Hey there, Josh Royer here, aka Kyle's Brother, aka video guy/editor. Join me on an epic journey through Blade Show 2024, where I challenge myself to see every table and booth over the course of three action-packed days. From rare collectibles to the latest innovations in knife making, I cover almost all of it in this video!

Thanks for lingering at my table! ❤
Pleasantly surprised to see my own knife at 1:39:41 (the art-knife based on the fight against gravity throughout the ages) - Ambition's Edge. Thank you for having a look! :)
My uncle Kevin and I had it planned for a year to go to the Atlanta Blade Show this year but he passed away from a 4-wheeler accident after tagging a 8-point buck. His knife collection is MASSIVE, literally a hunting cabin that's almost like a knife museum.
I'm currently saving up money then building the courage to ask the Royer family to buy a low-end knife for Kevin since it was his DREAM to own a Royer knife. He loved this channel and introduced me to it when there was only like 800 subs. Much love from Southern Illinois.
Amazing content. Thank you for taking the time, to take us along
It's so cool how the world happily converges to the simple tool for cutting stuff
Most important tool for human survival.
Nice to meet ya!
Ha! Minute 10! ❤😍
Thank you for posting this. What an awesome record and reference.
Josh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!! You are probably the first person (on youtube and in general) who was kind enough and made a REAL VIRTUAL journey on the ALL Blade Show! Thank you for 1000 times- you made one of my dream comes truth (I've never been on the blade show, but I alawys wanted)! As all "video guys", you are always in the "shadow", however this time, my comment and my gratitude is dedicated for you (and you only!).. Maybe next year I will have a chance to shake your hand! Best regards, David!
Awesome video, Josh!!! It was so great to finally meet you, Kyle, Mom, and Dad, in person! You guys are amazing! Love you guys! 💙🙏🏻😎👍🏻
Awesome walk through.
Great job, and thank you!!
Thank you for covering this the way you did. I was always under the impression that the show was so small and there was just a handful of makers and vendors. This really shows the size of the show. Thank you. I personally would like to see a cut without the background music. But good job thank you for showing all of this the way you did.
Thank you. I've been very curious about Blade Show.
Great job champion 🏆
I was waiting for the Graphene sword update. Not receiving any video notification and no upload made me a little worried, was scared that something terrible happened and you starting from scratch. time 1:50 in this video was a happy moment for me, looks like the sword is complete now, I believe you were preparing for this event. Good to see the sword and will be waiting for your graphene sword completion video. Happy forging.
I havent oo'd and ah'd this much since the last time i was in toys'r'us as a kid. Thank you so much for sharing
Best rewiev!!! Thanks!
Kyle, thank you! This is one of those things I wanted to do that nobody else within my family is into so it couldn’t / won’t/ didn’t: happen for me. Yunno when you see something that really floats your boat it would be really cool to share your thoughts on what you’re seeing. A lot of us may have some thoughts and your spark of challenge may ignite a fire that could lead to a new project.
God bless you, and your family.
Awesome content, you even found some Robbie Dalton Automatics, .....Thanks.
Guau !!! Es asombroso la cantidad de artesanos que hay fabricando cuchillos de muy buena calidad saludos desde Argentina🇦🇷
Sir you have an amazing talent. I stumbled upon your channel last night and i've watched few videos.
If these were the old times, your name would be in history books like some great smiths of old . People would watch your works and be in awe and say : man fuck , that guy was amazing
What an excellent, comprehensive video. Thank you for this.
That was overwhelming.
The "tactical" spatulas made me chuckle.
Thanks for posting this.
Wow the pattern weld on that blade at 58:26! HOW did that smith do that? I'm thunderstruck.
Kyle, I’m sitting here watching the knife show episode and thought of a build for you;
Why not save one block off your next 8-10 pattern Damascus projects and combine them into sort of a greatest hits blade…? I think it would be an amazing display of all your patterns in one blade, and it would also give you memories from each build.
Awesome idea
"Like walking a Marathon", well i mean its like just less than half a marathon! Nice video, great to see them all and would love to go in person.
I was hoping to see the Husk stand .... ;)
Thanks for the walk through, but I wish you would have spent more time in the booths with some of the equipment vendors vs. scanning so many of the tables of the guys that just had cases full of old production knives and memorabilia.. In the booth area, you zoomed through so fast that the camera didn't even have time to focus or stabilize on what was in front of it..
I finally made it in a Kyle Royer videos 12:48
Cool 😊
Your knives and swords are as nice as anything shown.
What about the MS program
If that was your completed Griffon sword… what a bummer Kyle🥺
13:46 can you do a gold inlay directly on the blade ??
yes!
I think what's wild to me is that you'll see a blade that has a ton of work put in into it. Handmade Damascus steel etc. Exotic handle material, and it'll be around $3000. Then you'll see some boring titanium handled tactical folder with no Damascus blade for the same price lol. And people will snap them up as quick as something that took 10 times longer to make.
has this guy ever made an OTF?
Top 10
I really need to step up my knife game... and my videos. 😂
Kyle, my man, did you actually post a video with your griffon sword in it without posting the final piece together video??? Did I miss something? I've been waiting weeks for you to post the last video for the griffon sword and instead I see it on here? It's the first thing I look for every time I log into TH-cam!
It shows in the video a sign "Griffon Sword WIP", work in progress, and you can hear Kyle saying I still need to do work on the handle.
@@VikingExploration60 I know, I caught all of that. But there's been significant work on it since his last upload over 3 weeks! Just impatient and can't wait to watch its finale. It's more of a compliment than a complaint.
@@ZombieHandler Agree cannot wait for the update
Kudos on the music ! I just spent an hour in relaxation watching the beautiful knives on parade. Highly relaxing thank you. I just did “enjoy the show” thank you.
You have SPOILED us, Mr. Royer! All those knives were, with few exceptions, were incredibly boring! Please show us more of your exquisite craftsmanship!

So after watching all the aisles of knives you walked through I was thinking about all thousands of knives that need to be sold to afford one a living in the custom knife industry. Did you pay your dues in this world before your internet success? Or are you still doing this kind of stuff?
Amazing video but depressing music 😂
haha, i just selected a bunch of classical piano music.😂
*Haha. Look at all the millennials fascinated about expensive knives, all because they couldn't have one till they finished school. Haha*
incredibly fascinating
Still looking for a video of this knife show that focuses on the knives that people are actually willing to pay for, use daily, carry on their side or in their pocket... Not scared to sharpen it, scratch it, or just use it for cutting something... Ilmfao... It's unbelievable how much some of these knives are priced, just to bring them home and hang them on a wall... Art??? Maybe... Knives??? Hardly...
Great video buddy. You know, after watching the video I have seen alot of really great knives.. New and old.. The one thing that stands out for me alot is the fact that there are some people making "EYE CANDY" impractical knives.. It pretty much depressing to see so few making knives like a knife is supposed to be.. Durability, usability, practical, and nice to see.. Let's go back to the roots of awesome USA MADE cutlery, and start over... Dungeon and dragons was a game, not REAL... COME ON PEOPLE... 😂
