was in this video) I take the back roads and never have to go over 55 but I only do that for short amounts of time. I have higher gearing so it's easier on the engine.

yeah it's geared soo low from the factory. stock is 14/50, then I went 14/47 then to 15/50. those are both good for on and on riding. almost the same actually. made a video about it. no problem

They are between Idaho springs and Central city/Blackhawk. Lots of old mines, mining roads in the area. I think they are in the Nevadaville ghost town at one point.

I can't help you with the tank but I can with the hand guards and mirrors from Highway Dirt Bikes. I have them on my XR650L and love them. www.highwaydirtbikes.com/
I think the clark tank is what people get for the tw200. never used it though. the highway dirt bikes guards are the best, a little pricey but well worth it. you will never have to buy hand guards again haha

@@TDubsKid Yeah you were very close to it, when you went under the mining bridge thing, it's a lil further up that road. I can't remember exactly where you turn. But it is easy to miss. There's a bunch of totally intact buildings, very cool

oh cool! colorado is awesome. that would be cool I could show you how to get from sedalia all the way to salida takeing mostly all dirt. it's a very unique ride. some of the roads are overgrown but still have street signs. and there are these crazy rolling hills. it's almost like your on a different planet

yeah, haha just welded my subframe where my rack sits, that was cracked, my exhuast bracket is broke in half and my frame has a crack near the right foot peg. it gets used and abused a lot haha
