My mother, when she heard this song for the first time, burst into tears. I also cried when I heard for the first time. And my sister. Although it was at different times. But for each of us it has become something special. It became a personal revelation for each of us.

Our son committed suicide in April of 2018. This song was left as a message to me that I found 4 1/2 years later. I can actually put myself in the artist view as if I were him and feel the same thing about the death of someone close, like a wife or son. It was his way of telling us it would be ok, and to not "what if" myself to death or let it haunt us. Sorry for the dark story, but That said, --(agree with Anton Rozzouk who said) "This guy is probably the most underrated musician ever. He’s got an extraordinary voice and an awesome personality" - I'll be looking for Year of the Tiger and others I see listed. Thank you Myles....

Oh that was the first thing I noticed after listening to this epic song on repeat. On an already epic guitar solo he hits that insane high note in the background. This whole album is beautiful from beginning to end and deserves a Grammy next year. Why the hell was it only in 2022 that I got to see this masterpiece?
I came back home across country for my lost first love. Your song Blackbird really inspired me to. I almost lost my life in a windy blizzard to get here but I made it by a miracle. Something was fighting against me in my purpose (it tried to sweep me away). I couldn't find him here but when I did find him i noticed by his different addresses that he also had traveled across some states around the same time and seemed to be heading home too. Then, after 4 years of searching I almost gave up. Then one day I felt an urgency in my heart and spirit that I needed to search again. I did and I found him. Only it was too late. He'd died that winter. Ten days before he passed, he came to me in a dream at our most special place in the past. We hugged and we were able to tell each other that we didn't ever want to leave and separate all those years before. We finally reconciled after all those years. That's what we both really needed. Now, I know I'll see him again someday. Love is forever and life is too. Then in my grieving for him one day I heard this song. I felt that he was singing this to me saying for me to move forward in my life and that it's ok for me to live and love again. Love does heal no matter how broken the heart is. God bless you Myles. Thanks for this song. It's so amazing and means the world to me. ❤️✌️👩🦰⚡💥💗

I'm proud to be a Myles fan at such a young age. All the other kids in school listen to bullshit. I'm not a rap hater. I enjoy real hip hop like Eminem, 2 PAC, DMX, Snoop Dog, Easy E, Dr. Dre, Macklemore; Stuff like that, but Linkin Park, GNR, Aerosmith and Avenged Sevenfold have always been my favorites. When I discovered Alter Bridge about 3 years ago, the main thing was Myles' voice. I had discovered my true fsf (favorite singer forever - cheesy but true), and it was only made 10 times better when I discovered that my favorite singer in the world was working with my all time fav guitar player, Slash. I love you Myles for all the wonderful musical experiences you've provided for me over the years. I can't thank you enough.

Christianity and it's million faces is to some degree unfortunately a big ton of crap... So many people fall for the this sharade and magic show religious leaders put up to spread false hope. I was Christian once and am Jewish now! The big difference between the two is this christianity is a religion - Judaism is a lifestyle. A choice you make based on the truth. How do I know that Judaism is the foundation of faith? Remove Mohammed and Jesus.... What do you have?! You have the Torah! The old testament...the common denominator in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. And what is written in there? Amongst other things God formed a nation he called his own and gave them a manual on how to be good people! Nowhere does it say not to seek help when you need it or that God wants to make you crazy rich or that accepting Christ will give you some kind of golden ticket to heaven.... Those are lies guys! Use your common sense and understand that you when reading your Bible you won't read about Christian's! Those people are all Jews! Living Jewish lives, and dealing with conflicts in Judaism! Why are ppl celebrating Christmas and easter yet no one in scripture does? No wonder ppl are confused... It's time to ask pastors the right questions! Christianity is idolatry. If you use your head you'll figure it out too....think about it... There are no Christian's in the Bible.... There can't be because the word Christian is not Hebrew! Also your Bible is a translation by interpreters of the Hebrew language... And I say interpreters because in Hebrew one word can have 10 different meanings! I could go on and on but my basic point is that I get the frustration with religion but I now understand that God has nothing to do with that... My frustrations is man made - by people who sell lies to make profit
