10:40 - its not, main gun turrets are fixed predefined values. What is strange, is the fact that you got really perma destroyed one, cause acording to WG, Kremlin, Soyuz and a GK have an exception, and their main gun turrets have not 10k HP, but 20k HP. So acording to the fact that BB AP pen to your turret does only owerpen dmg ( another WG rule ), that one poor B-turret ( its always that one, sadge ) had to be hit by the enemy BBs like 12 times. Sadly, you dont see it anywhere how many hits socred f.e. the Izumo, or the Maine, it only tells you that your turret is dmged ( but not by how many shell hits ), so yeah... You need to watch sometimes how many times your turret was hit by enemy and try to count / guess (?).
Yeh dissapointing to see pq doesnt know such basic thing Also there is a mod that shows turret and torpedo hps torps have random and seeing the diffrence between your torps in something like schliefen is everything sometimes
I am 100% convinced they buffed kurfurst's accuracy when they made it for premium. It never used to be an issue when it would snipe at you from range but now it's a damn near Montana broadside.
I mean, American and German BBs share a dispersion formula, so it can easily just be luck to get better salvos. Even more so if you are running accuracy mod slot 3 as at that point it's only a 4% difference in dispersion between Monty and GK, assuming the Monty is running APR2 and not reload mod. If the Monty has reload mod and the GK is running accuracy mod slot 3 the GK will actually be more accurate.
@@Stephen__White which is actually kind of crazy when you think about it. Pre-premium kurfurst, even with the dispersion layout change, was not the sniper it is now. If the guns perform the way they do now back then, it would have been a lot more popular ship.

But it's still lacked the consistency of the Montana and it wasn't that common to see the kurfurst obliterate full life ships with a single broadside. Now I see it all the time
Great Vid ! I got the GK for coal as my first coal ship and I love it and German BBs and have done very well with it, don't regret it at all ! I have a hybrid build on it buffing the secondary as well as the main 420 guns and have some tanking buffs as well and the GK is acutely very strong and pretty decently accurate main guns. Most people make the mistake of Yoloing in first thing and going broadside to shot all 4 turrets and get smashed and or have the wrong builds on GK in this meta. You have to build at least some into the main guns and they are pretty good. And every ship in this game is missing "a little something" there is no perfect ship.

i feel like a buff that would be good for G.K is give its superstructure french saturation.. when you’re bow in in a “high armour ship” as WG likes to say, and take 20 k because of your superstructure, it feels.. really uncomfortable to play, and yeah the turret angels are SO bad, what frustrating about the turret angles is that you can literally SEE that they can turn a bit more but just won’t.. upsetting because G.K is one of my favourite looking ships and i want to like it so much, but it’s just…. bad
I tend to find, albeit in legends; that the rear guns work out better at close range, when you quit the turn - and cross the T. Cross their path, cease you're turn.. and let the rear guns level out.. you'll get more opportunity to pass them, counter their turn to your other side, and eliminate them with a little 'kiting' angle to them..
GK is substantially more accurate than Pruessen in my experience. Brandenburg and Pommern as well. The dispersion of the 3 gun turrets just seems more consistent than the 2 gun ships.
GK was my first Battleship and still it is my favourite ❤ but the meta is not for GK nor for any brawler ships because of Subs and torps. In order to get aggressive with GK is only possible with teamwork or low players match making. Less players means GK can show her power. I wish they would give GK buffs.
When they made GK a special ship they should have given her the Pommern treatment. Same concept as with FdG and Pommern. Its the same hull but with more smaller guns and torps but no plane.
GK is much tankier than Schlieffen, which can be taken out much more easily when bullied and outnumbered. The advantage of torps and stronger secondaries does not, in my experience, outweigh the loss of armour and guns.
I honestly feel like what GK is missing is exactly what Preussen has, a faster reload and better overmatch. Let's be real even Monty isn't that great anymore purely because of how broken overmatch is, paired with the Americans having to choose slower than average reload or worse dispersion due to their accuracy and reload mods both being slot 6. Basically any BB not able to overmatch 30mm, or at least put out consistent damage via HE/SAP is just not really viable anymore when compared to the newer BBs. Like lets be real, why would you ever choose Monty or GK over Bungo or Ohio? You lose so much and get nearly nothing in return. GK could really use a reload rate buff, 28 seconds would be fine, honestly 27.5 would likely be perfectly fine as well. Monty and really almost all of the American BBs could use a reworking of their upgrades, to remove APR1 and give them aiming mod in slot 3, and make APR2 into a mix of APR1 and 2 but weaker. So basically 10% range 4% dispersion. That way it could be viable to run Monty reload mod, or Vermont reload mod, and still retain most of your accuracy, while still being able to go full into dispersion and get the same total overall. It would also make the American T5-8 a lot less painful because you would have a dispersion mod.
The random turret/torpedo health is literally one of, if not the absolute worst and laziest feature of this game. RNG is such a shit mechanic in a game like this.
This is becoming less and less rare. Most games now the BBs will sit at max range and refuse to put themselves in danger and then they're the first to complain when all the DDs are dead. WG needs to create more incentive to push forward but they just appear to be doing the opposite with the introduction of subs. I love this game but as a DD/cruiser person it is a struggle to play when the most armoured ships with the biggest health pools are nothing but snipers.
Entire spotting system rework is the best way to make bbs push. Make everyone in smoke blind seeing only the minimap then them stupid smoke he spamming farmers will be gone and yaaay bbs pushing again

Was happy when I got the GK prior to the it going for coal, though I am still sad that I haven’t gotten the newer t10 Germans

The full secondary build takes a lot of Captain skill points. The upgrade is painful, also, when the guns aren’t very accurate.
